The bartender I didn't get his name but he made us a South Korea drink the presentation alone was 10/10 the spicy mussel soup was phenomenal has squid and cabbage in it too perfect heat HUGE PORTION we shared it I admire that we were treated like we were there at open yet it was the last hour before close! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I will eat here again large ambiance and very clean![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Doesn't sell liquor but nice beer selection. Can't wait to return I recommend!!!
3rd time at Hanshin Pocha. I always enjoy my food here, but I always get the same thing (see pictures). My friends who came with me (first timers) thought their food was just okay. I tried my friend's seafood noodle dish and it tasted great to me. Her comment about it was it's messy to eat because of the shell on the shrimp and mussels. The servers are always nice. I like that they have a ringer in case you need anything from the server, so they don't have to keep checking on you. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Hanshin has a bar vibe but it's honestly pretty family friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's very spacious too.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]
Definitely has been a spot I have wanted to try out since my recent Korea trip. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was such a perfect environment with plenty of Kpop bumping and great Korean bar food to enjoy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] On top of that the service was great and very inviting We got the Soy Garlic Korean fried chicken that was so delicious and a good sized portion that can be shared between three or four people easily. It's that great KFC crunch that very juicy! We got the Spicy pork with cheese that really brought me back to eating Dak Galbi in Seoul. I would recommend getting a side of noodles to mix it all together. That took the dish to a whole new level. The spice of the pork and the cheese with the noodles made it such a solid dish [[HIGHLIGHT]]Once again, this place is great for awesome Korean bar food and has a very fun environment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Also it's open late too! Came to meet up with a friend for dinner on a weekday and it wasn't very busy so we were quickly seated. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and they had a button on the table to call them over whenever you needed something. We got the grilled soy and butter squid, seafood pancake, and bugolgi hot pot. The grilled squid was our favorite part of the meal, the flavor was very umami, slight sweet, and very buttery. The texture of the squid was tender too and not chewy. The other two dishes were just okay though, the seafood wasn't really mixed into the pancake and more-so placed on top, which I think led to it being a little dry and chewy. This also made the seafood fall off as you were eating it. As for the bulgogi hot pot, the soup was just a little too sweet for our liking.

My fiancé and I came on a casual Tuesday night and we met CJ (manager) as our waiter and had the quickest service possible. The food came out delicious and hot in no time. The pork cheese and teok is our favorite combo on this earth. We were convinced to try Korea's new beer, Krush. It is similar to a Modelo or heavy coors beer. We enjoyed two beers and the manager offered one on the house! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The environment was clean and the neon lights added chill night vibes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We will be back!
I love this place, Very spicy, beware but in the best way! I've come here for the late night munchies twice now and it doesn't disappoint! There are tons of layers of flavor in the dishes you can taste the effort. I got the tteoboki and the kimchi stew. It was so amazing the perfect amount of sweetness, saltiness and ingredients added into each dish. I would not skip on the tteoboki especially, I loved it. The service was great too, we come here late and the girls were so nice and welcoming! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside of the place is very open, with a neon street ambiance. The biggest issue we had was with the pacing of service. Our main dishes came out first, and it seemed like the kitchen forgot to put in our seafood chive pancake order. We followed up when we were already nearly done eating and asked to cancel it, but they still brought it out and didn't accommodate the request. It made the meal feel a bit disorganized and rushed at the end. Overall, an average experience--fine for a casual night out, but probably wouldn't go out of my way to return.
