Side order of Parmesan Risotto, Capesante Di Mare the Scallop entree

This restaurant has a very nice upscale look. The restaurant is basically on the main road, but tucked back a bit in a cozy spot. It is perfect for a nice date night, celebrating an occasion or if you are seeking an elevated meal experience for the night. The tables are lovely, I sat in a booth closer to the kitchen, very nice ambiance and aesthetically pleasing. The service was very good, our server was very knowledgeable and helpful when we were making our selection. We went on a Sunday night when they have the family style option, this was suggested by our server as this allowed us to try a larger selection of items. We started with fresh focaccia and butter, had an app of Olives and some NA sparkling wine which was lovely. They have a wide selection of Reds, white and NA options, as well as many nice cocktails. We had the Chicken Ragu and a Scallop Dish for our first and second plates, we shared and both were more then amazing. The chef and kitchen crew do an amazing job here, everything was flavorful and scallops were perfectly cooked! Do yourself a favor and get a side of the Risotto if it's not on a main dish, amazing! I was told the Tiramisu was also lovely. If you are visiting Keene, or a local, make yourself a reservation and spend a few hours here enjoying everything they do here.

We had an amazing time for dinner. The ambiance is stylish with good vibes all around. They have a very extensive wine list. Wine by bottle or glass. They allow you to taste the wine prior to ordering. You can do a flight. Full bar with crafty, delicious cocktails. Indoor and outdoor seating. Street parking or garage adjacent to building. The menu rotates during the year. The "first plates" are smaller or you can make them entree size. In-house homemade pastas and desserts. We had the bolognese (entree size) and beef short ribs w an added side of whipped potatoes. My husband loved his pasta. The beef rib was perfectly cooked and accompanied by a parsnip puree and kale. They have a top of the line coffee/expresso machine. We had the pumpkin cheesecake. Just wow! When you think cheesecake you may think heavy and dense. This was anything but that. The cake was so light and creamy. Fresh flavors of a light pumpkin and gingerbread crust topped with toasted maple pumpkin seeds. I think you could order anything on the menu and walk away very satisfied. They have chef tastings and do family style on Sundays. I can not wait to go back!

Back again with my sister from NYC for another delicious meal.... Start ed with a Caesar salad, very fresh, equally delicious bread croutons and not overdressed! Don't miss the bread or granita. Sister had a flight of white wines and she loved all three . For entrees we had Calamari, Scallops and Rigatoni with fresh tomato sauce and Burata. Again, each one delicious...our server Sequoia was attentive without being overbearing...Dinner wasn't rushed.... Husband now wants to return once a month... no problem here!!! Sister from NYC said it was one of the best meals she has had all year-that coming from a Foodie!!

Exceptional experience here! Everything from granita they served pre-meal to the pastas were spot on. We had the meatballs and flatbread appetizer. Could have just stopped there. Meatballs were very soft and juicy on the inside and perfect on the outside. There was a very nice herbed taste that made my wife keep commenting on them, in addition to the basil. The flatbread was just a scrumptious mix of fig, goat cheese and slightly charred pizza crust. On the menu, it said there was prosciutto, but we didn't taste or see any, but honestly imo prosciutto would have ruined it so we didn't really care! The pastas were also great. The tagliatelle, though boring looking (sauce was simply butter, salt and pepper), was mildly addictive. The pasta noodle itself was really chewy! I had the agnolotti which had a very nice, tangy & buttery sauce. The filling didn't have much taste so that would be my main complaint of the evening. Thank you!

We are whiskey/bourbon drinkers and the one thing that whiskey/burboun drinkers like in their old fashioned type drinks are single, large ice rocks and not the little broken ice chips that easily dilutes your drink. These are so easy to make yourself. Just buy an ice tray that makes them. The other thing whiskey/bourbon drinkers like in their drinks are the bourbon cherries and not just the plain maraschino cherries. Just two easy recommendations to elavate the experience. The staff was also very friendly.

We visited this winery in early June and did their tasting. They had a tent and seats set up outside. It was a nice set up and I forget who was there, but he was really nice. We tried a variety wine and actually liked a few of them. So we decided to buy a couple bottles, a Merlot and a Summit Rose. It was definitely amazing that their wines were good and nicely priced. Not to mention buying a bottle waives tasting fees. We had a great time and came back home with a couple bottles. Then, we put the bottles away on our wine rack along with 10+ other bottles. Now, we are not connoisseur of wine but we are definitely not new to wines and proper storage. We lived in San Francisco in proximity to the Napa Valley and were part of multiple winery memberships for a year or more. With that in mind, let's continue. Fast forward to early August when we decided to open the Merlot. We instantly knew something was wrong when we uncorked the wine bottle and it was fizzing at the top. We thought maybe that was what was supposed to happen although we had NEVER seen a non-sparkling red do that, so I tried a sip and instantly knew it was bad. But the bottle was perfectly fine and didn't see any cracks. So how could it be? We chalked it up to bad luck and picked out another wine we brought from San Francisco to enjoy the evening. Then, we decided we would try the Summit Rose this past Friday, so when I went to grab the bottle, I noticed a very small pool of wine underneath the mouth of the bottle. Then, I tracked it down to the Summit Rose. As you see in the photo, there's wine oozing out of the foil. And as I opened the foil to examine the cork, I saw that the top of the cork was stained and that there was a trail going from inside the bottle along the cork/bottle to the outside where it could have spilled out of. I decided to put it upside down on white paper to see if it'll spill and indeed, it did. Then, I left it out upright overnight and found some wine on the topside. Looks like some kind of pressure built up from inside for whatever reason and pushed some wine out the top. All in all, I want to reiterate that we had a GREAT experience at the winery. The outside seating (although inside looked cool but due to the current situation it was unavailable), the one staff pouring the wine and the wine themselves were all pretty good. But looks like I hit the bad luck jackpot and ended up getting 2 bad bottles.

My son's plate was accidentally thrown away because other plates were stacked on top of it. When I asked about it, the server explained what happened but did not offer to remake it, remove it from the bill, or apologize, which was disappointing. That said, it was a busy Friday during Restaurant Week, so I would consider coming back and hope the service is smoother next time.
