I hired this company to perform roof sweeping, gutter cleaning, and moss treatment for $750, and the experience was incredibly disappointing. After the initial service, they left a white residue all over my roof. When I called to report the issue, they agreed to come back. Before they returned, I specifically told them that my deck had just been freshly painted and that it was critical that no chemicals or residue get on the new paint. I was assured their crew would be careful. Instead, they came back and sprayed the same white residue all over my freshly painted deck and railings. The paint was still curing, so I couldn't simply wash it off without risking damage to the finish. The photos speak for themselves. To make matters worse, the roof itself still isn't clean. I was told the moss treatment would cause the moss to fall off, but large amounts of moss remain visibly attached across the roof. The work I paid for was not completed to a reasonable standard. Because of this situation, I had to cancel a scheduled home inspection and delay my listing date, creating additional stress, inconvenience, and expense during an already time-sensitive real estate transaction. When I called to discuss the problems, I waited over 20 minutes to speak with someone and was told a manager would call me back. That never happened. What frustrates me most is not just the poor quality of the work, but the lack of accountability afterward. I paid for professional service and instead ended up with an unfinished roof, damage to freshly painted surfaces, delayed inspections, and no meaningful response from management. I cannot recommend this company based on my experience. If you're preparing a home for sale or need work done carefully around recently painted surfaces, I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere. read more

We found that water was getting around our bathroom skylight, so I reached out to Gu-Wi for a quote to seal it. They sent Erol, who was very courteous and took the time to explain how water was seeping in between the skylight and the frame. (He informed me that it appeared that whoever installed our window did not include sealant - but that some people/companies actually don't seal skylights). After completing the work on our roof, he shared photos showing where he applied the sealant. Although he couldn't test the sealant's effectiveness immediately since it needs time to dry, I believe the real test will come the next time we get our skylight washed. Rikki, Since you took the time to reply, I will update my review further. If nothing else, just to make you aware. When I finally dig an inspector out, he said there was no issue whatsoever and that I was fine to just clean up some minor water spots on an interior window and do a better job caulking. I finally went for a second opinion, and not only did they find the nails were not galvanized and installed on top of the roof instead of on the side, water had leaked in quite drastically leading to a $3000 repair. This other company literally walked on top of my roof and with her bare hands, picked up the entire tack strip that is supposed to keep things glued down. She couldn't believe the nails that were used and the placement but more so, that this was said to be 'no issue' by a professional. Your guy that came out to investigate literally never even put his hand on it to wiggle it around and see if there was an issue, he just looked - no ladder, just climbed part of my balcony and looked. If I had listened to him and just caulked the interior window so that more water wouldn't have come through, this would've continued and become an absolutely horrific problem. I know customer service agents aren't always a reflection of the company but this gentleman was a 'master installer' his words. I'm not sure what there is more to say, but as a business owner you may want to know. As an aside, I do appreciate that even months later, someone responded to this. i had a very curious experience trying to get a window replacement bid but posting so that others know what to expect (or not.) this company was contacted when i generated a yelp project for a residential window replacement. note that at no point did i physically speak to someone on the phone or in person. communication went back and forth through the yelp project request and then on texts which i received telling me which date someone would come out, take a look and that 1-2 business days later i could expect an estimate via email (note: over yelp messaging, i provided my address, my email and my cell phone number in accordance with their protocol for completing an estimate.) the date of the visit came and went. the text i received the day before and the day of stated there was no need for me to be at home. EIGHT full business days have now passed and i never received confirmation or communication via email that a) someone came out b) they put together an estimate c) they're unable or unwilling to do this project. ABSOLUTELY NO COMMUNICATION! leading up to the agreed upon date, there were emails and texts saying someone would be out. it gave a person's name and said they do not nail down a time on the given date but that i could expect an estimate to follow. i found this problematic since most people i know work but also want to meet representatives from potential companies they may decide to go with. it felt very odd that they don't even provide prospective customers a window of time when the person will show up, but i still provided my info because i was curious, given the great ratings, what kind of estimate they would provide me. not sure if others are willing to go with a company that rolls like this but i'm not. lack of communication, lack of follow through, lack of clarification (if that's what they needed?). who knows! i hate putting up bad reviews but for the sake of others who may be in the market for estimates on home projects, this experience left A LOT to be desired. i'm left wondering how they've gotten so many 5star reviews and if this experience was a one-off? regardless, there was ZERO follow up, zero communication and i have zero compulsion to contact them again when/if i have any need for gutter or future window work. read more

Our aging gutters were still functional but I wanted them replaced sooner than later. Justine from Gu-Wi was fast to respond and their bid came in the middle of ones I received. I found Gu-Wi's estimate to be very thorough, offered optional upgrades I could pick and choose from and Justin was able to get us scheduled within days. All of the communication/updating process is by text, emails and/or phone interaction prior to the actual day of installation. Day of installation, I couldn't have been more pleased with the excellent workmanship Angel and Luis displayed removing and replacing 120+ linear feet of gutter, complete with new downspouts and all new screw down aluminum gutter guards. Having been in the construction trades for 35+ years I know and appreciate excellent workmanship when I see it. These two pros were fast, safe and had the job completed within 4 hours and left the area spotless. They were happy to answer all my questions regarding product quality and offered several maintenance recommendations. The entire process from the initial response thru the final billing process was expertly coordinated via text/email with Justine, the company office manager. To be honest, having been a small business owner/operator I generally favor working with the smaller shops but the two bids I received from the little guys were significantly higher, possibly because they did not have their own gutter fabricator. Wu-Gi will certainly be on my short list of contractors for future projects as I now know they also do roofing, windows, painting and much more. read more

Over the past 5 years, myself and many customers that I have spoken to reported/experienced over charging and no response from management or account managers when requests to refund or resolve services not completed or inaccurate advice on how to proceed with their gutters and windows home issues. I will be filing a complaint with the WA Attorney General to prompt and investigate billing practices and audit. I encourage others to do so as well. It seems they rely on customers lack of knowledge to escalate and fatigue from constant calling with no response. With enough reports - this will prompt the business to be more accountable. After waiting through half the day, I contacted them, only to be told that the tech had *just* reviewed the project description and concluded--incorrectly--that I needed a new roof, and that we reschedule the appointment.
