    Great spot to grab lunch or dinner. We sat by the water and enjoyed fish tacos and poke bowls. Food was tasty and satisfying with a cold beer. No waiting and the whales spouting made our lunch time even better. Westin's new remodel has paid off and the property was a joy to visit. They are offering good rates for locals with all sorts of perks. Check it out and you'll want to make this place your regular staycation with the ohana.,. We will be back in a few months to celebrate again. Cheers!

    This place was great. It was steps away from our hotel room and the beach with huge tvs, great service (thanks Lupe) and even live music. We had a card for a complimentary champagne toast as it was our honey moon so we decided to use it as well as try out their food. We ordered the ahi poke nachos, fish tacos chicken karaage and an order of spring rolls. We left full and satisfied.

    It looked busy but we made reservations. So we got seated right away. There was live music which is a plus for me. We got the poke nachos and chicken karaage for appetizers. They were both good! Chicken was crispy and tender. The nacho chips was crunchy and tasty too. I had the eat well fresh catch mahi mahi with cherry tomatoes , and asparagus. See photos!

    Sean at the bar is wonderful! He suggested a fun place called Pineapple Robot and we had a blast! I ate the poke nachos with the poke on the side as I have an allergy. They have corn tortillas but they came out with delicious gluten packed crisps that I could not enjoy. The waiter said they use tamari in the poke but we will see! I'm not sure how GF this is but it's my feeding time so I'm eating in slight fear. I did t eat too much as it wasn't as fresh as my arrogant tastebuds. Just next door at Ulu you can have the clams or macadamia crusted fish and it's 100% safe! I know because I ate them (;

    Wait staff was always so accomodating! Loved sitting at the bar during happy hour or live music. Jrs mai tai lives up to the hype. Loved the noodles, buger, & extra spicy chicken wings.

    Hale Mo'olelo continues to serve all your favorite dishes. Poke bowl has huge chunks of ahi tuna. The karage was a surprise and very tasty with a little kick to it.

    7/3/24 My husband and I came here for lunch. We shared the vegetable spring rolls. The rolls were nice and crispy but slightly doughy on the inside. The sweet and sour dipping sauce was tasty but typical. I really enjoyed the lobster roll. The lobster was buttery and not over sauced in mayo and the portions were very filling. It came with fries which were crispy and typical. My husband ordered the vegetable yakisoba noodles. They too were tasty but could have used more vegetables and less pickled ginger. We were seated near the walkway over looking the beach. There was a family playing soccer right near our seats which was slightly distracting but overall the view of the ocean was pleasant. Service was adequate, although somewhat slow but that's to be expected in Maui.

    My husband and I only shared some drinks at this bar so far but we thoroughly enjoyed the lava flow cocktail that Sean made us! It surpassed any cocktail we had in the beach. Definitely make sure to try one before you leave the island.

    Stayed at the Westin and ate at Hale Mo'olelo twice. Entry is right next to the pool - huge bar, TVs, and nice beachy (some sand) area overlooking the water. Had a nice view of the sunset. Drinks were good - Had the poke nachos which were quite good, and the chicken karaage which we both liked. Kids had kids meals which were so-so, the veggies were actually not good, I didn't even try to get them to eat them. Had live music, overall atmosphere was great, we enjoyed it and ate there twice (but no kids meal the second time). It is not cheap, but kind of what you expect for this area and the Westin.

    This is my friend Guy and me Francisco at a cool bar. You should all come here and meet Guy friendly locals.

    So happy to return to this familiar place and find Guy the bartender who talks to me and is always got a smile on his face and is in a good place. He always remembers my name and it makes this one of my favorite places on the earth/upper west side Maui . If you haven't been here, you should come check it out.

