I have read the negative reviews, and I just want to assure those people that the Dinner Table is under new ownership and management. I go with my husband a couple times, if not more, during the week for breakfast. The food is consistently good and the service is exceptional. Friendly owners and staff. The restaurant also has a fresh paint job inside in very cheerful colors. The new owners have worked very hard to make improvements. First time back since new owners. First, the new "decor" looks to me like it was done by a color blind amateur. I'm no expert, but found it to be very odd choices. The food was ok, and plenty of it to get your money's worth. However, when making my food choice, I found the description of a Greek omelet to be odd, full of squash, carrots and broccoli. So I chose the farmers omelet, which had the olives and feta cheese I prefer. My husband chose the same. After cutting into our omelets we discovered we were served what the menu described as the "Greek" omelet, and I realized that the descriptions written in the printed menu were switched up. We don't like to waste food, so we ate half of our omelets and then pointed out the mistake to our waitress. She acknowledged it was a mistake on their part and took it to the cook to point it out. Hidden Gem !! Picked this restaurant at random and we were not disappointed! Had the lobster bisque ( creamy perfection) fried calamari ( perfectly cooked) and artichoke hearts that were to die for . Owners are lovely humans and you can tell they truly care about the food they are serving . Try the loaded Bloody Mary ( their bartenders own recipe ) so good !!! Went to The Dinner Table in Swanzey, NH this morning with a friend. Waited 45 minutes for our breakfast. When I asked to speak to the manager & owner, I told her "I was very disappointed in my experience after waiting so long for our meal". She then responded "well, how is your meal". "Adequate" was my response. She then came back & informed us that she "comped" our meal. And the proceeded to tell me I could have a been a little nicer. Ha! Not only did she lose me & Marion as customers, but 2 other people in the restaurant were listening & said they wouldn't come back. Decided to try breakfast here after reading the reviews. We arrived here around 7:30 or so in the morning. We were told we could sit anywhere we wanted and we sat in a booth next to the window. It was pretty cold in there but they had a pellet stove going and we warmed up after a while. Have to say this is one of the cleanest places I've been in. I didn't even see any dust on the windowsill. The whole place seemed very clean and comfortable. It is a small and cozy place but I think it would hold more people then it appears. The coffee here is amazing! We found the prices to be very reasonable also. Almost all of the breakfast meals paying with home fries and bacon or sausage. I wanted to try everything so I had the two eggs with toast bacon and home fries and ordered a pancake on the side. The food came out really fast. I hadn't even finished my first cup of coffee! Everything was really good and the portions we're perfect. They put the creamer for the coffee in sippy cups which I thought was pretty cute. The syrup for the pancakes was also in a sippy cup. The only problem with that was you had to really squeeze it to get the syrup out of it. All and all we enjoyed it quite a bit. So much so that we plan to go back probably next Monday and have breakfast again. read more

The Dinner Table Restaurant opened a few months ago in the former Campy's Country Kettle Restaurant, located adjacent to the Keene Airport (EEN) on NH 32 in Swanzey. The clientele base here are locals and pilots (a short walk from the airport). This casual family restaurant serves up homestyle cooking for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The place was redone and there are two cozy and clean dining rooms with booths and tables in a homey atmosphere. The menu offerings are very similar to before when it was Campy's which include the traditional American diner fare including egg dishes, omelets, pancakes, French toast, sausage gravy & biscuits, S.O.S. (hamburg/gravy), soups, sandwiches, and comfort dishes. Specials are posted on the board and may include prime rib, American chop suey, liver, roast beef sandwiches, baked ziti, lasagna, and desserts (cakes, pies). The coffee brewed here is Citavo. The prices are pretty reasonable, most dishes priced under $10. Also, they offer 2 eggs, homefries & toast for $0.99 on Mon-Fri (6AM-11AM). Traveling from MHT, I literally "landed" here for Saturday morning breakfast and was promptly seated in the lower dining room at a small table (13). The dining room was steady with several families already having breakfast. I was offered coffee ($1.59), which was on the strong side with a good robust flavor. For breakfast, I ordered the Western Omelet ($6.79) with homefries (no onions) and English muffins. The folded omelet was filled with onions, green peppers, mushroom slices (from a can), tomatoes, and plenty of ham and melted gooey cheese. The modest amount of homefries were fresh cut potatoes grilled & browned crisp on the outside and not greasy. The English muffins were buttered and very good with Smuckers orange marmalade. The food overall was good and the omelet was filling to eat. The service from two waitresses was prompt and attentive as the food came out quickly in under 10 minutes. I was also offered 2 additional refills of fresh brewed coffee, which I definitely needed before "takeoff" for my last leg of my trip to ALB. read more

My BF and I flew into the Keene airport. We decided we needed food and this place was within walking distance. The place wasn't crowded at at. Maybe 10 people tops. We got quick service. Our waitress, Chrystal I think she said, was very polite. We ordered a hamburger and fries. My BF can be plenty annoying if his orders not right. He received his order exactly as he requested. Our hamburgers were huge. and tasty. The food was piping hot. I got nothing to complain about here. Great place to eat!!! The owners said an outdoor dining area was in the works. My waitress Crystal was very sweet and told me how the new owners took over after remodeling in sept. 2012, now they are going to be adding a deck to the right side of the building for a great view of the Keene Airport so as you are enjoying a great meal you can also have a great view of the airplanes taking off and landing,kids of all ages love that,including me. I arrived to find it relatively quiet. The hostess quickly sat me and, knowing what I wanted, I ordered. The coffee came in a large mug with complimentary refills (which I appreciate) and the food followed relatively soon thereafter. I ordered a veggie omelette with egg beaters, no cheese, and extra veggies. The omelette was served with a meager serving of home fries (which were cooked with excessive oil) and toast. While not an offensive meal by any means, I wouldn't be in a rush to head back. (especially since it was far enough from the center of town to make it mildly inconvenient) read more
