Yes, it's an inn so small and a bit older, but that just adds to the cozy charm and makes it a perfect northern getaway. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the heated bathroom floor, towel warmer, and shower jets were such a nice touch. We were even welcomed with warm cookies waiting in the room. Breakfast is included and made fresh. You choose your options ahead of time, which was great. The TV in the room is small, but it fits the cozy vibe. There are plenty of books and games in the lobby and extra room for entertainment. One small note, I'd recommend staying in an upstairs room, as some of the floorboards creak and I imagine the sound carries to rooms below. Since we were only there for a short time, we mainly interacted with Peter at the bar and he was fantastic. He even added something to my drink to make it sweeter. I would absolutely stay here again on my next Okemo trip and would love to try dinner next time too.

They offered us a seat at the bar while they prepared out table and I had an amazing smoked old fashioned. We were seated shortly and from there on, the evening just kept exceeding expectations. Our waiter was really exceptional. I can't recall his name but he made the night extra special. We started with spicy tuna bites where we great and a perfect size for an appetizer. I had the surf and turf special which was really great. I sampled some of my husband's NY Strip and it was also very nice. We tried to save room for dessert and I had an exceptional peanut butter bar. That was awesome. My better half had a pistachio brulee cheesecake. It had a good flavor but I thought the texture was too soft, but to be honest is was good. It just didn't meet the same level as everything else. The atmosphere the whole night was wonderful. The place as low ceilings and there were a lot of tables so I thought it might be too loud but it was perfect. The hospitality oozed warmth, every person I interacted with was lovely and we left with big smiles on our faces. Saw your time there. I would say about 20 minutes 25 minutes. If you do a lot of talking usually I always get two eggs over easy they're bacon and hashbrowns and their coffee coffee really good. We also do special drinks like chai tea, and other things. That's really good too.

On this visit, we stayed in the main house in a simply-appointed room with wooded views on the second floor, a flight of steps up from the bright lobby, sitting rooms, lounge, ample restaurant, expansive open deck, and small screened-in porch. We arrived late in the evening on this country lane, and we found the peaceful haven that we love, as the friendly owners took time to welcome us while they were busily putting finishing touches on lovely preparations for one of their always sold-out holiday dining events. On this holiday, breakfast for guests was continental, with freshly made muffins and pastries. Other mornings, there was a short menu of tasty made-to-order breakfasts. They have a nice technique for thin perfectly-crispy bacon :-) In between peaceful strolls along the inn's wooded pathways down towards the lake, we drove the few minutes to the eclectic shops and cafes of Peterborough, enjoyed a performance by an excellent musician along with well-crafted beers at a nearby brewery, and even took in our relatives' favorite friendly local bar, with chili dogs on grilled buns, and free picklebacks with our Jameson shots! We met a number of the inn's staff and managers during our stay, and each one was welcoming, while always actively attending to all the needs of the inn and their guests. We love this lovingly-created refreshingly-peaceful country inn.
