We came here a few times before for the drinks. The drinks are cold. The wait staff are friendly. When we come with a huge group we get seated fast and so does the drinks. A nice cold beer on a hot day is perfect. It's a bar so beautiful the ambiance is kinda dark kinda chill but for overall the service is pretty good. Listen, your first time on the island, you realize that there's not many of great late night food and bar scene combo spots. This is one of few and I'd highly recommend it. After a failed experience we went to Diamonds to watch football. The place was packed. A couple and a local had 2 extra seats and invited us to sit. The couple were rooting for the right football team so I forgave them for being Dodgers fans. The waitress came over immediately and got us set up with menus and drinks. The food was good, we had deep fried pickles and a Kalua pork quesadilla. The pickles were standard, (good) and the pork quesadilla was excellent. We started with the rum root beer float and a Mai Tai, both were great and the rum float was like a party in your mouth. After the game there was a great environment of pool and the jukebox playing. read more

It's a sports bar, and it is loud. We dropped by for a quick bite and beer, not realizing it was the USA - Canada final in hockey. Place was 70% Canadian, and they wone, so you can only imagine the fun we had!! Longboards were ice cold; burger was really great - nice portion of fries on the side. Came in for lunch and at first glance was very tempted to walk out. However, I am very glad we did not. The service was excellent. Our waitress was extremely friendly unhelpful, even though it was a bar and she was a bartender very much like a restaurant waitress. I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo, the fish and chips and the plate with pork. Everything was amazing! Some of the best fish and chips I've had ever. All of their sauces are made in house and they are fantastic. Definitely has a bit of a dive bar, kind of vibe, but don't let that run you off. read more

Diamonds is my go to spot for a drink after work or dinner. It's away from the triangle which is great, but still not a total tourist trap or ridiculously priced. There's tons of parking which is nice. The bartenders and everyone that works there seems to enjoy what they do and can keep up with the crowd. I haven't tried too many of the food options but the Fish and chips are good. My parents say they enjoy the breakfast. The last time we were there we were pleasantly surprised to find out they have dessert. The cheesecake in a jar was delish. There's tons of TV's, a juke box, a pool table and dart board too. Maybe I'm biased because I had my 21st birthday here (back when the upstairs was it's own little bar/lounge) over a decade ago, but Diamonds is my favorite bar in Kihei. read more

I don't come here often but when I do it's because guarantee if there is a game on tv that I want to watch, there are plenty of TVs spread around that I'm sure to find a seat to watch it. It can get loud and crowded so it may not be for everyone but it is a safe place. They have pool tables that are usually occupied by serious players. More recently though I've come to appreciate the food. They have a diverse menu of fried pupus, fried cheese curds is a favorite of mine. I just had a chicken wrap and it was flavorful and a good portion size. Not too much, not too little. I've also tried fish and chips and yes I would order it again. Check for specials of the day, drink and food prices are reasonable. One major plus is It's also one of the only places in Kihei serving food until 11pm. I haven't tried their Sunday jazz brunch with live music outside, but it looks like a more mellow time to go if you like try but no like go when it's loud. It has everything you would expect for a sports bar and above average food for a sports bar as well. read more

It's a sports bar, it's loud. If that's not your thing, I'd skip it. You can sit outside but you might have street noise too. There were no tables available so we were told we could sit outside. Then we sat for quite awhile before someone came out with menus and to take our drink orders. I do have to say that the staff that served us were very friendly! The food came pretty quickly. The onion rings were very bready and greasy (the nature of fried food, I know) My dad had the chicken finger basket which he said were over done-I think they were just a very crunchy version. I had the pork sliders. They were very tasty (great flavor!) but had a LOT of fat on them and you have to eat them quickly to not have the bottom buns soaked. The French fries were the fresh cut style, which aren't my favorite but to each his own. All in all, we likely won't be back but I'm sure a lot of people really love this place. We had a party of nine with a wide range of ages. When the first person in our group opened the door they first thought the restaurant was more of a bar vs grill, so we started to leave. Then one of the servers, Jason, stopped our group and ask why we were not all coming in. Jason was very welcoming and assured us we would enjoy the restaurant and food, so we stayed. McDonalds was closed so I asked to get dropped off at the bar across the street since it was the only thing lit up. I walked in and the vibes were great. Such a nice little chill spot. We swung by this spot to watch the Bears game last week, and I was really pleased by the atmosphere and experience. It felt like a spot largely populated with locals, and even though I was very drunk and rooting loudly as a biased Bears fan, nobody seemed to have an issue with it. Nice! They had one of my favorite mass produced beers on draft, the Space Dust by Elysian. 20oz of that goes hard. They also had Kona on happy hour, which we switched to after a round of Space Dust. The food was good, but really my only knock on the place. It's expansive, and the portions are small. Really quite small. Specifically the cheese curds and ahi tuna. It was good, it just didn't feel like a serving that fit the price tag, IMO. Tons of TVs in here, music isn't too loud, and servers are very attentive. The beer is cold and delicious, and the food is tasty, if not a bit overpriced. If we come back to Kihei I am sure we will return. Overall I found it to be a really enjoyable experience. Maybe the entree portions are a bit more generous. We shall see! read more

We stopped in here late on a Sunday night for dinner and were pleasantly surprised. The service staff were so welcoming and attentive, and the food was fantastic (especially for "bar" food). Well, Diamond's bar and Grill tends to advertise themselves as a restaurant, they're actually a dive bar. If you're looking for such an environment, this is the place for you. They also have an extensive menu with all your typical bar food fair. If you're looking for a sit down restaurant, I suggest you go else where. Diamonds Ice Bar and Grill was within walking distance of our condo in Kihei so of course we found ourselves there on multiple occasions. Nancy our bartender was great. She treated us tourists no differently than she did the locals. She was friendly, talkative and prompt with service. The only food we had was chips and salsa with guacamole. I can't have guac, but the other three in my group assured me it was good. Fresh chips, good guac, good salsa, cold beer, delicious cocktails, friendly Nancy, friendly locals. Nice spot. I came for drinks and appetizers with friends on a random night. The drinks and apps were all pretty affordable. We ordered various cocktails, friend mushrooms and sliders.
