This has got to be the brew pub with one of the most epic views in all of the country. Sipping delicious and inventive local beers while gazing out at the ocean and Molokai in the distance is an unbeatable way to spend a couple of hours in the afternoon. And the food is good too. I really enjoyed the grilled fish tacos. Nice sized pieces of fish that were moist and tasty. Good variety of crunchy, creamy, and spicy toppings. And a little side of chips and pico de gallo. Great lunch. My server was pleasant and attentive too, making it an all around very nice experience.

Maui Brewing has gone more upscale with its new location in Lahaina (inside the Outrigger Hotel next to Whalers Village). I preferred the feel of the old location in Napili as that was more like a tasting room but this place is beautiful and the view is outstanding. We went at sunset and listed to some music. The beer was great (we had a few). To eat, we had the tortilla chips and trio of dips (good but the chips were stale - I should have just asked for some new ones). I had the Fish and Chips (fish was a bit dry - 3.5/5). My daughter had the Guava BBQ Sando (really good - 4/5). We also tried the Butterfish (6/5). The service was 5/5. Our server was funny and did a great job. We will be back for beers and the view.

Maui. Brewing. If those 2 words combined don't make you happy then keep scrolling. lol! Cool restaurant with an ocean view. The good bites and drinks are a bonus. I didn't get our servers name but she was so sweet. The restaurant is on the outrigger resort property so it was convenient for us since we were staying there. They have live music in the evenings. What more could you ask for. Loved this place.

I do like the new location of this brewery. No longer in a strip mall, instead on the beach of Ka'anapali, it seems to be way busier than the last location which has to be a good thing, I would think. Same great beer, new atmosphere, friendly staff...what is not to like. Other than trying to find a place to park! LOL

We came here because we were exhausted after road to Hana. Food wise, they're ok, my beef brisket was very tender but lack of flavor. They should have put the juice broth on the side to dip, that would have been perfect, the ube mashed was good. Pineapple burger was ok, the truffle fries lack of flavor. I had some beer too and that was ok. Service was fairly quick, they came by to check on us. Ambiance is the winner here, ocean front and some live music.

Get the IMPERIAL COCONUT if you're a fan of dark chocolatey beers. It is like a Guinness on vacation. I got the flight but would just get the imperial next time. OMG HAZY was also good but I didn't like the Maui lite. It tasted like water to me but I am not a light beer person so I feel that is unfair for me to claim. Lahaina town brown was also good for a lighter dark beer.

Honestly, you can't beat the location. Right on Kaanapali Beach in West Maui. We didn't have reservations but we're able to get two seats at the bar in a matter of minutes which was perfect because we only came for drinks. We grabbed cold drinks, listened to the live music, and caught a beautiful Maui sunset. What more could you ask for?

Went here for the NBA finals , we waited about around 15 minutes from the hostess who was a liitle upset looking and told us we would be notified? Plenty of tables around but not even busy since it was about 2:30 pm, We got seated by another hostess who sat us and more friendlier than the first one .? Service was great, we ordered drinks and appetizers and my son watch the game while we sat and talked and enjoyed the nice weather in the outdoor dining.

Casual dining. Came for happy hour. There was no wait at all. Got seated with a nice ocean view. Unfortunately, they ran out of anything pork on the menu, so I didn't get to try their pork baos. Had the bikini blonde and big swell beer. Both were outstanding. Also ordered the MBC mai tai. It was way too sweet and tastes more like juice, couldn't taste any of the alcohol. Their calamari fries and pretzels were tasty. Can't wait to try more of their house brewed beers.

Dropped in on a Saturday night and was told it'd be a 45 minute wait. Shopped the gift shop and picked up a coaster and then got to the front to be told that our table was ready early. Tried the Da Hawaii Life, pork buns, and fish and chips. Lager 5/5 buns 3/5 not bad but wish there was more sauce and that pork was more melty or cripsy fish 3/5, crispy and huge portions but I didn't think particularly tasty. Fries 3/5 very average. Something under the table (which was inside) kept dripping on my foot.

We came for happy hour, waited in line to get a table, were told it was a 45 minute wait and put our names down. We walked down the beach and back, checked in, and found out the rude hostess had put us down as waitlist for the bar not the general seating or both. We would have completely missed happy hour. We were seated quickly after that. The hostess stand is a hot mess express! The service was very similarly disheveled. Waiters and food runners would run to many different tables looking for where they were supposed to drop off food, beers, plates, utensils, etc. It was comical how badly organized it all was. That said, our waiter was friendly and got us our food. The beers were tasty! The food was good. The truffle fries were fantastic, flavorful, and just the right size portion. The pork bao buns were not buns but tacos and the pork was so tiny in there they should have at least added some more veggies or something - it was mostly bread and would not have been worth it at full price. We love Maui Brewing, but have seen many other locations do it SOOOOO much better than these guys.

    Melissa J.

Great location, especially when you remember to get your parking validated...definitely a FREE score. The views of Kaanapali Beach are amazing, worth the trip for local brewed beer alone. The wait staff were friendly, easy going and accommodating. The menu is pretty basic, so if you are looking for bar food Oceanside this s the place to go. If you plan on coming make reservations in advance, they have two lines upon arrival and the non reservation one gets pretty backed up..

Out of several beers and my husband was really disappointed! I had a chicken cobb salad and husband had short ribs. Dishes weren't very good.

I also had the ahi tuna salad, which I absolutely loved. The simple, meatless nachos were another crowd favorite at our table. I also tried the Kula Berry Mojito. It was a little too sour for my taste, but the True North was perfect and definitely the standout drink of the night. Suggested tip is 25%, that's a huge red flag! Lahaina Brewing purchased Kohola brewing about one year ago. How I wish I had visited before that, because looking at historical Yelp reviews, the previous food offerings look SO much more interesting and were made with local and traditional products. Now what you get is $11 spam musubi, a pretzel that has both fish roe and sugary syrup on it (gross!) for $21, pseudo-Niçoise salad for $28 (WTF!), and imported shrimp cocktail for $5 a shrimp. Piss off! Even the server said it was a total rip-off. The menu is massively disappointing for those who actually have a frame of reference. Good thing we only came for beer. Tried the Kohola beer in Makawao and was very impressed. The Tall Story Pale Ale is really excellent, gold standard for pale ale, but you don't have to come here to enjoy it. Happy Hour is 2-5 p.m., $2 off Kohola draft and $4 off a glass of wine. Regular price beer is $8.50, fairly standard price. Unlike others, we had a good service experience. The ambience is comfortable, but I still would not return.

The special was this pork belly (I think) and honestly it didn't wow me. It was a bit bland and also the amount was so small. The Macaroni salad was good and rice was good.
