    Potato? Hard old samosa
    Alexandra H.

Ordered from DoorDash. The food came fast. Which was nice. The Tikka Masala and Palak Paneer were ok, a little bland. Naan was good. My problem is with the potato samosas and the raita I ordered. The samosas were Hard. Hard and filled with some kind of crumbly meat? Also served on top of wet old lettuce.Inedible. The raita was sour smelling, watery, grainy and and had bubbles in it.... Gross. Raita is creamy like a yogurt.... Also inedible. I will not be ordering from this place again.

The Sunday buffet delivered great service, food is DELICIOUS, and Ambience is very nice. I sat at the bar so could hear India music. I I highly recommend.

I'm always on the hunt for a good Indian food restaurant and Guru Palace did not disappoint. We sat at the bar and were able to order and get our food quickly. The butter chicken and the aloo gobi were both delicious and had a good spice level to them. The garlic naan was so so good. You could tell it was homemade. Good option for Indian food in Mesa.

Paneer Tikka Massala, rice and garlic Naan

This review is based on my Uber Eats orders. I have now ordered twice, and both times were consistently great! The food is packaged very nicely, as to avoid spills. You could even re-use the containers if you wanted to. Now let's get to the food. I ordered the Paneer Tikka Massala, with some garlic Naan for dippin. The Tikka Massala was sooooo creamy and delicious! The naan was buttery and flavorful. I very much look forward to going in person and trying out the buffet they offer.

Got Guru Palace delivered on my lunch break. The Tandoori Chicken was all I ordered and I was pretty satisfied with it. It came fast and was still piping hot. Chicken was good quality and sauce was seasoned well. Lots of vegetables that were cooked properly. Tasted pretty authentic. Would order from GP again.

    Mushroom Matar

Food guru Julia Child used to say "People who love to eat are always the best people." I would agree but I'm a dedicated eater of most things food. What better way to nurture such a passion than by trying out a new restaurant? That's what led me to Guru Palace. I sometimes pass this shopping center while driving and had always wondered how the food was. The restaurant is in the Trader Joe's/Sprouts plaza behind the Wells Fargo. There's a nice little patio for outdoor seating as well as spacious indoor seating. When I got a to go order from here I noticed they also offered a buffet which I'll have to try out sometime. I got the mushroom matar and butter chicken. It was ready at the expected time (15-20 minutes) and packaged in some plastic containers and a Styrofoam container for the rice. All were nestled in a nice custom printed paper shopping bag. There are a few spots right in front of the restaurant reserved for to go orders and you can even opt for curbside service by calling the number on the parking sign. I enjoyed all the dishes. Out of the two, I liked the butter chicken more for its bold and robust flavor. They use tandoori chicken for this dish which is a welcome addition but in our portion of curry there were some bones and cartilage they did not take out so be a little careful if you get this. The mushroom matar was filled with a plentiful amount of mushrooms and peas but didn't have as much of a defined, well rounded flavor as the chicken. The spice level on both was spot on though. At mild, it wasn't super spicy to make you drink buckets of water but there was just enough spice to let you know it was there. The rice was good as well. It was soft and fluffy.

The staff were kind, welcoming, and very helpful with recommendations on what to order. I ended up getting the Butter Chicken in both mild and medium, and both were amazing and packed with flavor. I also tried the Seekh Kebab, which was incredibly flavorful as well. Of course, I had to get the Garlic Naan to dip into the Butter Chicken -- that combination is unmatched! The kebab also came with a side of rice. As a first-timer trying Indian food, I can confidently say I'm now a fan. Definitely coming back to try more dishes!

What I Ordered: - Medium Basmati Rice ($3): I ordered as some places don't include rice, and can't go wrong with extra rice. - Plain Naan ($4.50): This was delicious and good portion for the price. - Fountain Drink 20oz ($4.49): A bit pricy for the size, but still perfect for the meal. - Butter Chicken Extra Hot! ($20.50): I'm surprised you only receive one cup size container for that price point, but it was delicious (rice in 1/2 cup container). I ordered the hottest spice level, and I do think it could use more heat. Still delicious though! Overall, I would definitely want to try again but dine in as you likely receive more for the price. Delivery is friendly, and nice through Ubereats but I feel like you pay more for less food product. Plus, I enjoy dining in to get the full aroma of a restaurant when I'm able.

I've ordered several dishes here, but the Chicken Tikka Masala (pictured) is my go-to. I usually order it at a medium spice level, but if you're sensitive to spice, I'd recommend starting at a level 2 or 3. It comes with flavorful rice, and I always add an order of the garlic naan, which is the perfect complement. The vegetable samosas are also delicious and come with two dipping sauces that pair perfectly. The two women who usually help me, whether they're answering the phone or assisting me when I pick up my order are always incredibly kind, welcoming, and friendly. Their excellent customer service makes every visit even better. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side, so there isn't a lot of indoor seating, but it's located in a shopping center with plenty of convenient parking. If you're looking for authentic, flavorful Indian food in Arizona, I highly recommend giving this place a try. I've been back multiple times, and it never disappoints.

Okay... the coconut curry wings?? OBSESSED…read more I love coconut curry in general, so having it as a wing flavor is honestly top tier for me. It's such a creative idea and actually executed WELL. The flavor is rich, warm, savory, slightly sweet, cozy, and seriously addictive without being overly heavy. You still get that classic wing satisfaction, but with a fun curry twist that stands out from the usual buffalo/lemon pepper/garlic parm lineup in the valley. The wings were flavorful, crispy, and coated in this glossy coconut curry sauce that I could honestly eat on anything Whoever came up with this flavor deserves credit because it's genuinely memorable. My one tiny critique: PLEASE give us more coconut curry sauce or make extra sauce available! I usually order later in the evening, so I haven't been able to successfully call and ask, but this flavor is so good that I always wish there was extra for dipping or extra coating. These wings deserve to be swimming in sauce Other than that? Easily my favorite wing flavor here and a reorder every time. If you love coconut curry or just want something different from traditional wing flavors, GET THESE.

We sat at a table with both booth seating and chairs. There was just a small space between our table and the one next to us. Due to the proximity, even the server bumped into our table when serving the other group. We got water shortly after we sat down, but overall service was extremely slow the entire time. It took a while for our server to stop by to take our order. Food came out hot and fresh. We each got different starters and entrees from the AZ Restaurant Week menu, so we could all try more dishes. The fried jhinga (shrimp) was good paired with a mint & cilantro chutney. My friend's starter Kutchi Dabeli had spiced peanut in it and was more spicy than we expected. The lamb keema was pretty good, and I typically don't eat lamb. For main dishes, loved the paneer - it had a lot of sauce, which paired nicely with the garlic naan. The murgir johl (bone-in chicken) had good flavor. I was not a fan of the fish curry. For dessert, the popsicle was coated in so many different spices that overpowered the ice cream. The malai ghewar had a nice crunch but tasted too oily. The spicy guava maria cocktail was smoky (from mezcal) and delicious. We had an issue with the bill - the two beers from the table next to us were added to our bill. It took a while to flag down the server, but she got it corrected. While some of the food was good, I'm not sure I would return given this experience.
