Soup - A large bowl of chicken and vegetable soup with carrots, peas, corn, and potatoes, topped with a roasted chicken leg and garnished with parsley.

I wanted to try a few times before I reviewed. The interior is really nice and the staff is mostly very friendly although one waitress is obviously impatient under the friendly tones. Chop suey here was horrible. Tasteless and the pasta was soggy. My daughter in law tried one of their special soups with a cornish hen on top that she thought was pretty terrible. They do have a great salad bar and I've not had a bad experience with the fish n chips but most everything we have tried is bland although portions are huge. The bacon in my aunts blt was to smoky and to chewy. It's probably a great place for a drink or if you want a good salad but seems expensive (like everything right now)for what you get

$30???? - Fried chicken pieces are arranged in a basket lined with red and white checkered paper, with some pieces showing a crispy, golden-brown coating.

Just ordered $30 pick 2 plate, Door Dash, doesn't look like the picture...6 clams and 2 pieces of fish....not impressed for $30

Menu - A menu displaying sections for salads, soups, and appetizers, including items like Caesar salad, clam chowder, and jalapeño poppers.

Some how, some way the Vibe leads me to such places. Tempestas is attached to a hotel but, by far, not a hotel restaurant. They had an amazing set for specials... and like an old mentor used to say, specials are special and the way to go. I had the stuffed flounder... not usual being so far from the coast but came out epic. Service was exceptional... Did I see twins working the bar? Or one person working three times as hard? I caught a glimpse of a sub... it was huge. BBQ options... Salad bar... I can't wait to come back.

A bar and restaurant interior featuring a wooden floor, a bar counter with stools, and multiple television screens on the wall.

Beautiful interior. Adjacent to a hotel. It would be great to come for drinks. Extensive menu. Very friendly staff. I had the French onion soup. It was pretty good but not much broth. Clam chowder was not authentic as it also had shrimp in it. It was pretty tasty though. They have a salad bar that was nice but downside was they served it with packets of Ken dressing. That's just not very classy. Chicken sub was flavorful. All in all, great place if you are staying at the hotel, otherwise, too many other options to come back here for another try.

Prime Rib... - A large prime rib steak with grill marks rests on a white plate, with juices pooled underneath, served at a restaurant.

First visit to the new Jim/Eddie's which is now Tempesta's. I like the new spot and it is the same look as the last restaurant that was in the location. Guess it made it easy to make the move to a new space I wasn't very hungry so I ordered an appetizer for my dinner. The Buffalo Chicken Tenders which were good. The tenders were indeed tender !!! My husband had the Smoked Prime Rib. He asked for it Med/Rare which it was. He said it was good but not great. Cooked to his liking but tasteless. The service was very good .... We will give it one more try....

They are presently open for dinner 5 nights a week and weekend brunch service, 10am to 2:30pm. The place has the main bar area with seating and table seating on the left side and separate dining rooms to the right side. The bar offers 8 draft beers, wine list, cocktails, digestifs, and non-alcoholic drinks. The food menu offers a selection of appetizers, salads, burgers, steak frites, pasta dishes, risotto, seafood, chicken dishes, and desserts. The weekend brunch selections also include stuffed French toast, omelettes, benedicts (crab cake & lobster), croque madame, eggs & bacon, steak sandwich, & a dry aged burger. The prices are moderate high. I stopped by here around 1:50pm for brunch. I headed to the bar and took a seat. I was informed the kitchen was closing at 2pm, dining room/bar closes at 2:30pm and reopens at 5pm for dinner service. I promptly got my food order in, choosing regular food items also on the dinner menu. For a starter, the Steamed Mussels ($16 plus tax) had 20 steamed mussels with slices of Spanish dry cured chorizo, garlic, oven cured tomato in a savory hot broth, with 3 slices of charred soirdough bread slices to dip. For an entree, the Braised Short Rib Cavatelli ($24 plus tax) was a good portion of soft cooked cavatelli, tender lean pieces of short rib, mushrooms, truffle, creme fraiche. The sauce and flavors were similar to a stroganoff type dish, pretty good overall. I did request a box for the cavatelli to eat later. Overall, the food was pretty good and freshly prepared. The service was slightly rushed receiving my food together at the same time (I actually prefer this) and check presented before I was done, which came out to $43.40 with tax and before tip. I would stop by again for brunch so I could get the breakfast items.

