The drinks were great and the ambiance was lovely, our party was sat at a large round table which really emphasized the family-style approach of this spot. My favourites of the night were the chicken, the cauliflower, and the dips! Unfortunately we were not informed that the kitchen was going to close about 20 minutes after we sat down. This meant that we weren't able to add more dishes, as what we had ordered wasn't enough for all of us to feel completely full. It was a solid spot with good vibes, but for the price point, I would hope that the service and communication would be more attentive.

We had an amazing server, I wish I remembered his name. It was our first time there so he walked us through the menu and gave us great recommendations. He was very patient and helpful. There were 6 of us (4 adults and two kids). He brought out the delicious complimentary pita bread with a za'atar dipping oil . Then we ordered the Family Meshawi for 2-3 people with hummus, Arnabeet (cauliflower) and stuffed grape leaves. We also ordered falafel patties, french fries and the cheese fatayir. We were curious about the spicy hummus (and the spice level) so we asked if he could bring us a little bit of the spicy seasoning on the side so we could try it and instead he brought us a small dish of the spicy hummus itself. That was so thoughtful! It turned out to be a ton of food and we had a lot leftover. The Family Meshawi is the way to go if it's your first time here and you want to sample multiple items. I'm glad we only got the one for 2-3 people, even though there was six of us. We were so stuffed and happy by the time we were done! Everything was delicious! And at the end of the our meal our server brought a sweet birthday treat of some of their baklava in a to-go box for my brother's birthday, as he knew we were full. Such great service! Needless to say, we all want to go back and try more of their menu. Highly recommend this place!

Great food at great value. Both my wife and I were full after the meal. A great place which we'll return to.

The amount of food was insane even our server said it was a lot of food! The first course alone could have been a meal. Pita bread with six different spreads just look at the picture! I expected maybe three or four. They explained everything, and I retained almost none of it. All I know is that everything tasted really good! This also came with a very generous portion of Greek salad. That was just round one. Next came the salmon and chicken kebabs, with generous chunks of protein served sizzling. They poured liquid over them at the table to make them sizzle even more, which was a neat touch. Both were very good, and the caramelized onions were great. The spreads from the first course also made excellent toppers for the salmon and chicken. By the third course, we were already getting full, but out came the leg of lamb. I had pictured us having to tackle something bone-in, so I appreciated that it arrived nicely sliced. Tender, cooked perfectly, and very little fat. It came with generous portions of small, partly mashed potatoes and some really good greens. I'm not entirely sure what the greens were, but we enjoyed them! For the fourth course, we chose a blackberry ginger sorbet that wasn't listed on the menu. I also ordered a Prosecco to enjoy with dinner. We ended up taking home three boxes because there was simply no way we could finish everything. Such an amazing Seattle Restaurant Week deal! Service was fantastic, and the pacing was nice. My friend and I stayed a little afterward to chat, and we never felt rushed, even though the restaurant was very busy. Great ambiance and a really enjoyable evening. I'll definitely be back to try their brunch!

Unfortunately, on arriving, there was a mix-up and we had to wait 20-25 mins to get our table. We were a large party (10 people) but still, it was quite a long wait. The manager offered us some free wine and apologized for making us wait. We did enjoy the rest of the night with the huge ensemble of meals and drinks Lola had to offer. Our servers were also extremely nice and polite and quite accommodating to our big dinner party. I really liked the ambience of the restaurant: dimly lit, elegant and cozy with an open kitchen towards the back side. Ordered a lot of different items amongst all of us: Mushroom Skewers (was quite tasty) Saganaki (not a big fan of this.. I didn't like the sweet and cheese together) grilled octopus (I am not a big fan of octopus, but tried what my colleague ordered, and I quite liked it) Doughnuts with mascarpone and Jam (star of the night) Coconut cream pie (also amazing) There was another dessert, I don't recall the name of it but it was peach with chocolate mascarpone (didn't like this one as much as the other two) Overall, had a great time at Lola despite the wait time hiccup, the service, food, ambience were top-notch!

