Smash burger and sweet potato fries
Mark Maureen C.

The smash burger was delicious! The baked beans were great! The ribs were not our favorite but we liked the food. The feel is very much loud bar. The service was very good. We had a good meal.

Food is always amazing and a great atmosphere. Frank behind the bar is exceptional and knows what you'd like without asking.

Dinner for 2 with beans, coleslaw, cornbread, and house fries

We finally got to try the guerilla grill! If you haven't been here and you like BBQ i would definitely give them a try. We wanted to try a little of all the meats so we ordered their meal for 2. This literally could have fed 3! My husband and I both enjoyed everything. No complaints on the meat at all. Nicely smoked and tender! For sides we had the cornbread, beans, coleslaw, and house fries. The cornbread is moist and sweet and the beans were delicious! I normally don't order beans at BBQ places but these were so good! Sweet with a touch of spice. If anything I wish they were a little more spicy. The fries were not at all greasy and although i wish they had hand cut, fresh fries, these were very good. The sauces. We liked all of them but didn't love the regular sauce. I wish they had those big bottles of sauces on the table because those little cups make you feel like you have to go light when sometimes you just want to pour it on. This is probably the only reason I didn't give them five stars. The spicy sauce mix was my favorite! Loved the food and the service was excellent. Staff all very friendly and I love the beers for the kitchen option! We will definitely be back again!

This resturant is a must go. The dinner for 2 is more than enough food. Price is reasonable. Even the coffee is good. Live music, outdoor seating. Go get some good food in the city of Keene.

Super crunchy Tater tots

Really great bbq - Was pleasantly surprised by all the menu choices. The bbq brisket was so so tender, the cornbread was a mix of cornbread and pudding texture different and yummy. Mac and cheese, chicken sandwich hush puppies were delicious as well. We sat outside in the lovely courtyard and enjoyed live music. Our waitress was very attentive. Will be back. We don't have pictures of everything we were hungry.

Beans, Mac, Cornbread, Brisket and Ribs

First time in their new location. Finally opened their first indoor restaurant, food truck is still around I think. Cozy and old lookin place but nice. Have to end from the back of the building, up the ramp. Everything is a la carte. Brisket: pretty dry but good flavor. Smokey and good dark rub. Some parts too dry to eat. Ribs: Not very meaty, not pre cut, drizzled with a bbq sauce that's tasted more like a sweet and sour sauce. Good Smokey flavor though, can't complain about the sauce flavor either, just don't put it on my food before I get it. Mac and Cheese: Very much like how I remember it being when I tried it from their food truck years ago. Fresh out of the oven its delicious so eat it quick. Ziti pasta, thick cheese sauce mixed with real cheese, great seasoning. If you let it get cold it's tough to eat. Baked Beans: Pinto beans swimming in a pool of molasses and brown sugar gravy with some bits of jalapeños. Little spice kick, mostly sweet, but drippy. Corn Bread: Saves The Day! This is some Special corn bread! Real sweet corn in the mix, warm, moist, almost more like bread pudding it's so moist. I'd return just to get some cuts of that corn bread. Banana Bar: wasn't what anyone else would call a "bar" but whatever. Some banana bread with a banana flavored fondant frosting. Not bad, not special. No sauce options that I could see. There may have been but not listed or on display.

Hot King burger description.

A lot of times in local places like this you'll get many local patrons that flood yelp with five…read morestar reviews, but they won't be warranted. There have been many times where I've tried restaurants that had a lot of stars, but the local people are just inflating the reviews. - this is not one of those places. The food here is absolutely phenomenal. The speakeasy vibe even adds to the ambience. The drinks are strong yet not too strong. This restaurant is so good that I am now planning a trip with my wife and my friends to come back up to this area to ski just so I can bring them here and have their mind blown with how great the food is here. if there was an option to give six stars, I would!

Third time I stopped in I had dinner. The bartenders and wait staff dress in 20's attire and the place has that prohibition feel to it. They make high-end cocktails but I usually stick with a gin and tonic. The menu is limited but the meal portion was generous. I had the chicken fried chicken. It was a huge piece of breaded chicken over mashed potatoes and asparagus topped with a traditional white gravy. Very tasty. We've added this establishment to our rotation when we visit Keene.

Bartender didn't impress. Not sure he was experienced. Give away was putting olives on martini containing grapefruit juice, not mention an even number of olives (bad luck). The menus were fancy and I ordered a shaved roast beef sandwich with au jus. Shaved roast beef was on par with Steak-umms. French fries were your typical bagged fries. All in all it was ok at best. Was hoping for a little more given the quality of the other restaurants in the area.

My partner had the short rib ravioli which was also excellent. We are whiskey/bourbon drinkers and the one thing that whiskey/burboun drinkers like in their old fashioned type drinks are single, large ice rocks and not the little broken ice chips that easily dilutes your drink. These are so easy to make yourself. Just buy an ice tray that makes them. The other thing whiskey/bourbon drinkers like in their drinks are the bourbon cherries and not just the plain maraschino cherries. Just two easy recommendations to elavate the experience. The staff was also very friendly.

It seems like alot of the locals come here because many people came in to order a drink and chat a minute. Their was a corn hole game going on, that I think was sponsored by the restaurant, so most of the traffic while we were there was for appetizers and drinks that were carried outside. We ordered the pickle chips (fried), for an appetizer. I was really happy that they were chips and not spears. They were done perfectly and i though the portion size was good for an appetizer. I ordered the shepherds pie. My husband decided on the chicken and chips. I thought the shepherds pie was really good. The flavor was really good, and the layers of corn, hamburger, and potato were perfectl seasoned. The portion was pretty big and I honestly thought it would be to much; but we were really hungry and it was so good that I actually ate every last bit. I even stole a couple of my husbands fries!
