As a first-time user of the service, I was happy with the level of communication and the courtesy afforded me during the interactions with the main office and with the workers onsite. I arranged to have the screens, windows, and gutters cleaned and later added in the window frame, both inside and outside. A very good job was performed. While working inside, the staff took their shoes off and were very quiet and respectful of our home. The pictures provided once a job was finished helped greatly. As a customer having a window cleaning, go ahead and have the frames inside and out cleaned. The dirt accumulated on the frame is worth eliminating up front. In February '24, the week prior to our annual fundraising event in our building, I noticed how dirty our windows were. I didn't have a relationship with a window cleaner so I looked online for someone local, nearby, and called Artisan. I worked with Manie, sent him photos of all the windows to be cleaned, with measurements, and he got back to me promptly with a quote (which was a most reasonable amount.) Their worker came out a few days later and did a thorough, professional job. Site was left clean and all windows were spotless. Then Manie called to follow up, asking if our expections had been met and if we were fully satisfied. Artisan is now our go-to window cleaning service and we look forward to having them out again this summer to clean the second floor windows. read more

The only PRO: everyone I talked to was nice. ALL THE CONS: The net result is effectively a scam. Poor communication within the company led to a very dissatisfactory ending. My end result is paying way too much for a gutter cleaning I didn't want. It's not intentionally a scam, but that's how it ended up. I tried to get gutter repair. After a quote and decision I got tacked on a gutter cleaning in order to accomplish it. Ok. Then the tech balked at the repair but completed the cleaning. After giving them multiple chances, they never came back to do the repair all the while using inadequate photos to try to change the action into a full replacement that I originally ruled out. This was my first time ever having the windows cleaned so I had a lot of questions and they were very responsive. I asked about the "subcontractors" some reviewers mentioned and it's the same company, just a different name. The cleaner arrived within the time range specified. I was skeptical at first since he was alone and it's a multi-story property. He did a great job. I checked all the windows. This would go to a 5 Star rating if they would just come finish the job. The cleaning tech showed up on time. Mondo was quick, efficient and adaptable. Unfortunately one of the endcaps was knocked off the gutter during the cleaning process. Mondo did not have a replacement cap and said he would return to replace the cap. Two weeks later, after multiple attempts to contact the business via email and telephone, nobody has been out to finish the job. I did manage to speak with someone from the company last Monday (surprising since phone calls usually go to a full voicemail box), and that person PROMISED that someone would stop by to replace the end cap. Still no word from them other than an email to inform me that the invoice was a week past due (at least the accounting department is on point). Will never use again. The Tech did not know what was on the work order, they left a mess, they didn't put hose covers back on correctly and temperature froze over night. They also blew out a gutter screen we found later in the bushes. Very expensive and very disappointed. I needed the gutters on my house and garage cleaned after ignoring them for a couple of years. I did have a new roof put on the summer before, so I knew the gutters were okay, just needed cleaning. I got several bids and they were all around the same but Artisan was lowest. They got back to me promptly and scheduled the work a couple of weeks out, which worked fine for my schedule. Showed up on time, did the work, supplied me with photos of the before and after (kind of amazing to see your roof from that perspective!) and sent the invoice. Very professional and no surprises. Jeff from Artisan Window and Gutter Cleaning has treated our gutters and roof several times now and his service has been outstanding. Most recently, we had very stubborn moss on our roof which took several treatments to fully remove. Jeff voluntarily came back to our house for several weeks in a row to follow-up and retreat the roof, and the final charge didn't exceed the original estimate. I don't think Jeff planned on having to do this, but the fact that he stood by the original estimate and went above and beyond to make sure the problem was resolved exceeded my expectations. Kiro arrived at the appointed time to clean the gutters and windows (including wooden storm windows, inside and out) on our Fremont craftsman, and he did an excellent job. The price was reasonable, and I didn't have to deal with the anxiety of thinking about how much it would suck if I fell off the roof while trying to do the job myself! My downspout was disconnected and the owner suggested he would do it included as part of gutter cleaning. I saw the quote and it was reasonable so I accepted. The worker came and cleaned the downspout but forgot to reconnect the downspout as requested. I reached out to the owner and he said he will get the worker to fix it the next day. As promised, the worker came and fixed the downspout properly. I am giving 5 stars because the owner's communication was top notch and he responded on the worker's mistake promptly and therefore, was very conscious about saving customer experience. This is the best window cleaning company around! They have cleaned our windows both interior/exterior 3 times now and do an outstanding job each time. We have some very difficult windows to clean on our main floor due to leaded glass windows with patterns. I had a handful of companies who weren't comfortable or had the expertise to clean them. They did it with ease and gave me a very reasonable estimate. Also had our gutters cleaned and they did a great job. Would highly recommend them! read more

