The grounds were magnificent and entire property was immaculately kept. The furniture was traditional New England style and the vaunted room made you feel you were dining in a historic inn. Soon our server Joe came to greet us and couldn't have been more welcoming or pleasant. He made us feel comfortable and gave us time to visit with each other without pestering us for our order. When our cocktails arrived they each came in carefully selected glasses that were reflective of the motif of the room. Soon we ordered dinner and that's when things got even better! The food was wonderful. The entrées in good time and again the presentation was purposefully planned. Stoneware China, mismatched vintage silverware and quality cloth napkins. The server was very nice about the issue and offered to have the dish remade without the bacon, but I opted instead to get the Pesto Shrimp Alfredo pasta; the kitchen managed to get the new dish out promptly. While the shrimp in the dish were good, I found the sauce to be a bit one note and overly heavy; it really seemed to lack the herbal taste I expected from a pesto dish. While not a bad dish I would not order this again. My friend did enjoy the bulgogi flavored chicken. It seemed most of the guests were enjoying their meal, unfortunately I just seemed to have some bad luck with my meal selections.