Wowie, this place is delicious! So many restaurants around here have only one or two tasty items on the menu but every time I come here I try something new & it's delicious. I was excited to visit after seeing the positive reviews online. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior is spacious and comfortable, which made for a pleasant first impression.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was acceptable, it's more of a push-to-order style where you request what you need, which can be convenient. Unfortunately, the food was the most disappointing part of the experience. We ordered three dishes, and none of them met expectations. The dumplings were slimy, and the dough seemed undercooked. The squid was extremely chewy, and the chicken was dry and lacked seasoning. Overall, several items tasted as though they may have been previously frozen. It's possible that this was simply an off experience, but based on this visit, I don't see myself returning. read more

[[HIGHLIGHT]]We came in and the atmosphere was cute with k-pop playing[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], we tried the Galbi which came on a sizzling hot plate. it was absolutely delicious. We also tried the sticky sweet chili garlic fried chicken, and honestly it was such a standout for a place that doesn't even specialize in korean fried chicken. it was perfectly hot and crispy, with the most divine sweet and sticky spicy sauce on it. I am a Korean from Dallas Texas who just moved back to Arizona again for the second time and I have been coming here to eat, and one thing I can say is other than this place being a franchise I already know about. But this is one is definitely one of the best locations I've been too in the U.S. I come here once a week just to eat their brisket Soondubu. But I have tried other dishes here as well just as the chicken feet dish and the chicken thigh with wasabi mayo dish and couple others. Everything is spot on and similar to what I am used to eating whether it's at home cooking or places in Dallas. read more
3.5 stars. Ordered to-go via Fantuan. Everything was ready at the said pick up time. Looked like a large restaurant with colorful lights, def a karaoke atmosphere although not sure if they have KTV. Egg omelette: got the regular one without meat. I love cheese so appreciated how much cheese was in it lol. Tasty. Grilled squid: Not as good as expected. Cooked fine, wished the sauce was thicker. Maybe better to have in person than take out. Fried whole chicken: crispy and delicious. Fun to pull apart. The chicken isn't that big - probably a cornish hen? Crab egg soup: thought it would have real crab, but just crab sticks so that was a disappointment. Lots of diff veggies in the soup. Thick soup and flavorful, husband really liked it. Overall not bad, felt like the price point was a bit high for portion size but we enjoyed the food for the most part. read more
My friends took me here as they had been here a few times before. We ordered a pitcher of beer and they brought it so quickly with chilled cups As for food, we ordered the seafood noodles to share (I forget what it was called, but it's served with crispy noodles that complement the sauce). The portion size was obviously for sharing, as it was large with fair amount of seafood meat. The sauce was delicious and not too salty or overpowering. However!!! The small black peppers in this dish were incredibly hot; be careful if you can't tolerate intense spiciness because one bite of these peppers will really get ya. Overall, it was definitely a fun experience! The booths had high partitions, so our group felt private and cozy. We could ask for service at any time by pressing the button, and they would come to us within a minute! I will definitely come back! read more

It was our first time there, and we arrived early at 5 pm, being the first group in the restaurant. The place is spacious with cute decorations, and the K-pop music playing on the TVs added to the lively atmosphere. The menu had so many food options that we were eager to try them all. However, my group found the soup a bit too spicy for our liking, but the waitress kindly offered to adjust it for us. We ended up ordering a variety of dishes including grilled squid, Ojingeo Bokkeum, Sunsal Chicken, Deep-fried whole chicken, Kimchi Jeongol, Dumplings, and DIY Rice Ball. The DIY Rice Ball activity was a hit, especially with the kids. Overall, the food was delicious, and we managed to handle the spiciness well. We're already looking forward to returning at a later hour to experience the rumored cool kids' dining time, which we hear is like having dinner at a nightclub. I came here with a group of friends and really enjoyed my time here at Hanshin Pocha. The food is really good! Hanshin Pocha is a quick-casual Korean street food tavern from Koreatown L.A. We are fortunate enough to have their second location right here in Mesa. This location is very spacious and located right off the 60 freeway. I like that the menu has photos of the food. Hanshin Pocha has a variety of appetizers and shared plates. Being a cheese lover, I ordered the Pork Barbecue with Cheese and Gochujang Sauce. It made for some fun cheese pull videos. The DIY Rice Balls came as a mix and were fun to make. Army Stew was a pleasant surprise and is named after leftover U.S. Army rations from the Korean War that make up the ingredients in the soup. I'm looking forward to trying some fried chicken and rolled omelets my next visit. What made our evening more fun was that we had someone from Korea in our party that shared with us some history of Korean food. Hanshin Pocha serves up some delicious entrées and is definitely worth a stop in for some yummy Korean cuisine. read more