    What a disappointment. I've been in Maui 4 days now. We've eaten here 3 times. 1st night at at the bar, drinks were served well and my choices for the night were the garlic shrimp and tempura fresh caught fish of the day tacos and edamame. The garlic shrimp was mid, fish tacos were good and the edamame was surprisingly tasty. Second time we ordered in the lanai. Waygu burger was a burger, nothin special but I thought food was better when ordered at the bar. Brings me to tonight and the reason for 1 star. We wanted to stay in and order from the à la carte menu to be delivered to our room. Hadn't ate much today so at this point anything has to be good right? No wrong, ordered the fish tacos again, todays catch was not good at all. We also ordered a pizza and it was by far the worst pizza we've ever had. I would expect for a $24 pizza more than this horrible cardboard with cheese and a few pepperoni scattered on it. It's not even about the money, I expect better food options at the Westin. Ruined my night and we're only here for 7 so thanks a lot!!!

    Outdoor bar located at Westin outside near the kids pool ambiance is nice and shady in this fully renovated hotel.

    So besides the crazy swarm of knats that attacked us as soon as we walked in, Hale Mo'olelo is a very cute, trendy outdoor restaurant that can be found beach front at the Westin Hotel. Loved the modern aesthetics while still maintaining the island vibes. The food was absolutely delicious, would definitely recommend trying the wings appetizer. These wings were cooked to crispy perfection, sprinkled with a dry rub that provided just the right amount of spiciness to them. If you're looking for good service, paired with good food and a beautiful sunset view during dinner, then I would recommend Hale Mo'olelo for you!

Our waiter took our order, never brought my wife's glass of wine; then after we had waited 25 minutes without getting anything, he stopped by to ask us how things were going so far. We were baffled: "We haven't received any food or drinks yet." Another 10 minutes later, he showed up again, apologized and said the restaurant's manager had said their order-entry system had gone down and that our order would be one of the first to go in w/the tech running again. Then another 25 minutes passed, other tables got their food, and we sat empty-handed. Two of our party finally complained to multiple staff; our waiter said to calm down and that our food would be ready in another 10 minutes (seriously?); and very soon thereafter, our food finally arrived. No apologies from the restaurant, no follow-up on why the order took another half-hour after their system was allegedly running again, no sign of our appetizers or wine. We were OK w/those last details because after waiting more than an hour, we were ready to leave. Our order finally arrived more than an hour after we had placed it, and the food was fine. After the meal, I asked three employees if I could speak with the manager; each was evasive or said he's hard to reach. Finally, our waiter claimed (no idea whether this is true) that they had no more kitchen staff, the owner was cooking all the food, and the restaurant was due to close in the next few days. That was in late December 2025, so if Kitchen 5315 is still open in 2026, save yourself the misery and avoid this restaurant!

It was actually kinda busy for 9pm. Folks at the bar and a few tables. It was seat yourself though so we grabbed a spot and our waiter came within a couple minutes to greet us and bring waters. I already knew what I wanted: TROPICAL MAHI RICE BOWL: mahi filet over a bed of rice with slaw, mango salsa, poblano sauce, sour cream, cilantro & lime. The mahi was grilled and delicious!! I asked for a side of hot sauce and that completed the dish. Absolute !! The service was really great, I enjoyed Michael and his conversation. He was so interesting and definitely made the experience 5 for us. The other thing I really appreciated about Happy Fish is that they didn't bust your wallet. The prices were competitive and because of that, I'll definitely be back. I saw they have a happy hour menu too 9-11pm, I'm going to try that before I leave along with black light bingo Wednesday nights!! More fun to come and I'll def be telling all my friends and family who come to Maui to hit up Happy Fish. Amazing service, bomb food, great prices, and awesome vibe. Can't ask for anything more!!

The chicken nuggets we ordered for the kids were dry and honestly, I'd prefer Costco or McDonald's nuggets at that point--especially for $15+. My sliders were bland and also cold--no flavor at all. The only saving grace from the food side were the chicken wings--they were crispy and the sauces (especially the spicy one) were great. But--major shout-out to the bartender, Sean. He was awesome--super friendly, welcoming, and made the vibe a lot better amidst the food disappointment. He deserves 5 stars on his own.
