When on vacation in a resort like The Ritz, it's wonderful to find a place that you know you can drop into and have great food that isn't over the top at the end of a packed day. I can't honestly say enough about the quality of their food and freshness, and how much we are aligned with the chef's taste in cuisine. Their clams are off the charts so we had them many times. My personal go-to was the Melon Salad. Sometimes I just needed a light clean salad on a hot day and this one was absolutely perfect! We also had their Ono and Macadamia Nut Crusted Mahi Mahi, and the Beet Salad, and other dishes that were just fantastic. We also really like their casual golf course ambiance. For drinks I ordered the mai tai ($15) which was strong but still on the sweeter side. They have daily happy hour from 3-5pm and live music every Saturday from 6-8pm. We had a big group with kids and no reservations and they were able to accommodate us without a problem so we were very appreciative.

My other cousin enjoyed his Shrimp Scampi with fresh house made tagliatelle, capers, Kula tomato and basil. The dessert course was a great way to end our meal. I got the Pineapple Upside Down cake with a scoop of Ube Ice Cream, biscotti crumble and Kula Rum Caramel. She made great recommendations, and we were genuinely excited to return the next day. Unfortunately, our Saturday visit for happy hour was a completely different experience. Our server appeared very distracted, and our food arrived significantly later than tables seated well after us. The overall atmosphere became increasingly uncomfortable. What concerned us most was witnessing what appeared to be a manager ( a gentleman) confronting staff about alcohol being served to our server while she was actively working. We had no idea alcohol was involved, but seeing this situation unfold in front of guests at what is supposed to be a quality establishment was unsettling and inappropriate. Sadly, we will not be returning to either the resort or the restaurant after this . The situation felt disorganized and unprofessional, and ultimately unacceptable.
