Need a tool? Come check out Harbor Freight!! This smaller hardware shop feels like a nice balance of these larger retailers with a small town vibe! Here you'll be able to shop for your gardening tools or next construction project. The staff is so friendly. This store is not a great HFT location. Fundamentally, HFT's systems are flawed, and they cannot keep a busy small store stocked, and this is a busy small store. They are constantly out of most items, and pretty much all items on sale. HFT cannot fix it, because they have nowhere to store extra stock at small locations like this, so its permanently poor. Add to that the overall chain's issues with lying about everything: Tool Spec claims (all false), usefulness of the ITC registration (I have NEVER had them look up a missing receipt in the system, because this store (and no store) will do it. Because if you have bought a lot, it takes hours to find a purchase in their system. Then there is the small print on the coupons. But the biggest problem with HFT online is that the reviews are curated to produce false scoring. Negative reviews are removed. (Positive reviews are edited if problematic, negative removed), and this skews the scoring. So the online reviews are basically all lies. If you want to see how an HFT tool performs, then look only at the 1-star reviews. (A tool might not be as bad as 1-star, but the 1-star reviews are generally where the truth rests.) Anything written on an HFT box is just pure fantasy. The company has walked away from battery and tool lines before (Earthquake XT 20V cost me a lot of money). It is not a trust worthy company. The Hercules line is proving to be disappointing as well. Its breath after 4 years is still disappointing, many of the tools are re-battery-socket retreads of the Bauer line (blowers for example), and the impact wrenches are all disappointing, except the giant Ultra Torque, which is just OK. Good Torque, but it weighs twice its competition. The Gen1 Icon tools were not (and are not) good. Then G2 are better, smoother, but still not really smooth. The Pittsburgh line chrome line remains a good deal. The Quinn line is a good deal. The Pittsburgh impact sockets are soft and not that great. I would not expect a compressor from HFT to last more than 3 years. I have old Craftsman that are 30 years old, used every day. read more

God I wish I had seen the reviews prior to buying anything at this store. Bought aviation snips to cut a stainless steel mesh except.. IT DIDN'T CUT IT AT ALL. My kitchen scissors were actually what worked. I came to this store to return it and unfortunately, I had the snips and the receipt in a bag with an alcohol pad and the middle of the receipt was wiped out, however, the name of the store, the date of purchase, the price, AND the transaction # were all visible. (See pics) The guy at the register, Cesar, immediately asked me my #. I said I didn't sign up so then he said he can't do the return. I pointed out all of the above to do a return and he kept making a fuss. Thankfully he asked another guy to read the transaction # and it worked BUT... I had to sign up for their stupid system like I'm a criminal. For $5, I would've just kept the damn thing but it doesn't even work. But now I know to keep away from this store. read more

Love Harbor Freight for the wide selection of tools and low prices. I find their prices are lower than the big box stores. The staff were helpful and were walking around to assist customers. Super cool place to geek out on tools. read more

Great hardware store. I wanted a floor jack and boy did they have a selection. All sitting out for you to see and feel. Keep an eye out on their weekly ads. Things are always on sale. Plenty of parking. Thank you. read more

I don't know if its cause I'm in my mid thirties or what but walking aimlessly in one of these shops makes me feel good and I was having a lousy couple of years so yesterday I walked in. Staff was super nice bought The aisles were stocked well. My husband and I went in to purchase one item. At checkout, we were informed that we would need to sign up with our phone number to make the return process easier. When we politely declined to sign up, the manager insisted that we do so, but we continued to decline. She then mentioned that we would need the original receipt for any return. Sure enough, about six days later, we returned to the store to return an item, and Sarah, the manager on duty, asked for our phone number to look up the receipt. We informed her that we had not signed up at the time of purchase, and she said she could not proceed with the return. We kindly reminded her that the other manager had told us we could return the item if we had the physical receipt. Sarah continued to insist that she might not be able to process the return without our phone number in the system. After repeating what the other manager had told us, she finally processed the return. Overall, it was a terrible experience. Never have we heard of such a rule to have to sign up for their reward system to be able to return any item. read more

I don't know what they changed, but this Harbor Freight no longer has the toxic, plasticky scent it used to. Their tools are amazingly affordable ($10 for a heat gun (Warrior), $25 for a cordless random orbital sander (Bauer), and $40 for a brushless, cordless, oscillating multi-tool (Bauer). They have a tool lineup for the beginner to people in the trades. All workers here have been very professional and helpful. Easy parking. Great location right off 280. Highest recommendation. Go here first before going to Home Depot, Lowes, or an auto parts store. read more

