The Bengal is the prince of breakfast sandwiches. - A breakfast sandwich with tomato, onion, and avocado on a bagel, served on white parchment paper, with a coffee in a to-go cup and ceramic cat figurines on a tiled table.

A favorite local haunt tucked into a nook of the downtown bookstore, Aesop's tables boasts excellent food and coffee served up by friendly staff. Great place to meet a friend or two and chat, or just get to meet the local population. Have a Bengal, it's my favorite breakfast sandwich in town!

Food was good. Coffee was delicious. No public restrooms. Book store is cool and smelled like food. Not sure I would be able to handle that all the time but the city around and the seating area outside was super cute.

Uncool Aesop's Table. We drove to you to get apple cider donuts and chai latte. We were excited. My chai latte was lukewarm at best, faintly flavored... and when we opened our. Age of donuts we were greeted with this. So, who gets the overcooked brick and who gets the donut as it should be? The brick of a donut should never have been sold. I'm so disappointed. I gave two stars because I've liked this place a lot in the past.

This lovely little place is GF friendly. Provides multiple milk options. Our latte and London fog were made with lots and lots of latte love (insert English accent here)

Tucked away inside the bookstore is a cafe where you can enjoy sandwiches, pastries and beverages. Tried the ice coffee made with frozen coffee cubes. My coffee tasted great, wife tried the gluten free oatmeal cookie, she liked it. They also have outdoor seating available.

Nice little place, Aesop's Tables...quaint. Indeed, the menu was, as other reviewers have said, "farm-fresh" and it seemed to be quite original. I think that, considering that Peterborough is a hop, skip and a jump away from being "middle-of-no where", my expectations belied Aesop's Tables delivery. Where I'd imagined getting simple, small town, book store fare, I'd gotten forward-thinking (i.e. "hipster") fare. It was a bit more exotic than I'd wanted, but it was pretty quality food when all was said and done. The staff was attentive, and if it wasn't for their hospitality I would have either left early or written a less generous review. When I come to this area again I would really enjoy coming to this cafe for some small-town charm and a creative menu.

Loved this little Bookstore cafe. Delicious foods, coffee and a homey kind of ambiance. Definitely will go again when in the area.

Asked for an iced mocha literally the worst tasting coffee drink I've ever had...very little ice or flavor!

Nicest coffee/cafe spot in Peterborough, and I visit every time I pass through! It helps to be surrounded by BOOKS!

Got a latte and was offered coffee ice cubes instead of ice so it wouldn't water it down.

We the Cheese Omelette with baked beans & toast and the Blueberry Pancakes (sold per pancake) with real Maple Syrup (extra $4 for the small take home jug). My husband enjoyed his omelette & beans very much and I had the best Blueberry pancakes in NH. They were loaded with delicious blueberries and the maple syrup really enhanced the flavor. While we were eating, the chef announced that she just took Cinnamon Buns out of the oven and asked if we were interested. We ordered two to go and when we got home, we snacked on them; excellent rolls with just the right amount of sugar glaze. If we ever visit the Monadnock area again, we will certainly visit the Monadnock Country Cafe.
