The woman who served us behind the counter was extremely friendly. The ambiance was casual, simple, as you would expect a place like this to be. The price, which matters a lot these days, was $12.95. A bit out of my way from work and home, but the day I decided to go was perfect. I was meeting friends at Sake Nomi which doesn't serve food so you're allowed to bring some in. I had two hours to waste so it gave me plenty of time to get up to Capitol Hill and back to Pioneer Square. Yalla is a walk up window with a bench outside to sit but I imagine most people take the food to go. I was sharing the food with five other people so the three mezze dips was the perfect option, I also added the special dip of the day that had 100% proceeds going to help those in Nepal. I also added one of the pressed Saj, the grilled Kefta a lot easier to share. One of my friends wanted the Lamb wrap so that was included in the order as well. Love how fresh the ingredients were. Each dip had distinctively different flavors and textures. Saj was included two different ways to enjoy with the mezze in its soft flatbread form and as a cracker perfect for dipping. My favorites were the Muhummara and the Nuraniye (Zuchinni Dip). I liked the tanginess of the Muhummara and the fresh lemon forward of the Nuraniye. The Kefta was delicious, I need to carry a knife for situations like this when sharing food we ended up ripping off pieces this came with Labneh. I definitely want to try a wrap next time and well their toum sauce. Service was friendly and helpful when I was explaining there was a group of us sharing the items.

The signature saj bread is cooked fresh on a hot stone and is almost like a Middle Eastern flour tortilla with the way it's super thin and satisfyingly chewy bite. The only seating options are a few large benches on the sidewalk, but there's a poster saying you're welcome to sit at the neighboring bar which opens in the late afternoon provided you purchase a drink as well. Ended up sampling 3 of their wrap options and the Zaatar Wrap was deliciously nutty and fragrant, but texturally there was so many herbs that the center ate a little dry. The Lahme Khuruf (Lamb) was my favorite by far with super juicy ground meat with some tang from the labneh, sweetness, freshness from the tomato, and texture from the pine nuts. Absolute home run on this one! The Awarma and Cheese was a close second, but personally, the flavor profile was just a little less interesting than the lamb. Tip: grab some extra napkins as the wraps can fall apart a bit at the end!

The amount of food was insane even our server said it was a lot of food! The first course alone could have been a meal. Pita bread with six different spreads just look at the picture! I expected maybe three or four. They explained everything, and I retained almost none of it. All I know is that everything tasted really good! This also came with a very generous portion of Greek salad. That was just round one. Next came the salmon and chicken kebabs, with generous chunks of protein served sizzling. They poured liquid over them at the table to make them sizzle even more, which was a neat touch. Both were very good, and the caramelized onions were great. The spreads from the first course also made excellent toppers for the salmon and chicken. By the third course, we were already getting full, but out came the leg of lamb. I had pictured us having to tackle something bone-in, so I appreciated that it arrived nicely sliced. Tender, cooked perfectly, and very little fat. It came with generous portions of small, partly mashed potatoes and some really good greens. I'm not entirely sure what the greens were, but we enjoyed them! For the fourth course, we chose a blackberry ginger sorbet that wasn't listed on the menu. I also ordered a Prosecco to enjoy with dinner. We ended up taking home three boxes because there was simply no way we could finish everything. Such an amazing Seattle Restaurant Week deal! Service was fantastic, and the pacing was nice. My friend and I stayed a little afterward to chat, and we never felt rushed, even though the restaurant was very busy. Great ambiance and a really enjoyable evening. They offer two different amounts of Turkish delight, costing up to about $16 excluding tax but can last me for a few days if I don't immediately inhale them all. I'm interested in their soup and baklava, though I'm not sure if I will give them a try since turkish delight is only on my mind when I visit lol My only negative criticism is that it tends to get busy here, which equates to a decline with an ideal customer service experience. There's either already plenty of people when I arrive or people start filling up the place after my arrival. I don't mind waiting in line BUT the lines here are very disorganized and there's no clear indication of where to order and where to purchase so I've been very p!ssed off for my last visit when I lined up to the main line (on the right) for my sweets, just for everyone else after me to get helped first because they cut in front to the other side of the counter (on the left). With a perfectly cooked cauliflower, it was divine. To drink, I ordered a glass of French white wine. The entire experience is among the best I've had in Seattle. (I come here twice a year.)
