This was our first visit for dinner, and it was a great experience. It really checked all the boxes I can think of; the building is new, provides a warm and comfortable atmosphere, has wonderful views, a very friendly and attentive staff, the food is fantastic, and the prices very fair for the quality and quantity you get. We had the seafood casserole at $30, and I can not adequately describe just how delicious it was. It was filled with lobster, shrimp, scallops, and fish, with a buttery crumb topping, and the size of the dish was huge. We couldn't finish it and took the rest home for the next day... so I really consider it a $15 meal X 2 meals. We also saw dinners going to other tables, like fried whole bellied clams, fish and chips, burgers, and more, and they all looked equally fantastic. We will definitely be back to try them as well. Don't hesitate, GO, and try it for yourself. There is plenty of parking available, although if they are really busy, that could change quickly. After being closed for 20 years. Sweetheart Inn has reopened! The pub is in the basement and currently has 20 beers on tap. It's beautiful inside and out, with amazing views from the upper deck. Give it a try! read more

After a long day of skiing me and my husband were looking for a quaint place to eat on our way home. I am so glad we came upon the shelburne pub! They have such a variety of food to cover most palates. The food was phenomenal. My husband could not get enough of the calamari or the fried whole belly claims. The building looks newly renovated. The staff were polite and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. They had a pellet stove going to keep us warm after a long day of being out in the cold. We will definitely be back everytime we come through town! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! read more

This place is so beautiful and has so much potential, but they have now turned away 3 different groups that I belong to!! I guess they don't want groups of more than 10 or so even though they have tons of space. One of the groups was hoping to gather and do some free dancing/singing in the open space away from the diners which might have helped them draw more people in, but they turned that down too! This is so disappointing as it would be the perfect space to gather and they would be getting quite a return as we eat, drink and also tip very well!! Sad when a place can not be community-minded especially in such a small town and a region where we all know each other! read more

Unfortunately they continue to be understaffed, leading to subpar service. Server never mentioned specials and was working too many tables to provide adequate service. Food was ok at best , my chicken sandwich was somewhat rudders and served without any condiments and my wife order her burger well done but it was pink inside. Seems to be hit or miss with this restaurant. read more

Came to shelburne pub for the band this past weekend and we decided to try the pub for dinner. Over all everything was delicious. Our dinner was very tasty. The staff was very polite. Our drinks were cold like we like em and food was hot. We will certainly be back again! read more