My friend and I went to Homer with the haphazard plan of doing double dinner -- aka Homer for small bites + cocktails at 5 pm followed by dinner reservations elsewhere at 8:30 pm. Was this foolish? Oh yes, absolutely; but was it a delicious evening? Also yes. We were here on a Saturday night so tried to arrive a bit early to line up and lord have mercy because...there was a healthy line of ~25-30 people ahead of us at 4:45 pm. We were sweating bullets that we wouldn't make the first seating, but a few of the larger groups ahead of us gave up given the wait times and we were able to grab a table for 2! The interior is inviting, cozy, and can fit a decent amt of people without feeling too crowded. Drinks wise, we got the gt & t (green tea gin, lemongrass tonic, lime) and the snap pea margarita -- both of which were good, but not great. We really tried to restrain ourselves food wise given the 8:30 pm dinner reservations but gosh it was HARD. We got the set of 3 spreads, the summer tomatoes with black garlic, and the summer melon & caramelized halloumi. Good lord the spreads were SO good with our fave being the summer squash and cashew dip with red chili oil and sesame. The tomatoes were delicious too but the unexpected star for us was the summer melon & halloumi! Such a good play on salty, sweet, tangy -- would 100% get it again and...I don't even like melon very much LOL We didn't finish all of the above so we would have stomach space for our next spot but it was difficult to stop ourselves for sure. Given how hyper-seasonal the menu is, I am totally and absolutely ready to go back and try other items! Prices are definitely fair for quality, taste, and the exemplary service we received.

I'd recommend getting there early and explored the neighborhood while you wait. The restaurant was a bit loud so it's a little hard to chat with big group. We chose the Family Feast option, which came with 3 course of food, desserts. This option is fantastic for big group to share, as well as to try different menu items without having to choose. They brought out a lot of food for each course, and pack up whatever we didn't finish for us to take home. Since their menu changes often, it was a great experience for both first-timers and guests who have been before, to try seasonal menu items. Our first course consisted of 3 dips, grilled medjool dates, anchovies with sourdough, and unlimited pita bread. All of the dips were delicious, and the grilled medjool dates were one of my favorites of the meal. Our second course were summer tomatoes, shaved kohlrabi, and grilled little gems salad with nectarines, and dill emulsion dressing. All of them were so refreshing, and the flavors were on point. The summer tomatoes were sweet. We were already pretty full at this point. Our third course were roasted chicken with chili-fruit paste, and grilled pork with rainier cherry. The chicken was super tender, the chili-fruit paste was not spicy, just the right amount of sweet and spicy. The grilled pork was tender and sweet, it was definitely one of my favorites. Desserts were ice cream and warm cookie with sweet cream. It was absolutely tasty and a great end to the meal. Our server was very attentive and nice. We didn't feel rushed during our time dining here. Overall, the restaurant was super worth the long wait, and I love all the dishes I tried that day.

Which was part of the reason I visited a few weeks ago. I actually have been wanting to try Yalla for awhile, and just recently figured where it was located. A bit out of my way from work and home, but the day I decided to go was perfect. I was meeting friends at Sake Nomi which doesn't serve food so you're allowed to bring some in. I had two hours to waste so it gave me plenty of time to get up to Capitol Hill and back to Pioneer Square. Yalla is a walk up window with a bench outside to sit but I imagine most people take the food to go. I was sharing the food with five other people so the three mezze dips was the perfect option, I also added the special dip of the day that had 100% proceeds going to help those in Nepal. I also added one of the pressed Saj, the grilled Kefta a lot easier to share. One of my friends wanted the Lamb wrap so that was included in the order as well. Love how fresh the ingredients were. Each dip had distinctively different flavors and textures. Saj was included two different ways to enjoy with the mezze in its soft flatbread form and as a cracker perfect for dipping. My favorites were the Muhummara and the Nuraniye (Zuchinni Dip). I liked the tanginess of the Muhummara and the fresh lemon forward of the Nuraniye. The Kefta was delicious, I need to carry a knife for situations like this when sharing food we ended up ripping off pieces this came with Labneh. The signature saj bread is cooked fresh on a hot stone and is almost like a Middle Eastern flour tortilla with the way it's super thin and satisfyingly chewy bite. The only seating options are a few large benches on the sidewalk, but there's a poster saying you're welcome to sit at the neighboring bar which opens in the late afternoon provided you purchase a drink as well. Ended up sampling 3 of their wrap options and the Zaatar Wrap was deliciously nutty and fragrant, but texturally there was so many herbs that the center ate a little dry. The Lahme Khuruf (Lamb) was my favorite by far with super juicy ground meat with some tang from the labneh, sweetness, freshness from the tomato, and texture from the pine nuts. Absolute home run on this one! The Awarma and Cheese was a close second, but personally, the flavor profile was just a little less interesting than the lamb. Tip: grab some extra napkins as the wraps can fall apart a bit at the end!
