Love this place! I've had BBQ all over the country and this is in my top three places hands down. We recently visited Keene after moving last year and I couldn't wait to eat here. I always get the monkey business sandwich and it never disappoints. The fried okra is amazing and the hush puppies are perfectly moist. We came here for the second time since they opened, for the specific purpose of watching a World Cup semifinal. The food was fine -- we got the $50 platter, which was more than enough for the two of us plus leftovers for lunch the following day. As av viewing experience, not so much -- the screens were fine but it turned out we were the only ones present for the (excellent) game, so we were cheering alone. Came in about 1hour before closing and the kitchen was shutting down. Not to be a jerk but if you're going to be open till say 8 then the kitchen should be up and capable of serving the entire menu till closing. The food is fantastic don't get me wrong and that's why you get a five star. But come on, if your open I expect to get quality and what I want till closing time. We finally got to try the guerilla grill! If you haven't been here and you like BBQ i would definitely give them a try. We wanted to try a little of all the meats so we ordered their meal for 2. This literally could have fed 3! My husband and I both enjoyed everything. No complaints on the meat at all. Nicely smoked and tender! For sides we had the cornbread, beans, coleslaw, and house fries. The cornbread is moist and sweet and the beans were delicious! I normally don't order beans at BBQ places but these were so good! Sweet with a touch of spice. If anything I wish they were a little more spicy. The fries were not at all greasy and although i wish they had hand cut, fresh fries, these were very good. The sauces. We liked all of them but didn't love the regular sauce. I wish they had those big bottles of sauces on the table because those little cups make you feel like you have to go light when sometimes you just want to pour it on. This is probably the only reason I didn't give them five stars. The spicy sauce mix was my favorite! Loved the food and the service was excellent. Really great bbq - Was pleasantly surprised by all the menu choices. The bbq brisket was so so tender, the cornbread was a mix of cornbread and pudding texture different and yummy. Mac and cheese, chicken sandwich hush puppies were delicious as well. We sat outside in the lovely courtyard and enjoyed live music. Our waitress was very attentive. Will be back. Stopped in today for the first time. I'm giving it 3 starts for a few reasons. First of all the burger I got was delicious! I forget that name but it had peanut butter, banana and hot honey on it. Was sooo good, probably one of the best burgers in the area, it however wasn't in my opinion worth $20. The menu is a little miss leading, it said $20 for burger and a side. So I got fries as a side. Then the check came out and everything was itemized, the burger was $16 and the fries $4. Why not just have that on the menu? Because I would have just gotten the burger, I thought a side was just part of the $20 price point. Oh well. The ambiance was alright, a big reason why I give it 3 stars is because the inside was a little sad. They have weird random art of Nilla wafer cookies and bananas on the wall??? I mean you're a smoke house, have some photos of the smoker itself, let's see that smoke billowing out. Have some photos of animals (cattle, pigs, chickens). Idk the inside definitely needs help and was a little off putting. Service was quick and kind, a little pushy at the end, the server came up to me and handed me the bill while I was still eating and not even half way through with my meal. Would I go back, would I recommend to friends? I would get the food again, now knowing how the menu works, but I would get it to go since the inside is depressing. I would recommend to a friend, but everything in mind that I just said. Fix the inside of your restaurant and I bet you get more to come, fix your menu so that it's not miss leading and you'll have happier customers. I recently went here for the first time Wednesday , they were having a special of a Reuben sandwich. Let me tell you it was the best Reuben sandwich I've ever had in my life, but nothing else was overly spectacular. the curly fries were just curly fries and one of my friends got popcorn chicken that was hard . The atmosphere seemed great. This staff was awesome . If you were to go there, I would say stick with their specials or their meats! read more