One of a kind restaurant for sure. Cloth lining bacon's signature dish of David Burke. It Is very mouthwatering and activated my palate for first course. AKA droolingg while the staffs torching the bacon. Wings and Rings are very unique. The calamari rings are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside (NOT RUBBERY). Wings glazed are the mixture of sweet, savory, and tad bit of spicy. BEST mussels I've ever had. Plum and juicy in a buttery bursting flavor broth. Crispy skin salmon. I usually only eat raw salmon but I enjoy crispy salmon skin on top of ratatouille whole lot. Wild mushrooms risotto is wicked creamy and full of flavor and the crunchy of pepita (pumpkin seeds?) just elevates the dish, along with sweet eggplant for finishing touch. it is so smooth. Desserts are delicious with Flourless chocolate cake and Cinnamon roll cake with vanilla ice cream and caramel drizzle. I am so glad to have such a great french/artisan restaurant in New Hampshire. I can't forget about Eliza for great service. And theirs raspberry lemonade is so refreshing with fresh raspberry for some acidic drink. I masked the price from the receipt because it well-worth the money.

That's service! And I won't forget it. All the staff was very kind and she checked in with me several times during my meal to make sure it was going well. The ambiance is a little noisy but it's a raw bar that has sports on. The food is delicious. I could have eaten the Cippino forever! The broth was a complex delicious and perfectly spiced tomato base. The seafood was plentiful and large sized. I have never seen shrimp so big! I also ate oysters and had an amazing home made peaches and cream cheese cake. Listen I don't really like cheese cake but I could eat that cake everyday for the rest of my life. Everything from start to finish once I sat down. Was delicious and the staff was very kind. This food was fired fresh in the kitchen. I could see if from my bar seat. So if it took a little bit it was worth it! I'd eat here the next time I'm in Manchester 10/10

Staff appeared uninterested and inattentive, and we had to repeatedly ask for basic items. The food did not justify the prices at all. Overall, this restaurant is overrated and did not live up to expectations. I won't be returning and would not recommend it unless there are serious improvements in both service and food quality.

We arrived in Sunapee and were greeted with the choice of about three choices in restaurants (Lest we drive a ways). We looked at the menu and it had some good stuff on it so we decided to go at lunch there. They have a lovely deck on the water, but we wanted an indoor table today. They sat us at a nice table near a window, and as we began to sit I noticed that there was a speaker next to it. I have sensory issues and as I was debating whether or not I could stand being next to it (it was moderate volume and most could) the lady at the front (felt like an owner) noticed my consternation and offered us another table. She even pushed two tables together to make it as large as that one and was (we were set up to play a game of "Forest Shuffle" over lunch and needed the real estate). Score one for the place for being so aware of the customer and their needs. Score another for the customer extra accommodations. The waitress was delightful and attentive. Score another point. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich. My partner ordered the coconut shrimp bowl. My partner's meal was great. A perfect portion of shrimp and mango with a dollop of sticky rice. She enjoyed it. My chicken salad was very imaginative. A well thought out dill chicken salad. Large chunks of celery. Apple slices over the lot. Well spiced. Gracing this were four pieces of thick toasted bread smeared with a Parmesan/garlic cheese spread. It was delicious. The place had a great crowd even at 1:30, there were people coming in. Everyone was treated kindly and attentively. Also of note-they didn't rush us away (we would have left faster if we thought we were taking a seat from someone). I imagine that they give that kind attention to all shifts and all meals. Given this, I would recommend this place anytime, for any breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I will say-we almost didn't go in because we thought it was a little pricey when we first arrived (we're pretty frugal). Glad we fought that urge. Thank you for a lovely meal.

But I attribute this to the fact that the bartender was training somebody new (and we were sitting at the bar because there were no tables available). The fact that there were no tables available is entirely our fault, the fact that the bartender was busy training somebody new was only slightly off-putting. The ambiance, lakefront dining was incredible. But here again, only SLIGHTLY off-putting, was the fact that the sliding glass doors were not wide open on this beautiful August day. I think the breeze off the lake would've been better than the air conditioning. I'm stretching a little bit for the negatives... the positives were too numerous to mention all of them. Simply put, the food was amazing. Totally unexpected for a small town in Sunapee, New Hampshire. Our dishes, from the appetizers to the main courses were totally unexpected, in a very positive way. I wish I took more pictures. But we were busy enjoying our food. I will come back to this place in a heartbeat. Highly recommended!
