Fries. Ok but nothing to write home about
    Kate P.

So I've wanted to go here for awhile but we just never had the chance. Today my daughter and I decided to take a ride and have lunch. Its always busy here but tje line moved fairly quickly. You order at a window and they call out your number when the food is ready. We meant to order two clam strip dinners bit we somehow ordered two half pints of clams. We also ordered onion rings. After we received the food we went back and ordered the fries. I was slightly bummed because I really wanted to try the coleslaw. They have a nice seating area inside and they have seating outside as well. There is also a nice gift shop and restrooms. The portion size was really big and the clams cooked perfectly! The onion rings were so good! Fries were edible but not great. I wish they had hand cut fresh fries but they dont. Next time I come i think I'll try the haddock. Also right next to the food is ice cream! We ordered two thick frappe and they are THICK! We will be back!

Absolutely amazing! Beautiful location. Inside and great outdoor seating. Takes credit cards. Plenty of parking space even for large campers. We shared the fisherman's platter and had left overs. It had 2 large pieces of fish, a ton of scallops, shrimp, and clams, fries and coleslaw. Batter is light and fresh so whoever said they refry in the oil is foolish. We then had ice cream. A mini is still a ton of ice cream. Overall, we had an amazing experience and would travel back again as it was 90 minutes away but worth it.

Everyone knows Kimball's has the best ice cream around! Besides that, their seafood options are delicious. This location has the ice cream stand, grill and seafood options and country store. The portions for ice cream and seafood are huge! The lobster roll is great. There are two sizes, regular and junior. The regular is 8oz, junior 5oz. The bun is toasted and buttery and the meat has a light mayo. I got the regular size and it was so big I couldn't even see the bun! It is pricey for the regular at $34.99 but we split it between two people and that was perfect. It comes with 2 sides.

Kimball Farms in Jaffrey was a nice outing for my husband, toddler, and I. The food was decent, and the ice cream sizes were surprisingly generous - even the small felt like a pint of Ben and Jerry's! (Seriously!) We enjoyed our time will hopefully be back!

I had to go for their lobster rolls!! They offer two size lobster rolls. The regular and the junior. I got the regular lobster roll. I was complete surprised at how good the roll was. The lobster meat was fresh, they gave you a good amount of lobster and there was not much mayo on it. The bun was toasted perfectly for that nice crunch! I love how it came with fries and the watermelon! My cousins got the fried seafood platter and that was delicious too. The seafood was fried but you could still taste the delicious fish. To end the day we had homemade pumpkin ice cream, which was a die for! If you don't like seafood but are in the area of a Kimball Farm I recommend stopping for food, ice cream or just relaxing!

    Mini chocolate chip cookie dough

Pros: -Lots of outdoor seating -Good mix-in density Pro/Cons: -Sizes are HUGE. There were no sizes displayed at the window we were at so several of us got smalls and it was clearly too much--almost a pint probably! I advise getting a Mini which is about one 1/2-3/4 cup serving (probably a bit more). -- Overall, good quality ice cream (super thick) with lots of mix-ins, but I wasn't blown away by any flavor we got (Kahlua crunch, heath bar crunch, chocolate raspberry, cookie dough, mint n' cookie--a little too minty).

Mint Chocolate Chip and Raspberry Chip Ice Cream in a Kimball's Farm Cup
    Bridget M.

Really Good Ice Cream! Be Forewarned: MASSIVE SERVINGS Ordered Mint Chocolate Chip and Raspberry Chip Ice Cream in a Kimball's Farm Cup. To me: that means a small scoop of each side by side in a cup. To the staff: they incorporate a "scoop" to be a full cup so when I received my ice cream it was doubled up with a full scoop above the rim. I stood their gawking wondering how my order was misinterpreted. I then explained and asked to half my request - they were very understanding and quickly made adjustments. So grateful.

If this is a small coffee icecream cone just picture a large..

