Clam boat with sweet potato fries and small coleslaw
Dianne G.

Delicious, fresh whole clams and fries. Great prices. 12:45 pm on a weekday in September, wasn't busy.

Scallop boat and a lobster roll. Each was very good!

Great place for seafood, especially if you're traveling up and down the Interstate or just visiting like I was. Service was fine, quick food prep with a lot of options. The price was very fair considering some New England restaurants gouge their customer's for seafood. I had a scallop boat with fries and lobster roll. It was very good! They also have beer and soft drink options as well, not a bar but definitely a place to grab a cold one when you're thirsty. Plenty of seating with tables inside and out. Kudos to Pete's, I'll definitely be back!

Located in an old storefront on a sidestreet, I would have never found this place if my brother in law hadn't recommended it. A very pleasant surprise. Older place but clean, we ordered two whole-belly clamboats, they were happy to substitute cole slaw for fries, and a small order of fried scallops. All came out perfect, hot and fresh. Friendly people, delicious food, and while there is inside seating, there is nice outdoor patio where we sat since it was such a beautiful day. Highly recommend!

Pete's Seafood Restaurant | Greenfield, MA ~ $50 for all the food before tips This random seafood spot we found on our way to Vermont was such a gem! Everything we ordered was really fresh and made to order. The food was served piping hot and crispy - LOVE. I'm glad they have a daily special menu too, bringing extra value to all. But honestly, even without the daily specials, everything is super affordable and value for money! TOP TWO fav dishes: scallops and clam strips Skip: shrimp - personal preference just bc I don't like glass shrimp? What we ordered: * Clam strips ($9.25) * Scallops ($12.99) * 1/4lb Haddock ($6) * Shimp dinner ($9.25 - Wednesday special!) * Clam chowder ($5.49) * Stuffed clam ($3.50)

Bay scallops not sea. You can see how the breading didn't stick to them.

We have gone here several times. This time was very sub par. They would not stand behind the bad food. The grease in the scallops was over the top gross

You can feel your arteries slamming shut since everything is fried. The ambience is like having lunch in a 1980s nursing home dining hall.

Excellent fried seafood and other treats. I like to go there for lunch. You can even get a great hamburger there.

Good fried seafood at good prices. I had the fried shrimp and was pleased with the quality and the generous portion size.

Reviewed by Frog E. Green, Local Insect Control Specialist…read more As a longtime resident of the landscaping district immediately outside Hope & Olive, I've sampled many dining establishments in the area. Most offer mediocre lighting, poor insect traffic, and zero ambiance. Hope & Olive, however, continues to set the gold standard for frog fine dining. I arrived yesterday evening and secured a prime outdoor window-side table (vertical seating available for amphibian guests). The view was excellent, featuring lush greenery, attentive human patrons, and a climate-controlled observation deck. The appetizer selection was promising. Several small flying items passed through the area, but I decided to hold out for something more substantial. Excellent decision. Approximately midway through service, an enormous grasshopper practically launched itself onto a decorative hanging orb provided by management. I was immediately impressed by Hope & Olive's commitment to fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The entrée did put up a bit of a struggle. However, after a brief period of strategic positioning, professional stalking, and one lightning-fast procurement maneuver, I was able to enjoy the entire grasshopper. Portions are very generous. In fact, the meal was nearly as long as I am. Service was outstanding. The nearby humans appeared fascinated by my dining experience and refrained from interrupting me while I consumed an insect roughly the size of a canoe. After dinner, comfortably stuffed, I retired to the interior of the decorative orb for what can only be described as a food coma. It served as an excellent after-dinner lounge. As for the human food, judging from the smiles, laughter, and complete lack of attempts to steal my grasshopper, it appeared to be quite good as well. Pros: Farm-to-frog dining Excellent grasshopper acquisition opportunities Beautiful garden views Comfortable post-meal napping accommodations Curious but respectful human audience Cons: Grasshopper only appears once per evening Difficult to fit into your mouth, but that's a "me" problem Would hop here again. Wonderful experience and apologize for this lengthy review but needed to give credit when credit is…read moredue! Recently my wife and I drove 3.5 hours from Cape Cod to Bernardston to take my elderly sister out to dinner for her birthday. I looked for a nice restaurant where she had never been and settled in The Farm Table on Rte 5 just north of Greenfield. Our experience began as soon as we pulled into the parking lot. The grounds were magnificent and entire property was immaculately kept. Upon our arrival we were struck by the beautifully designed interior, ample spacing of the tables and area rugs on the wooden floor. The furniture was traditional New England style and the vaunted room made you feel you were dining in a historic inn. Soon our server Joe came to greet us and couldn't have been more welcoming or pleasant. He made us feel comfortable and gave us time to visit with each other without pestering us for our order. When our cocktails arrived they each came in carefully selected glasses that were reflective of the motif of the room. Soon we ordered dinner and that's when things got even better! The food was wonderful. The entrées in good time and again the presentation was purposefully planned. Stoneware China, mismatched vintage silverware and quality cloth napkins. The meatloaf/mashed/veg meals my wife and sister enjoyed were outstanding. I wanted to go in the kitchen and ask the chef for his recipe! My chicken was perfectly seasoned and prepared and the homemade rough cut mashed potatoes a perfect pairing. I think you get the point of this review! This dining experience, not such the great food, was well worth the 7 hours of driving! The space, service, presentation, value and of course the food were all outstanding. So often recently we leave a "nice" restaurants after dinner feeling ok/good about the experience. Tuesday night we felt elated. This is what dining out should be like! Bravo and we will be back!

We were a party of three that ate a combo of appetizers (good: gyoza, coconut shrimp, and crab rangoon), and sushi (decent) and udon (good). A complicated roll, their *monster*, arrived about ten minutes behind the rest of the entrees. It was fresh, served well, and tasted good. Kobe won't win prizes for art, presentation values, or other extras, but our food was good and the service was fine. Although we didn't have any, we surmise that they also sell a lot of wine, beer, and liquor. There's a large parking lot and it's handicap-accessible. Good food, reasonable prices (the area is expensive), and we found it an overall good value. Nothing bad, nothing really memorable except the hundreds of photos of parties held their. We assess that they like a crowd. Who doesn't?

My girlfriend and i also ordered some sushi which i thought would at least improve my evening, however for some reason they choose to grind up whatever fish is inside the rolls into some effed up mess that tastes like cat food. I am very disappointed but as a good restaurant patron did not say anything because i guess what i ordered is the dog shit they make here. Plz do not come here if you expect to eat a good steak or sushi.
