I've been to this place serval times, but I had the worst experience ever in my life at this time. It actually happened a few months ago, but I'm still very upset when I think of that. There were 2 tables available when I walked in. One was against the wall, the other was in the middle of the restaurant. But they re right next to each other. They're the same size , and are both available only for 4 people. The male waiter pointed the tables direction and let me in. I was just going to enjoy the food by myself and my phone, so I chose to sit next to the wall. However, the male waiter came and asked me to sit in another table. I told him "Sorry, but I don't like having people walking pass through my table. Can I just sit here?" He said, 'No, You need to move to that table just in case we have a bigger group sit here later." I was very confused: The 2 tables are the same size. How could the potential "bigger" group fit in the table next to the wall, while they couldn't fit in the table in the middle of the restaurant? I replied,' but I really don't want to.' He then was rude, ' then I can't give you the menu.' Then I left the restaurant. read more

My wife and two kids (10 and 12) and I gave this place is shot. We ordered the Dan Dan Noodle, Hong Kong fried rice, chicken dumplings, honey sauce ribs, Chicken Sheng Jian Bao and custard bao . There was no need to take anything to go because we are is all. Quality and taste and freshness of the food was all great. Everything had four robust flavors and all dishes had their own unique tastes. We will definitely be going back. 3 of us stopped in for a quick lunch. They have an assortment of bao's including soup bao's from Shanghai. We were seated as soon as we walked in. An assortment of soft drinks was ordered, though I opted for water. The Xai Long Bao was nicely made, but I found that they stuck to the plastic sheet placed in the steamer pot, and as a result, a lot of the liquid filling did not make it to my mouth. Perhaps they will abandon the plastic for the traditional leaves that are usually used and which the dumplings don't seem to stick too very much. One of our party ordered the fried rice and pronounced it well made and satisfying. I ordered the pork belly, and noticed the flavor of 5 spice was fairly obvious, but the taste was really up to snuff. Both myself and another in our party ordered the Xai Long Bao. While the flavor was spot on, the lack of soup was noticeable and was truly missed. The place was small, but reminded me of numerous shops both in Hong Kong as well as in Shanghai, where there are huge dumpling houses. Having read the new reviews, we wanted to check this place out for an early dinner. We had the chicken dumplings, the beef noodle soup, beef chow fun and egg and chives dumplings. They were out of the XLB and all the desserts--disappointing. The food was served pretty quickly and all was tasty. Next time I think I might get the food to go. The room was very hot, the chairs uncomfortable and the water glasses were tiny. I think I might enjoy the ambiance of home more. read more

First of all, giving three stars is a mixed feeling. I think if I had the food in the restaurant, it would be way better! But with DoorDash, everything was cold; It didn't take that long from order to deliver so I was very surprised. Additionally, there was no vinegar or sauce to go with xiaolongbao and dumplings, which was a bit disappointing. Dan Dan Mian was pretty good though. I got the signature dumplings and the pork jiang bao... i think it was about 27$ before the tip which I think is a bit over priced for okay Chinese food. I personally was not that impressed. Maybe I didn't get the right things? The meat was not that flavorful. I was constantly dunking the dumplings into soy sauce to have flavor and dipped my bao in sweet chili sauce to make it edible. The meat to dough ratio wasn't good (more dough than meat). It looked really good on an Instagram video I saw on it but it's only okay... I've had better. I don't think it's authentic honestly. I think I would've been okay with it if it were cheaper but. It wasn't worth it. read more

We had a bit of everything. The flavor was really good the texture of some of them was not our favorite. House fried rice thumbs up. The staff were super attentive and provided detail of what we were ordering. I would recommend this place if you know you like bao. read more

I got soup dumplings and regular dumplings and they were so bland. All I tasted was the texture, not any flavor. First of all the food was just great. My wife and I ordered two different kinds of dumplings, the wonton soup, and the "Chinese hamburger" and all the dishes were so yummy. Delicious food, very clean restaurant, and friendly staff! It was our first time at this place and it did not disappoint. We got the dumpling combo that comes with dumpling numbers 1-4; all of them tasted really good. We also tried the Roujiamo ("Hamburgers") and the Chicken Sheng Jian Bao for the first time ever and it's like nothing we've ever had before; very tasty and unique. And yes, I understand it could be frustrating for them if there's a language barrier. But there's an unwritten rule in the customer service world: Don't be a smarty pants or send your customers to read the menu, because you work there and should be able to answer simple questions, even if you know they're in the menu. Absolutely amazing food! They are very fast in regards to service and providing tables. 10/10 in all aspects of food, service, and attitude.

Service is mediocre. We ordered takeout but then changed our mind since we saw an empty table and the restaurant wasn't crowded, we ask if we can dine in instea. The server refused. Her reasoning, there's only the two of us and the table was for 4. The restaurant was not busy. There were like 4 maybe 5 tables that were available. Finally while waiting for our take out, a couple left and she decided to give the table for two to us. The whole time we were at the restaurant nobody used those tables. I've been to this restaurant a lot of times before and had done numerous take outs. This time it was very disappointing.