I purchased two cans of Bondo body filler. I only used half of one can. I tried to return the second sealed and unopened can the following day. The store associate and his assistant manager would not accept the return even though; 1- the can was sealed and, 2- the Harbor Freight Web site clearly states the product is returnable within 90 days (see the photo). Here's the exact statement from the H.F. Website under Warranty Information for Bondo Body Filler: "100% Satisfaction Guarantee! If for ANY reason you are not satisfied with this item, you may return it within 90 days for a full refund or replacement." I called the main H.F. Customer Service and they said the Item is indeed returnable. They asked me to go back to the store and return it. I went back to the store and the associate and his manager refused to take the return or even acknowledge the Return policy on H.F. website. See the attached photo. read more

I was greeted cheerfully by a friendly staffer when I got in which was nice. However, calling it a hardware store seems like a bit of a stretch. I could not find any of the things I was looking for and they directed me to HD. This seems like a great store for tools as the name suggests but not for hardware based on the category under which it is listed. read more

My son made me buy a bunch of stuff so that we can change the oil in our cars together. I haven't changed oil since I had a job doing it for $4 an hour, but I agreed. Then he was too busy to do anything together, so while he was off on a Tahoe holiday, I went to return it. Me: Hi I'd like to return this stuff. HF: Do we have your phone number? Me: No, why would I sign up to give you my phone number to sell to telemarketers? I already have to answer every scam call because when my brother calls me from prison to ask for money, it always shows up as some random phone number. HF: Well, do you have a receipt? Me: No, what kind of PSYCHOPATH keeps all their receipts? I have the credit card that I bought it with. HF: Well, our software doesn't support returns with just the credit card. That's why we recommend that you... (proceeds to give me a lecture that I also didn't sign up for). So now I have a jack and jack stands, and oil filter wrench, and everything else cluttering up my garage, where my son also stores the tire chains he got for his trip to Tahoe. read more

This is mostly about the online service, Don't buy anything online the return process sucks. I bought a ICON T10 scanner that the screen was defective (see photo) that was a month and a half ago, and they have received the scanner back and I have still not seen the refund back on my credit card. The website says you will receive a refund in 2 to 3 days. BS the email they sent with the notice that they have received the package and will be issuing a refund was almost two weeks ago. Now the say they haven't received the package and now I have to show proof via UPS even though they sent the email saying they have the package. Yes I am pissed as I was without a scanner for almost two months so I stupidly bought another T10 scanner and so far it works fine. What is it going to like if this one needs warranty work? read more

Never download the Harbor Freight app on your phone! If you do, you will be subjected to never ending popups that CANNOT be turned off! VERY unprofessional and totally obnoxious to customers! read more

I went there for the first time yesterday expecting a messy, disorganized store. Was I wrong. I went for a flashlight and bought a unit of two, small flashlights--a quality product. As I was walking through the lighting aisle, I noticed a solar lighting kit, which is something I would buy. Harbor Freight Tools is a small, well-organized and clean store with quality products and a friendly, helpful staff, making this an enjoyable shopping experience. read more

The employees are always playing games, complaining about customers, messing with each other on the radios and doing other distracting stuff. Lots of fake nice-ness and customer service that is obviously sarcastic. I was just there at closing time on Sunday March 5th 2023 and they were refusing people at the door at 5:58, people were begging to get in for a quick purchase and they were refusing. They were hounding everyone in the store personally and announcing over the radio at least 4 times in the last 10 minutes before close. Overall very childish and unprofessional. read more

The online customer service team rates 1 star max (0 stars is appropriate). They are smug and condescending. My experience with local stores is better and generally the local staff are more helpful and friendly. Avoid ordering online and buy locally if you can. If you must order online, Home Depot or Lowes offer a vastly superior experience with employees that seem to appreciate their customers. After my latest experience I will try my local Northern Tools in addition to the usual more expensive big box options. Life is too short to do business with people who talk down to you. read more

My first time visiting a Harbor Freight Tools store and I liked it. I was in the area and in need of some tools. Looked up this location and stopped by. There were several items on sale. Plenty of parking and the store was clean. I couldn't find what I was looking for so one of the employees helped me. They found the tools, loaded them in the cart for me and asked if I needed anything else. Smooth and friendly customer service. Good value for what I was is need of. Definitely recommend. read more