I hope Hanshin Pocha means damn good cuz the food here is damn good!!! Highly recommend the steamed eggs, Oden-Tang fish cake soup, and pork bbq with cheese and Gochijang sauce!! Absolute heaven!! They don't have an extensively large menu, but they made sure that the dishes that they do serve are top notch!! All the servers were very nice and sweet! They came by to check up on us multiple times, and made sure we were well taken care of. However, we had to wait around half an hour before we were able to get our take out boxes and check. I think the servers thought we were doing well and didn't come by to check up on us when we were ready for the check until we had to wave them down. They have a button that they encourage you to push when you're ready to order, and maybe we should've pushed that button when we were ready to check out as well, but we felt the sound was very obnoxious when we pushed the button, so we tried to refrain from pushing it. If you're ok with pushing the button and letting the servers know you need assistance, then go for it! I guess they have it there for a reason!! The restaurant was a good size with very comfy booth seating. Overall, very nice ambiance!! Their prices are not cheap, but they do give you large portions, and the food is just so damn good, so totally worth it!!! read more
New Korean chain restaurant in Arizona. Food was amazing; exceeded our expectations. The fried whole chicken came out hot. It was the most juiciest fried chicken I've had. Even the breast meat was so moist. Although it was served with salt/pepper, didn't need any because it was perfectly seasoned. The pan fried cartilage looked basic, but it was so flavorful and delicious. Perfect with some rice; mix it up and it's instant fried rice. The chicken feet was the star of the show. Very spicy and they weren't able to adjust the spice level; however, it was served with cold bean sprout soup. Our server suggested adding some broth along with beansprouts to lower the spiciness and it worked. The sauce was the best part and one order was big enough to share. Hanshin Posha is..... Revolutionary! I'm always looking for something different.... then I find a place like Hanshin Posha... Tucked in a unassuming area. Not super decorated by any means. I didn't really expected much.... But after a while, suddenly I knew there's hope. My order was an egg dish that boiled in a pot but tasted like no egg I've ever had. I actually appreciated the warning from my waiter. I have a feeling she knew I I was hungry... So she kindly warned.. "be careful! It's 10 eggs!" I promise I've never heard more sweeter words. I love eggs! I didn't want my cholesterol to go crazy so I only did half and left room for the best fried chicken I've ever seen, & eaten. The full chicken is fried, & comes to your table crispy, hot, super fresh. & cut right in front of your eyes by someone with double gloves.... They ain't playing around here. Straight from K-town Los Angeles, it's Hanshin Pocha! Hanshin Pocha is a California-base chain of quick-casual Korean street food taverns. Think tasty bar food! This is also the kind of place that Travis T. will karate chop your phone out of your hands, leading to a cracked screen. That man is such a menace! There was a multitude of items that our table ordered: Barbeque pork with cheese in gochujang sauce, DIY rice balls, odolppyeo (deep-fried cartilage), army stew, and some chicken with a wasabi aioli. Everything was tasty here and we washed everything down with some Chamisul Fresh. The pork with the cheese was especially delicious with its extremely bold flavor. I enjoyed how hot the cheese stayed as well. The deep-fried cartilage was more meaty than I expected as I was expecting more crunch. All in all, Hanshin Pocha is a great place. There's plenty of seating and the late-hours is pretty alluring. Come here for some good eats and drinks. read more
Great service, great food. We ordered almost everything on the menu, shared amongst 12 of us with drinks and all. After the bill split, it was only about $22/person. We were stuffed, had a great time, and our wallets were happy! Great get-together spot for a chill night out. It was a little loud with the Kpop music, and after 830pm the flashing club lights make it more of a "karaoke bar" type atmosphere, but we were there to party so it was the vibe we were going for. Might not be the best if you are a family looking to have a quiet dinner. read more

