Best happy hour on the island! We discovered this place halfway through our trip and wish we would've found it sooner! Happy hour is from 11-5pm so you can get a great deal for lunch or dinner. The food was amazing. We highly recommend the chicken wings, cobb salad, and keiki menu. Probably the best, crispiest wings on the island! Also, their Mai Tai's are a generous size and delicious! The restaurant vibes are also immaculate! Disco balls and TVs everywhere. I would describe it as modern casual. Definitely family friendly but you can also watch a sporting event or just vibe out. We came to Happy Fish with a large group who were all in town for our wedding in June and the staff was so wonderful giving us a large space on the patio and taking such good care of us! We were told by another bartender in the area that we had to try the smash burger and she was not kidding, it was fantastic. The drinks were great and the space was fantastic. We had high hopes for this place. It was welcoming and the decor was super cute. We got the fish tacos, shrimp tacos, jalapeño poppers, sidewinder fries, and the smash burger. The mahi mahi was overcooked and very dry. Smash burger had no seasoning. Shrimp tacos looked like they took the already cooked shrimp out of a bag and put it down and topped it with mango salsa and cilantro. No flavor. The jalapeño poppers were ok half were cheese other half cream cheese. Sidewinder fries were the only things we liked unfortunately. Too bad we definitely thought it would be better. Super good environment though we watched the World Cup and ufc. The spot to watch the fights on vacation just bit to eat. We went for the World Cup - USA Vs Turkey. What could've been a really fun experience was ruined by a very grumpy server who clearly hated his job or his customers. When we finally got our food (over an hour later) it was really good but we've never experienced a server that was so clearly uninterested in "service" and really put a damper on the day. Not sure his name....koa? Short and grumpy. The food, drinks and atmosphere was good but would not go back. We finally were given menus and water and the waitress was apologetic-again, it was a busy night. She didn't come back for another 15-20 min and my 2 and 4 yr olds were starting to get cranky. When the food arrived, it was just okay. Everything in the area is pricey already, but we would've settled with a food truck or room service. Restaurant itself is spacious, music is loud. A little of a disappointment because we visited this space when the former restaurant was there back in 2022 and were blown away. We arrived for the Happy Hour and the service was great. However some of the food was subpar. The Good: tacos, burgers. And the drinks were fine. The Bad: basically anything fried. We think their oil was old. Unfortunately most of us got the Fish and chips and they were not good. The fish was very firm. Chicken wings had a bad oil taste to it.