First time in their new location. Finally opened their first indoor restaurant, food truck is still around I think. Cozy and old lookin place but nice. Have to end from the back of the building, up the ramp. Everything is a la carte. Brisket: pretty dry but good flavor. Smokey and good dark rub. Some parts too dry to eat. Ribs: Not very meaty, not pre cut, drizzled with a bbq sauce that's tasted more like a sweet and sour sauce. Good Smokey flavor though, can't complain about the sauce flavor either, just don't put it on my food before I get it. Mac and Cheese: Very much like how I remember it being when I tried it from their food truck years ago. Fresh out of the oven its delicious so eat it quick. Ziti pasta, thick cheese sauce mixed with real cheese, great seasoning. If you let it get cold it's tough to eat. Baked Beans: Pinto beans swimming in a pool of molasses and brown sugar gravy with some bits of jalapeños. Little spice kick, mostly sweet, but drippy. Corn Bread: Saves The Day! This is some Special corn bread! Real sweet corn in the mix, warm, moist, almost more like bread pudding it's so moist. I'd return just to get some cuts of that corn bread. Banana Bar: wasn't what anyone else would call a "bar" but whatever. Some banana bread with a banana flavored fondant frosting. Not bad, not special. No sauce options that I could see. This place has the best BBQ in all of NH hands down. I originally found them back in 22 before the had their own brick and mortar establishment and they were still working out of a brewery and a food truck. Let me tell you I checked their Facebook twice a week for a year until they got their own establishment and I was one of the first ones in the door when they opened. That's how good the food is. The Jalapeño cornbread is phenomenal. I dream about it. The BBQ meats are smoky, tender, juicy, and above all delicious. Their sandwiches/wraps are crazy, adventurous, and AMAZING. Also let me tell you not only are the staff some of the most personable people in town, but they also make a mean cocktail. I will be a patron of this awesome establishment for years to come. I do know BBQ, making, eating, reading about, smoking, etc. The synopsis is this place has some great food and you should make it a destination. The grill delivers top notch meats but, frankly, some of their sides could use some work. I'll tell you the highlights of our visit. We don't get out much, as we simply can't afford it any more, but BBQ? C'mon! We arrived around 4 pm on a Tuesday, rightly thinking that the customer base would be light. Walking in the door we were quickly and warmly greeted by a person we found out later was an owner's wife. She was lovely, but not more so than our server. The server, whose name is gone for millennia in my brain, was quick, bright and knowledgeable. We immediately ordered an appetizer sampler. I needed to taste across the menu and hubby wanted to try okra for some inexplainable reason. The smoked pork belly was a high, as were the hush puppies, though I would have appreciated butter to rub on those. I should disclose that I was weaned on East Carolina vinegar based food. one down side was I wanted a beer and I like darker beers. While our server provided samples, there were several fruity beers and I didn't recognize more than a couple local offerings. I settled on one and drank it. We ordered two proteins and two sides. I had ribs, because, well, they are ribs. The meat was lovely and I was getting full from the pre-dinner appetizer orgy. I also ordered baked beans. I did not care for them as they tasted like those beans found at potlucks that don't get eaten - all I could taste was molasses. Oddly enough, when reheated at home, the spice level had seriously amped up to the point of pitching it out. I also had Cole slaw as a token vegetable and found it predictable, but predictable coleslaw isn't totally a bad thing, right? Hubby ordered brisket and sweet potato fries. We received pulled pork and so fries. He munched on the fries as we waited for brisket. I thought it would have been lovely if the kitchen could have thrown some fries on his second tray, but maybe that's expecting too much. I'm not sure what industry practice is, so I won't hold it against them. One bone of contention was the range of sauces. I truly couldn't tell two of them apart and I would have appreciated a more vinegary sauce as an option. But I get it. West NC. Even so...... Next sore spot, they offer a NY cheesecake on the dessert list, but none of the country-lady church potluck desserts that are legendary across NC. They are typically easy to make, hold in the fridge and are stinking good. Cant go wrong. All of that said, I am eager to go back in the desert of BBQ here in NH, where people tend to think they can barbeque hot dogs. Drop in for a visit and leave full. read more

We popped in for lunch while visiting the kids in school. Great welcoming atmosphere, the staff/server was super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We appreciated the insight for a gluten free diner in our party. One of the owners passed through the dining room, checked in and gave us a bit of the great story that allowed this place to be. The menu had an option for everyone, the burgers were deeee-licious! The sauces finger licking good while dunking sides and pouring over bbq. The brisket was excellent! You'll have to ask yourself where the idea of the 'The Hot King' came from... Trust them, it really is good! We so enjoyed our meals, the 5 of us easily agreed to 'Buy a Round for the Kitchen!' Best pulled pork I have had in NH or New England ... in my top 5 from anywhere. The staff are very friendly and the restaurant is both comfortable and cozy. It is also on Keene's main street and easy to walk to. The sides (cornbread and beans) are wonderful and Mac & Cheese was good. I also like the turkey, which not many people can do right in my opinion. My only complaint is they don't do "plates/platters" -- It appears that the whole idea of "meat & 3" is just a unknown concept in New Hampshire. Once again, another delicious visit to Guerrilla Grill. Last time I came, I was beyond impressed with the hushpuppies as a North Carolina native. I told myself I would definitely get their fried okra next time since I know they can do hushpuppies right. And the okra is GREAT. It is so, so hard (darn near impossible) to find fried okra in New Hampshire. What a treat! Even the waitress chatted with me for a minute about how difficult it is for them to source it in this area. Fried okra and hushpuppies don't usually need a dipping sauce but they included a creamy and slightly spicy sauce that was delicious. I also had their classic bbq sandwich along with my hushpuppies and okra. What an AMAZING and satisfying meal. I got to eat out on their adorable brick patio which is beautiful in the summer. I love the wrought iron patio furniture, the umbrellas, and all the cannas and rose of sharon in full summer bloom. read more

Finally stopped here after a few attempts on Mondays when they are closed. I had the Nashville Hot Chicken Wings with a side of curly fries and my companion had the ribs. Wings came out with more dry rub than I have EVER seen. Caked so thick that it was almost comical. Companion ribs were, at best, okay. Waitress was very pleasant, however, she seemed more interested in a squirrel eating a pumpkin behind the restaurant than serving us. Sad when frozen curly fries are the highlight of the meal. read more

My family and I have been looking for an amazing experience in New Hampshire with all these wonderful restaurants and we finally got it! From the moment we walked into Guerrilla Grill we were welcomed with smiles and a positive atmosphere. The beer selection on tap was excellent! My husband and I loved our beers. My 3 year old son and I visited Guerilla Grill for lunch today. Right when we walked in you could tell they were swamped with a couple big groups. Obviously the kitchen was a little backed up. Within a few minutes of being seated we had a couple of different waitresses stop by our table to check in and make sure we were being taken care of (even though you could tell they were straight out). Probably 10 minutes after placing our food order our waitress brought out some complimentary corn bread to hold us over and apologized for the wait. I thanked her and assured her we weren't in any rush. The food came out soon after and it was all delicious. Top notch service in a tough spot. This site turns over frequently...no idea why...has multiple spaces to sit including a bar and outside patio. This iteration is for grilled food. Had their ribs...good, fried okra...also good, but excellent curly fries and selection of draught beers. A+ service. Great place for a group as tables can be moved. read more