When we went it was mostly empty. I think people come here mostly at night and do karaoke and dance? The food was kind of overpriced and the kimich stew didn't have any spam... the food was alright but I'd get their whole fried chicken. Given the higher prices and larger portions, Hanshin Pocha suited late nights meals with bigger groups. The beer selection was limited but priced reasonably so I can see this being a popular drinking spot. Parking wasn't too difficult, especially with most stores being closed at dinner time. I was seated immediately by whom I presume was the manager or owner. Each table had a ringer to call over the server but we were checked upon consistently regardless. Unfortunately some of their popular items were unavailable so I'll probably come back to try the corn cheese. The chicken items took longer so I was served the egg dish first. =ORDERED= *Tomato Sauce Gyeran Mari: rolled egg stuffed with mozzarella cheese and tomato meat sauce. There was a satisfying cheese pull and the egg was fluffy. The tomato sauce had minimal beef flavor and was on the watery side. Wished the sauce was rendered longer and had more spices as most of the flavor came from only the sauce. Considering the dish had little complexity and variety in ingredients, $18 was a bit much. *Sunsal Chicken: their green onion rendition wasn't available so I ordered it with fries instead. Came with ketchup and sweet and sour sauce. The batter was plain and light which made it ideal for dipping. I was impressed by the crispness of the chicken and fries and neither felt overly greasy. Chicken was still juicy and this dish was worthwhile. Service was attentive and with their finished opening phase, I can see this being a hit restaurant. However, this wouldn't be my first spot for solo dining or date night. The portion sizes and almost $20 price tag for every dish lends itself towards larger gatherings. Personally I would want to see smaller appetizers or more shareables as options as the menu primarily consists entrees. Although the chicken was great, I hope to see more customization in terms of spice level as most of the flavors were on the sweeter end. read more

Korean Street food? I am down for it. We ordered a multitude of dishes. Our group ordered dishes from Army Stew, grilled chicken with wasabi aioli dipping sauce, melted cheese with barbecue pork, and deep-fried cartilage. We washed everything down with some Chamisul Fresh. You will be able to make your own rice balls with the DIY Rice Balls. There are plenty of room in the dining area. Lots of seats and tables. I plan on visiting this restaurant to try more of their dishes. So exciting to have this great California place out here. read more
Very spacious and smells so good when you walk in! They open late! The food was delicious, but it was on the pricier side. Absolute favorite was the Pork Barbecue with Cheese and Gochujang Sauce! It was smaller than I thought when it came out, but it was soo good! The cheese and the flavoring of the pork paired so well together! DIY Rice Balls were fun to make and eat! All the flavors come together well. Though next time I would ask for light Mayo or on the side. Crispy Pork Pancake with Vegetables (Gogi Hanpan) was good with the amount of protein, but it wasn't crispy. Crab and Egg Soup was what I was looking forward to since I love soup, but it was very peppery. The taste would have been so much better if much less pepper. Seafood Stir Fry was big and definitely sharing size. It didn't have enough noodles compare to the sauce, but they did give a good amount of seafood. Grilled Squid had good flavoring! Finally got to try this place. Hanshin Pocha in AZ yay! Came here with my friend, we wanted to try spicy pork belly with cheese, but somehow spicy chicken cartilage and DIY rice ball look really yum, so we ended up ordered them instead. Diy rice ball was huge and it was super flavorful. Def good with something spicy. And it was fun making my own rice ball. (They give you gloves) And the cartilage was good, too. At first, i thought the portion was too small, but well... actually it's not! As you won't be able to eat it a lot and i feel like it meant for eating with rice. Great food and sizable portion. Quite pricey. The facility is good for larger groups, but best to call before showing up. We ordered the... DIY rice ball Pork BBQ, cheese, and gochujang sauce Crab and egg soup M Seafood stir fry Grilled squid - Tongs ojingeo cheolpan Pancake with vegetables - gog hanpan Overall the standout for me was the Pork with cheese. DIY rice balls are a must get as well! I'd skip the pancakes as they were thick and undercooked on the inside. The soup was very flavorful, but I think it was overall spiced with way too much black pepper and overly salted. The fried noodle dish was very good, but I do wish there were more noodles. Amazing vibes, ridiculously delicious food, and late night lounging. I rolled in with some friends and fam around 1 for some late night grubbing and unwinding after a long day out and about. The ambiance is nice and dimly lit and music not overly loud. They seated us in a booth for 4 and I liked how it had walls surrounding it so our party felt a little bit more private. I didn't get a chance to get the whole fried chicken but will be back for it. Instead I got the steamed egg, Korean pancake, pork and cheese, and seafood soup. The steamed egg came out boiling, the texture was soft and fluffy and the broth was flavorful. The pancake had lots of meat and was peppery. The pork with cheese dip was very decadent and would pair well with rice or noodles of some sort. The seafood soup is also delicious on its own I think noodles or rice again would level it up. The seafood soup although very addicting, added up in spice but nothing that some beer couldn't help with. Oh yea, remember to also use the button at your table for any service. We made the mistake and forgot a couple times and went into the register to chat with someone. read more