I really wanted fish but being from the Boston area I hesitate to order when I'm away especially if I'm not right on the ocean. Anyhow I decided to give this place a try. I ordered the haddock sandwich and the mussels appetizer to go back to the hotel. I can't think of one thing that didn't impress me. First the sandwich, HUGE, fresh, nicely fried piece of haddock packaged beautifully on a bed of lettuce with a nice wedge of lemon; brioche bun lightly toasted and buttered bagged separately; tarter sauce and coleslaw (loved the coleslaw!) on the side. This came with a side ( I chose sweet potato fries). The mussels appetizer, delicious, fresh and enough for a meal for my daughter and I! The broth was so good we could drink it out of the bowl, but we were lucky enough to have a nice bag of toasted bread served with them to sop it up with. All this for under $40! I also have to mention the waitstaff was super attentive and helpful even though it was Friday night and there was a lot going on. That kind of professionalism did not go unnoticed. I am looking forward to experiencing the full dining experience and will definitely be back!

I was heart broken but it was my own undoing as I djdnt make a reservation. Just as I was opening yelp to find another place to try she came and got me from outside as a spot opened up! That's service! And I won't forget it. All the staff was very kind and she checked in with me several times during my meal to make sure it was going well. The ambiance is a little noisy but it's a raw bar that has sports on. The food is delicious. I could have eaten the Cippino forever! The broth was a complex delicious and perfectly spiced tomato base. The seafood was plentiful and large sized. I have never seen shrimp so big! I also ate oysters and had an amazing home made peaches and cream cheese cake. Listen I don't really like cheese cake but I could eat that cake everyday for the rest of my life. Everything from start to finish once I sat down. Was delicious and the staff was very kind. This food was fired fresh in the kitchen. I could see if from my bar seat. So if it took a little bit it was worth it! I'd eat here the next time I'm in Manchester 10/10

This place has been a Wilmington staple since 1997, and you can tell they've spent the last nearly 30 years perfecting the craft. The atmosphere is incredible. While the original 1850s building was lost to a fire in 2010, the current space is a beautiful, faithful replica that feels historic and cozy. It's the perfect spot for a post-ski dinner or a summer night out. Here's the breakdown of what you need to order: The Chowder: This is proper New England clam chowder. It's thick, rich, and loaded with clams--not just a bowl of potatoes and heavy cream. It's the ultimate comfort food. Steamers: You have to start with the steamers. They are clean, sweet, and served the traditional way with a side of broth and drawn butter. It's a messy, delicious classic that they do perfectly here. Whole Belly Clams: These are the gold standard. They're lightly breaded, perfectly fried, and have that sweet, briny pop you usually only find at a roadside shack on the Maine coast. If you're a fan of "the bellies," don't skip these. The Lobster: I went for the steamed lobster, and it was impeccable. Succulent chunks of fresh meat and just the right amount of butter. It tasted like it was caught that morning. It's rare to find a spot that balances a "fancy night out" feel with such unpretentious, high-quality food. Whether you're a local or just passing through for the foliage, make sure you stop here.

The sign says Fish Market & Chowder Company, but what you walk into is 95% restaurant, 5% "technicality fish market," and that last 5% is doing the kind of work that would make a union rep cry. Let's be clear: The Angler is no longer selling fresh seafood. Not in any meaningful, market‑based, "take this home and cook it" way. What they are selling is the idea of a fish market -- the ghost of one -- while running a packed dining room full of people slurping oysters like it's a Cape Cod tourist trap in July. And speaking of tourist traps: They've got a tour bus parked outside. A tour bus. For a "local fish market." That's like seeing a stretch limo outside a Dollar Tree -- you immediately know something is off. As a chef, my time is valuable. As a food reviewer with an actual show, my time is documented. And nothing ticks me off faster than false advertising dressed up as nostalgia. If you've abandoned the fresh fish counter because the restaurant side makes more money? Fine. But update your signage. Update your branding. Stop wasting people's gas and goodwill. I walked in looking for fresh haddock. What I got was wall‑to‑wall oyster eaters and not a single square foot dedicated to what the sign promised. You can get oysters anywhere. You cannot get a proper local fish counter everywhere -- and certainly not in a space this cramped. If ownership wants to reach out and explain the pivot, I'm open to it. I'll even give them a redemption arc on one of my platforms. But right now? This new direction is the wrong fit for the location, the footprint, and the legacy they're trading on. Call me when you're ready to rebuild. I'll help. But today? Today was a misstep -- and an avoidable one.