It pains me to write this 1 star review because I wanted this place to do well. I'm local. I know the history of this place and I was so excited for this landmark location to reopen after almost two decades, now under new management. What a location! Right on the Mohawk Trail with a gorgeous view of Shelburne Falls. I've kept my eye on the renovations while waiting for a grand opening. And yet it was reopened without any publicity or signage, you really had to be "in the know" which feels like poor planning. Maybe just open the doors and see what happens. And it feels like it was opened too soon, like the place isn't ready. Really short staffed, food that isn't up to par and apparently doesn't have a full kitchen? I've visited three times over the past two months (I didn't want to leave a 1 star based on one visit here because I hoped it would step up). But three strikes. Dinner is done via grills outside. So it's basic backyard barbecue fare and, sorry, but not well executed. Brunch seems to be catered, with large tins brought in from offsite and not good...kind of a church basement breakfast sort of fare, hit or miss. My third visit involved absolutely stone cold chili and a chicken sandwich that took forever and was tough as leather. It just doesn't feel like a professional restaurant, it's sort of done halfway. I continue to search for a venue that lives up to my expectations . We tried to book a restaurant a few weeks out that could accommodate a party of 13, and most restaurants in the surrounding area of Greenfield were already booked with larger parties or do have accommodations that would hold a party that size. After making several phone calls, we landed at the Sweetheart Shelburne Falls Pub and Brewery. It was a Wednesday night, 5:45-6ish, and we had several guests, from several states joining us for the evening. We knew we were taking a HUGE gamble taking them there, having never been there ourselves. The patio was less than half full, and there was no one inside aside from the 8 people at the bar. From the moment we were seated, we could tell that they wanted to just get our order, to get our food delivered and get on with their lives. Yes, we were there to enjoy what we thought would be a great dinner, but we also looked forward to conversing with our group of friends we haven't seen in many years. We felt rushed, and the staff seemed impatient with a group our size. Two of the ladies in our group just wanted a salad and baked potato. Baked potatoes were on the menu, but they were informed that baked potatoes were unavailable. I'm not sure if there is a shortage of potatoes suitable for baking or not, but whatever. They ended up getting the quesadilla instead. Three other guests in our group each ordered an appetizer as their meal, which then left the remaining seven of us to order our entrees. Two of our guests had Reubens with fries that looked as though they were served on bread rather than being grilled. Another lady in our group ordered the special of chicken parmesan but requested that the sauce on the pasta be on the side, and no sauce on the chicken to ensure that it was not too messy. She was the last person to receive her meal because they had sauced the chicken and the pasta, and when they remade the order, they added sauce to the chicken again, so the order was made wrong twice. She consumed it after being able to scrape off most of the sauce. Another guest in our party ordered the filet, which was not even remotely close to being seared, and was a color of gray throughout. My wife had the pulled pork sandwich with fries and slaw and requested no bun due to allergy concerns. She shared with me that her pork was ice cold, and the amount of liquid that came off of the pork completely soaked her fries and made them soggy and inedible. She loved the coleslaw. I opted to order the lasagna, which is a dish I have been craving for weeks. It was served with a salad. I am sure lasagna was somewhat hot at some point, but by the time it reached the table, it was cold. I do mean somewhat as the top layer of cheese was melted, but everything in the middle was not. The salad was not served like everyone else's salad at the table in its own bowl, but rather on the plate that the lasagna was served on as well. I am not sure if my salad was made from the last remaining old lettuce that they had or if it was the heat from the lukewarm lasagna that made it wilted and unappealing Everyone else's salads looked fresh, and then there was mine. From the first person receiving their food to the last was about 20 minutes. With everyone wanting to be polite, no one would start eating until the last person received their food. Our food was already cold so it was a shame that they waited as long as they did to start eating which means that by the time they got around to eating, their food was cold also. Now comes my biggest disappointment of the night! Most of our guests had departed and as I waited for a couple that used the restroom, a fairly inebriated gentleman from the bar in an orange colored shirt proceeded to make his way over to me and a friend of mine who was with us for the evening. He thanked us for coming in and then asked what the special occasion was. He then proceeded to tell us that he was the owner and how proud he was of the way his restaurant looked. I would be more concerned with quality of the food and attentiveness of the service. Maybe drink less or not at all. Drunk owner. Poor experience. What a shame. Maybe my standards are too high? read more

Such a wonderful place close to home! Beautiful outside dining with beautiful views of Shelburne Falls. Very friendly place with Terrific staff. They started serving food on Friday with Burgers, Fries and Cole Slaw. They also had Sausage grinders with onions & peppers! Both were delicious. This place has so much potential, but our visit left us confused and dissatisfied. The place looks beautiful from the outside, but the entrance is hidden in the back of the building. When you walk in, you have to go through a hallway and walk by storage rooms filled with beer kegs and ice machines. Does not feel like an actual entrance at all. They have a beautiful 2 level patio with an awesome view, but they said they didn't serve outside and we could only brings drinks out in a plastic cup. It's like they don't want people to sit out there which makes no sense because it's probably the best thing about the place. Lastly, the food is just not good. Bland, boring, the menu feels like it's from the 1970's (prime rib and baked haddock, anyone??) Everything tasted like it had been frozen before. They don't seem interested in tapping into the local farms and breweries for resources. I worked in the restaurant industry for many years and this feels like a place that was opened by someone who has never worked in the industry before. I really hope they improve because there aren't any restaurants in the area. read more

Prime rib was raw and cold...all 3 orders. Sent two of them back and they came back exactly the same. The baked potatoes were rock hard and cold, only got 3 little pieces of asparagus and cold corn on the cob. The 2 lobster meals were ice cold, the steamers were also cold and the last meal was a $16 burger and that was horrible. The order was for a well done burger and it was still mooing and the French fries were cold too! Sent the burger back and the bottom was charred and hard and it looked like it had been put in the microwave. The food was absolutely horrible and the prices were absurd! Oh yeah, one prime rib was supposed to be king cut but it was the same size as the queen cut. The waitress busted her butt, but unfortunately she was trying to do the job of 3 people! They need a cook that knows what they're doing, more waiters/waitresses, and bus boys/girls. read more
