I wanted to try a few times before I reviewed. The interior is really nice and the staff is mostly very friendly although one waitress is obviously impatient under the friendly tones. Chop suey here was horrible. Tasteless and the pasta was soggy. My daughter in law tried one of their special soups with a cornish hen on top that she thought was pretty terrible. They do have a great salad bar and I've not had a bad experience with the fish n chips but most everything we have tried is bland although portions are huge. The bacon in my aunts blt was to smoky and to chewy. It's probably a great place for a drink or if you want a good salad but seems expensive (like everything right now)for what you get

Beautiful interior. Adjacent to a hotel. It would be great to come for drinks. Extensive menu. Very friendly staff. I had the French onion soup. It was pretty good but not much broth. Clam chowder was not authentic as it also had shrimp in it. It was pretty tasty though. They have a salad bar that was nice but downside was they served it with packets of Ken dressing. That's just not very classy. Chicken sub was flavorful. All in all, great place if you are staying at the hotel, otherwise, too many other options to come back here for another try.

    $30????

Just ordered $30 pick 2 plate, Door Dash, doesn't look like the picture...6 clams and 2 pieces of fish....not impressed for $30

Some how, some way the Vibe leads me to such places. Tempestas is attached to a hotel but, by far, not a hotel restaurant. They had an amazing set for specials... and like an old mentor used to say, specials are special and the way to go. I had the stuffed flounder... not usual being so far from the coast but came out epic. Service was exceptional... Did I see twins working the bar? Or one person working three times as hard? I caught a glimpse of a sub... it was huge. BBQ options... Salad bar... I can't wait to come back.

First visit to the new Jim/Eddie's which is now Tempesta's. I like the new spot and it is the same look as the last restaurant that was in the location. Guess it made it easy to make the move to a new space I wasn't very hungry so I ordered an appetizer for my dinner. The Buffalo Chicken Tenders which were good. The tenders were indeed tender !!! My husband had the Smoked Prime Rib. He asked for it Med/Rare which it was. He said it was good but not great. Cooked to his liking but tasteless. The service was very good .... We will give it one more try....

Excellent barbeque and other dishes. Service is great and fun too. Prices are more than reasonable and portions are large.

Went with another couple and everyone had a different dish. We all agreed that what we ate was just average . Will try again sometime.

We were greeted and told to sit anywhere we wanted. Ambiance: It's a smaller, fairly echoey restaurant, but it's a pizza joint... it's kind of to be expected. After a few, our waitress came and I ordered waters. For some reason our table was missing the drink menu... all others had one. It took a few minutes for our waitress to find one for us. I ordered the Galaxy Lemonade, Jennie chose the Bahama Mama. We were both very disappointed in our drinks. Minute clearly had the Blue Curaçao in it, but there wasn't even the tiniest hint of the Empress Gin... a gin with a very distinctive flavor. It was so lacking that I actually asked our waitress if it was forgotten. I think the drink should've been great, but the curaçao was overpowering the gin. There was 1oz of each liquor. I think 3/4oz BC and 1.25oz Empress might've made it better. While Jennie prefers sweeter drinks, the BM was VERY sweet-forward, lacking flavor from either rum. We are all about the "well-balanced beverage"... neither of these were. Our appetizer (5 Buffalo wings) & pizza arrived at the same time. I thought the wings were great. The heat/flavor ratio was damn-near perfect. Jennie felt they had a bit too much heat... I disagree :) Our thin-crust pizza was also great. Toppings: garlic, tomato, banana peppers, & pepperoni. I feel there should've been much more garlic on it, as it was ordered as a topping, but overall, the crust had a perfect crispness all the way under, so it could be picked up by the edge. We both enjoyed it! The food is worth picking up, but if I'm going to sit in a restaurant for food and drink, I'd like to enjoy the drink. For that reason, we probably won't be back.

On vacation in New Hampshire and Vermont, we drove up to Keene for a casual dinner our 1st night out. The margarita menu, as you might expect from the name, is extensive; there was a time when I could drink them and I loved them! But then was not now. Tonight, hubs and I shared a 16-oz Modelo Especial that they had on draught. They served the full glass with a separate chilled glass, nice. I poured about half; I was driving, and there are several roundabouts to get into and out of town; it wouldn't be too safe if I drank the whole thing myself! Lol Before you order anything, server brings a good sized bowl of warm and tasty tortilla chips with a small bowl of good spicy salsa. We ordered the guacamole appetizer, a large portion on a plate with some fresh pico de gallo. You can get added jalapeños for no charge. Hubs doesn't do 'hot,' so I asked for the jalapeño on the side and got a little dish of slices. Yum with my guac and chips, and yum with my meal! We both ordered vegetable fajitas. These came out shortly after we got the guac, really too quickly. The 2-top table wasn't big enough to accommodate all the dishes! We were still eating guac and chips; a server brought out plates for each of us with: foil-wrapped warm tortillas (we chose corn instead of flour); a small scoop of guac; a pile of shredded cheese; a small scoop of sour cream; a bed of lettuce. Then he and our waitress each came out with a huge wooden board, on top of each was a pan still sizzling! Black beans, rice, and a ton of veggies! The usual onions & peppers, plus some mushrooms, corn kernels, and greens (kale? spinach? not sure). We hadn't had enough time to savor and finish the guac so we didn't want to give it up, but the table didn't have enough room for everything! We put half the remainder on each of our side dish plates in order to get rid of 1 dish. That wouldn't have been an issue if the timing was better, but we managed. Our beer glasses and our water glasses were also on the table, plus the first basket of chips and the small dish of salsa! That said, the food tasted freshly cooked and we enjoyed as much as we could possibly eat!

I don't write many negative reviews, and I'm pretty easygoing, but this experience earned it…read more I'm in Keene for business for about a week, and I figured a margarita and some Mexican food would be a safe, consistent choice. My first visit wasn't terrible, but it was obvious the bar was understaffed. That's a management issue, not a bartender issue. I stayed patient, but it took an incredibly long time to get any attention. The food was mediocre at best, but I wasn't expecting fine dining--just a decent meal and reasonable service. I decided to give them another chance a few days later because everyone can have an off night. This time it was a Saturday. The restaurant wasn't busy, and the bar had plenty of open seats. As I sat down, the bartender's greeting was, "I have a lot to do, so get comfortable." Not exactly a welcoming first impression. I tried to be understanding, but after sitting there for about 15 minutes without anyone coming over, I noticed someone who appeared to be the manager walking around without stepping in to help. At that point I decided it was time to leave. As I got up, both the bartender and the manager made eye contact with me, and neither made the slightest effort to acknowledge the wait, apologize, or ask me to stay. Looking back, I should have read the reviews before going. There are plenty of similar complaints, followed by the same generic management responses saying they're sorry and will do better. Based on my experience, those responses feel like lip service. If the same problems keep happening, it doesn't seem like there's much interest in actually fixing them. There are too many restaurants competing for people's business to treat customers this way. I won't be back.