Not using them again. Artisan is subcontracting and service does not match what they sell you. Super frustrated. I scheduled a gutter cleaning with them and Josh explained the service over the phone. When the subcontractor showed up (not Josh!), the service performed was NOT the same as Josh had mentioned and didn't inspire much confidence. After a few weeks of rain it was clear that this work did not improve things a lot. A follow-up visit to redo the work was scheduled and the same subcontractor came. The subcontractor explained he would NOT clean like Josh had said that they would and did not do anything in the follow-up. Not only that, but the subcontractor tells Josh that he had recleaned the gutter during the follow-up, which was obviously not true. read more

Update 2/1/2016: Had a phone conversation with Josh, the owner of Artisan and was really surprised to hear that he appreciated my review. I was able to voice my frustrations with the lack of communication and he understood where I was coming from. He even offered to take my service fee away for the roof cleaning but I was able to conclude that they did indeed clean my roof so that was not necessary. We agreed that if I go forward with the moss cleaning he would take off some of the total cost for it for all the trouble. Overall, really happy he was able to call and take ownership of the issues I wrote below. __________________________________________________________________________ 1/31/2016 Initial Review: I contacted Artisan Window and Gutter cleaning to perform some cleaning on my townhouse. I picked them because of their stellar Yelp rating and am sad to say that I am extremely disappointed in them. Josh, their technician texted me on 11/13 saying he was going to clean my roof. My friend was staying at my place at the time and mentioned that Josh came and performed maybe about 20 minutes of work. He did take out a big piece of debris from my gutters which was very helpful but mentioned to my friend that he had to clean the rest of the gutters that following Saturday. He never came. Artisan then sent me a bill for $175 on 1/12 (nearly two months after Josh talked to me) and claimed that Josh performed the cleaning on 12/4. A date where my wife was home and had no recollection of him coming. I was surprised that this bill came and was more concerned that they never notified me when the cleaning was done. Not to mention, this bill was sent nearly a month after the cleaning was supposedly done. I asked if they had pictures of my roof and they said that they don't perform that unless it was for a moss removal. Look, if I had the ability to look at my roof I would. But I don't have any way of checking it out unless I drop money on a really tall ladder or if I get a drone (none of those things are happening) so I then asked for a moss removal estimate and they mentioned that they will only do it if I paid. So I paid and asked them to come and we agreed that Josh would come back on Saturday 1/23. He never came, AGAIN. I followed up with an email that day and I got no response. On 1/26, I got a quote for $740 to perform moss removal. They never came to my house. I'm curious to know how they came up with this estimate without actually showing up. I decided to not even respond because I do not trust anyone at this company. I will be getting pictures of my roof shortly and will let you know if they actually did clean it. Look I'm sure Artisan does a great job with roof cleaning, the pictures obviously show they know how to do their work. I do want to echo what Janet S. (Review on 1/23/2015) said about them being unreliable because they are EXTREMELY unreliable. I would really like it if they contacted me if they couldn't make a scheduled appointment or randomly showed up at my place. read more

I just recommended this business to my neighbor, who commented on what a great job had been done, and then decided to write my first yelp review. Jeff came to my house, evaluated, and gave me an estimate that was SIGNIFICANTLY less than a competitor. He removed established moss and a lot of debris, with no fuss and great clean up. He brushed off my garage roof at no extra charge. He called when he was going to be late because another job had run over--which says to me that he made sure he did right by that customer also--and then gave me a little discount because he had was late.
