I had a fairly minor but intricate gutter repair needed. It was causing minimal issues but waiting even a week could have caused huge problems for my home. The other companies I reached out to were too busy, but the owner took my call and really listened to my issue. I needed the job done really quickly. Many companies I contacted via Yelp CLAIMED they did gutters, but turns out they only do gutters when they install a roof for you. We didn't need a new roof. I've hated our ugly white gutters since we bought the house - I've wanted brown ones to better match our house color. There was nothing really wrong with the old white ones, although we learned they were not angled properly. Jim responded immediately to my request for quote, and was at our house within hours. We wish to give a loud shout out to Steve, owner of All About Gutters whose team did a fantastic job for our home in Normandy Park. We have been experiencing water coming down through our gutters for years (home built in 1956), so a repair was needed to replace a 60 ft section of gutter and about 25 ft of fascia behind it. After meeting 5 other contractors, Steve came and gave us a good quote to do such repairs. On my request, he also bid on replacing the gutter system for the whole house and replacing all (12 ) downspouts. As he said, he never tried to negotiate but, rather put his best foot forward. His product guarantees were equal or better than the competitors and price were far more attractive. Best of all his crew did the whole job (say 300 ft gutters + downspouts) in one and a half days, making the home look years younger (as new gutters are prepainted. Steve picked a nice color for us. He didn't try to upsell us, but I did not want to have a section of new gutter with the rest of the old ones hanging next to it. Our choice. Best gutter cleaning in last 22 years! Cleaned the gutters, washed all debris out, cleaned the downspouts. Some of the drain pipes were clogged and they even cleaned them out. After a serious amount of research on gutter guards I decided to have the Gutter Glove product installed. Steve's videos were helpful in understanding the options and pros/cons. I had additional questions after the onsite visit and Steve was terrific about calling me and walking me through both the options for our house as well as answering my questions about warranty and workmanship. The pricing was in line with other options we evaluated. We had some existing gutter concerns that they remedied (higher gutters not efficiently flowing into lower) at no extra charge and they adjusted the price down when we decided to forego a lower-level guard on a gutter that we could clean out as needed. Much of our roof is two stories high and the installers were nice enough to take pictures of the installation and text them to me so I could see the work after it was completed without having to climb a ladder. They were efficient and professional - and when they drove away forgetting to leave us the telescoping broom they turned around and came back a short while later to drop it by. Have had the gutter covers in for a few months and they got tested with a very strong rainstorm. I had two great experiences with Steve -- first, he did a great job installing the Gutterglove system on my Kirkland home back in 2008. Recently, I called him to ask about algae growth clogging the fine steel mesh. I hired Steve to replace fachia and gutters on a 1953 home which still had the original fachia and gutters attached & were in bad shape. I did get one other estimate from Kevie (Loyalty Gutter) who said he could replace the fachia but when he came out said, oh you don't want to do that, no need for it' etc...Basically he didn't want to do it because it was too much work or maybe he didn't have qualified workers but bottom line is Steve had no problem with doing what was best for me and my house throughout the entire process. Whenever I called, sometimes it wasn't even a minute before I got a callback from Steve regarding my questions. He accommodated all my requests with ease. I asked him to have the fachia delivered months before installation so I could prime and paint it. He delivered on that. I had to postpone the installation date about a month due to the painting of the fachia with only a few days notice. He had no problem with that although I felt terrible for possibly messing up his schedule. The guys that installed the fachia and gutter were on time (surprise, yes there is a contractor that actually shows up on time), very professional and did everthing perfectly. The new gutter and fachia are absolutely beautiful and have made a huge difference in the appearance of the exterior. I had the pleasure of meeting Santiago who was one of the guys who worked on my house--wonderful person, hard worker, detail oriented and conscientious. I cannot say enough good things about my experience working with Steve--I only wish he could refer me to other great contractors (people) like him. Unfortunately, he only does gutter (and fachia). I also found out that my neighbor hired a Burien gutter company to replace their gutter and payed over $ 500 more than I did for the same gutter--without the downspout covers! First not only is Gutter Glove a better product but the owner/installer Steve is the hardest, best, attention to detail craftsman I have ever seen. He installed my new gutters,fixed the roof and fascia,asked about the style of the downspouts, corners, et al that I wanted every step of the way.He was always on time, worked 10-12 hours each day and his bid was 1/3 of the larger companies with the inferior products. If you just need plain gutters or a contained gutter system then Steve is the man.
