I absolutely love this place. I've tried only a couple Indian food places but Guru Palace is honestly the best. Their garlic naan and regular naan come in huge pieces which is a win! You have enough to use it with your rice and curry and still have some left over. I usually get Palak Paneer (it's sooo good) with naan and it's never failed me... Don't even want to leave 1 star. Went to eat there like we have several times. Get our food sit down. Halfway through dinner a baby cockroach ran across the table and onto the wall. The food is fresh and delicious. I have had nothing but amazing service but do want to add I typically order take out later in the evening so it's not usually busy. There was a technical issue with my payment and my order wasn't received. They made my food without any question. They are always so nice and even recognized me after several months. (Would go more often but I'm the only one that eats it in my household). Don't listen to the reviews below talking about roaches, it always appears nice and clean.. seems like a fake review anyway. Guru Palace was recommended to me by a colleague at work. Her father is Indian and she said it was his favorite Indian food outside of his home. I was encouraged to try it but was still a tiny bit skeptical because I haven't been super impressed with Indian food in Arizona (I go to two places in Scottsdale that I like but I am yet to find a place that compares to the Indian food in Dubai). I am glad we finally tried it! We met with our friends. We were 4 adults and 2 kids. They serve papadum (or papad) with some chutneys at the beginning while you browse through the menus. They don't have a buffet for dinner so we went with the closest option, the full dinner. my husband and I each ordered one. We got a tandouri dinner and a non-veg dinner. Each include an appetizer, main dishes (the non-veg dinner is similar to a thali. Food is served on a tray divided into multiple sections. Each one has a different curry), rice and a choice of plain or garlic naan, desert and tea at the end too, all for $19.99 each! That's a great deal! The tandoori dinner is similar, but the grills come on a sizzling plate, and it is served with rice and a curry on the side. The appetizer dishes are pretty sizable! The tandouri plate can be good for two! Both the tandouri dinner and non-veg had chicken and lamb options. The tandouri has multiple Javan's as well. The food was served hot and was cooked well. It had lots of flavor and tasted very good. The spice level goes from 1-10. We chose mild so didn't pick a number but our friends picked 5 which they said was not too spicy! The naan was fresh. We tried both, the garlic and the plain. Service was excellent. Place is clean, including the bathrooms. No changing table for kids though. They are open every day until 10pm. The check in coupon is expired since 2013! So don't get too excited about the discount like I did Definitely going back soon! read more

Menu is wallet friendly- it's a little dark inside the restaurant so I always order to go. Worth a try , they don't add sugar to the tikka masala gravy (many restaurants do just subjective to taste) so you get the full flavor of spices. read more

However...the AC was barely working, it felt like 85 to 90 in there, and the double entry door near our table was broken/off centered so every time a door dash person and through it would remain cracked, letting all the 120 degree air outside come right across our table. Staff seemed aware but completely uninterested in doing anything about it. All the staff there seemed like they hated their job and had zero charisma. No rice with this. The papadaum was ok - very salty tho. Usually the food is good. This time, no. I was right there while it was being prepared and it was lukewarm when I got home. I have eaten at Guru Palace over a dozen times and the food has always been excellent until my recent visit for their lunch buffet. The food was cold. Everything that was supposed to be heated was cold. I told the waiter and he said whoever set up the buffet that day didn't put enough water under the trays so the food did not heat up. I understand things happen so I asked for a 10% discount on my meal. He asked the manager and the answer was no. So I asked him if he was willing to lose a customer over a request for a $3.00 credit and the answer was yes. I even sent the restaurant owner an email detailing my awful experience. No reply. Lots of seating to getting a table was no problem. They had all the Indian beer which is nice and a bar with the basics. Don't expect fancy drinks. I'm Indian so I'm a little picky about Indian food. I have been here for the weekend lunch buffet, as well as dinner take outs. Although my first visit for the buffet hasn't been pleasant (primarily due to rude and unprofessional customer service), all of my subsequent visits have been great so far. I have tried numerous different items from the menu, including the goat masala, the wide variety of paneer dishes, and the malai kofta. The quality of the food is top notch, and always leaves me craving for more, which is a good AND and bad thing. :-) As far as recommendations go, I think their food items are priced fairly, although we could all use some more rice with their entree items. There are options to order food online through their website, or over the phone, and for some reason the prices differ depending on which method you choose. Also, the "15% off of dinner bill" coupon listed on the Yelp page is NOT accepted here, so I am not sure why it's on their page either. So I deliver food for Uber Eats and have picked up a number of deliveries from here and every time I ran inside to pick up the orders, it smelled amazing inside so, I marked it as a place I needed to try myself and here I am now. I ordered take out...have never had Indian food before so I had no idea what to get. The gal on the phone when I called was very helpful and explained a few items to me. Everything was packaged awesomely. For take out I give them a five star rating on packaging. They make it to where the beautifully colored sauces and gravies aren't going to spill in your take out bag and that is great! I deliver for a lot of different places and I know first hand that a lot of other places are not giving you spill proof containers or ensuring your items won't spill like this place is. All of the food was very fresh. Hot and looked really good. Everything was very spicy. That's definitely something to keep in mind. One of our items we ordered as absolute mild as possible and it too was spicy. We are whimps apparently...at least in the Indian food department. The grilled chicken had large portions and was very tasty. The item that was in gravy/sauce w/chicken was too spicy for me to eat . At all. Again I'm a whimp but, it tasted great. It was one of those "oh my God it's so hot I'm dying" but u end up getting a few small bites more sort of thing. The bread was great too. You've gotta give it a try. read more