I experienced exceptional customer service specifically - and I apologize if I misspell his name- Bao, a supervisor, while checking me out chatted about my needs and recommended two alternative and less expensive items, which I purchased. The store was clean and busy. Seemed well stocked and well run. Staff were definitely knowledgeable. Price points ranged according to quality, predictably. Before writing this I looked at some reviews. There seemed to be a disconnect with the 1-3 star reviewers, not to dismiss their feelings, and a lot were complaining about online service. But today I had top notch and thank you Bao- you should be managerial! By the way there was a lot of pointing out that tools are made in China- yes. Probably. But what's not? Look at Amazon. I'd rather support a brick and mortar that by the way has a great return policy and imo the minimal extra amount for a 1-5 year warranty is worth it- especially if you are a person who expects your Chinese made products to fail. read more

A woman with short dark hair named Jen sold my wife a toilet plunger that shot grey water back up into my face through holes in the product when I used it. She said it worked great. It was 12$. We'll be returning it. I was an hour late to a church worship night because we had to buy a regular plunger that worked. Not those fancy do hickeys. The cash register people were great though. They said hi to us as we walked in. read more

Pretty decent gear at an affordable price. I came in needing a hex wrench and wasn't sure what size I needed, so I found a pack with different sizes for ~$9. Honestly thought I would be spending more on just ONE so that was pretty nice. It looks like the quality of stuff are fairly cheap. Honestly, for the job I needed to get done, I didn't really need some fancy equipment. If you're looking for some tools/gear to get a simple job done, best bet is to come here versus some expensive home improvement store. read more

This is a great store if you are looking for certain basic items. For any "simple" item that does not need a lot of precision, such as paint brushes for spreading glue, tarps, or rollers for moving boxes, rope, or clamps etc.... the prices are amazing. I have never had a problem with any tools either. It's perfect if you need a tool that you will not use that often. For example, the small grinder was perfect for a one time project on a fence post. I would not recommend them for any expensive high precision item such as a miter saw. If you want high accuracy for baseboards or picture frames, I recommend paying double and getting a solid product that will last for years. read more

I left the following review on Harbor Freight's website and found that 1 star reviews are stacked way at the bottom, leaving busy shoppers to only access 5 star reviews. One must scroll 48 times to find my new review! This is deceptive and lacking in integrity. So let me make it easy for the prospective buyer-you! At least Yelp has easy access. "My husband wanted the 500 lb hydraulic cart for many years so as to lift/carry bulky parts for many of our home projects. I surprised him with this gift. After 90 day warranty expired- the hydraulic air pressure did too. It is not even useful as a regular cart now! I am really disappointed- and what a waste of $! Customer service is trash and a total waste of time. I bought a product value of $7.99 in few minutes I found out wasn't compatible with what I needed. Try to return it with reciept and as condition I have to provide ID (wich they will copy and maintain it as written in their return policy) I did not had my ID and no willing to give it to them to keep. My son drove me 12 miles to the store. They do not have a disclaimer of their return policy in plain view for customers, the manager showed it to me ,printed in back of reciept. Doesn't do any good after purchase is done. I stop doing business with them after 43 years. Be aware. The managers said is a company new policy. We are ruled in this country by Federal and State Customer protection laws and statutes, not company policies. Stay away from them. read more

My husband loves this place. It's a fantastic place to get all your tool needs at a lower price. Granted you get what you pay for, so the quality is lower than a brand name item you might buy at another home improvement department store. Hence recommend stopping by this establishment if you need a tool for minimal usage, or fancy a cheap knick knack (their extended arm grabber thing cost me $1.50 and it gets weekly use for all the socks that escaped behind the washer, or for all the snacks my husband hides from me on the top cabinet shelves, not to mention all the shits and giggles it brings us as we run around chasing each other with two of these as T-Rexes with longer arms!) Keep an eye out in your mail for those Retail Saver coupon clipping packs. There's always (yes, always) $5 off coupons and free items with purchase that change from time to time (mini solar flashlights, the awesome extendable arm grabber, ruler, etc) It's also located in a large shopping plaza with plenty of parking, so I often find myself venturing to Bed, Bath & Beyond or grabbing a quick bite at the multiple eateries while my husband is lost wandering in his home improvement Wonderland. You'll find some other conveniences in the plaza such as a Bank of America ATM kiosk on the left side of the lot, and a FedEx. It makes my husband deliriously happy so I'm happy with this spot. What more could I ask for. read more

My dad has been shopping at this location for years, and he always has a good thing to say about this store. My dad is getting older in years, and asked me to stop by the store for a few tools for him, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that everything good he's ever said about this store has been true. I came by with my elderly mother, and we were greeted at the door. My mom asked about the tools we were looking for, and the greeter let her know exactly where to find them, which made our trip very fast and easy. At the register, we were helped by Joao (I believe his name tag said JP) who was very patient with all of my mom's questions, and made sure to mention other products that would also be helpful.
