Is it slow at peak times, yes. It's something you have to accept. Almost everything here is made from scratch at the time of order which is extremely rare these days. The staff is friendly, the menu offers something for everyone and the items on said menu are very creative. It's a simple place, plenty of tables and convenient. Reading some of the other reviews from people who did not have our experience. I agree the food was very good, once we got it, but the excessive wait paled that. I also realize that everything is made from scratch. But I don't know of any establishment that makes grilled cheese sandwiches ahead of time. Those are always made upon ordering, and it doesn't take over 45 minutes. This place can't handle live customers. They may be good with take-out, but every restauranteer knows the cardinal rule: you take care of the live customers first. read more

Amazing food! Our first time trying this restaurant and it's some place you need to try if you haven't already done so. Ordered delivery last night and the food was delicious. The menu is expansive and I am looking forward to sampling more items. The Jalapeño Poppers are an absolute must!! Huge breaded jalapeno peppers stuffed with cream cheese. Definitely homemade! Over the years the owner has moved around Rindge. Memories don't serve me much but the food during our last visit certainly did. We stopped in on a Monday night for dinner and found a dead restaurant with few cars around. But the owner was kind, patient, and helpful. He explained what he couldn't and could do for us depending on food availability and prices. Needless to say, with a name of sandwich master; there was a massive selection. We got the pilgrim sandwich, a double cheeseburger with onions and mushrooms, and a variety of sides. We can't really say that anything about the food was bad. The flavor, portions, and quality was great. Everything was made on demand and the meats were plentiful. Great presentation and it came out in a relatively quick timeframe. Food comes in paperboard to go containers. This makes taking home the unfinished food breeze. Great job by an owner who has made the area his home for many years. read more

But take your time. Apparently the menu has expanded since back in the day per my boyfriend. We both got the sandwich in the grilled cheese situation, what they're known for. We got buffalo chicken and the spicy chicken. Both are different, obvi. I'd don't anticipate the spicy chicken to be super spicy. Habanero sauce plus jalapeños?! Dang. I actually love spicy food but man this was HAWT perfectly grilled and filling. We spent $25+ for two of the sandwiches with fries. It takes 20 minutes to cook, so hang out and chill. This spot is really great - consistently huge sandwiches that are huge on flavor as well. Such a crazy amount of diversity in their selection. I mean, The Godfather is ricotta pasta bake, homemade meatballs, Italian sausage, season shaved steak, grilled onions and green peppers, mozzarella cheese and marinara sauce. Insanity. We got some fried mac n cheese balls to share and ended up getting half fried ravioli as they were running out. Both were excellent - the fried ravioli were perfectly done and better than most of what I used to get in St Louis. The sandwiches are a triumph - it's almost impossible to pick. We got a few to share, including the Godfather (amazing), the Nacho Chicken (great but a big spicy for me), and the BBQ Ranch Steak Club (amazing but messy). Food was pretty good, but not great. Covid takeout only, so probably better before covid. Out of some items and forgot one item which we missed before we already on road. Wife had Granny Smith bbq chix sub. Enjoyed it other than the bbq sauce making fries soggy. I had a single sunrise burger with added grilled onions. The bacon cheeseburger part was very good. The over-hard egg was supposed to be over easy and hash brown added nothing to burger. nacho basket was ok, the banana peppers added a different flavor to a otherwise pedestrian appetizer. read more

The food here is glorious; the cleanliness and staff training could use much polish. The counter clerk paused right in the middle of taking our order to count the entire contents of the register, which was beyond bizarre. I had the Godfather sub, and my wife had the small Dumpster. They both were an absolute mess to eat, but so, so tasty. The idea of putting pasta inside a sub struck us both as novel, but it was a winning combination. Not sure if their sandwiches are worth it. Drove there from Nashua, decided to go to Emma's instead. EMMA's was great. The food might get be great if you don't mind waiting over an hour for a sandwich. The first time I went I waited an hour. When I asked when my food would be ready I was told there were several people ahead of me. So I said never mind and left since I already waited an hour. Was passing through and we were just looking for something quick, but not fast food. This place seemed to have a good rating, so we popped in. There were a group of 4 just finishing their order, so we ordered after them. We ordered 2 sandwiches, large fry and 2 bottled sodas. There were 5 to 6 people working behind the counter. Any other sandwich place, it might take 20 minutes, maybe 25 minutes. We waited over 45 minutes. There was actually one person doing anything. The other 4 to 5 people were standing around. Got the sandwiches and fries. Got to the car, opened one of the sandwiches, it was wrong. They had to redo it, another 25 minutes. After visiting a customer this morning I asked for a suggestion for lunch on my way home. She suggested Sandwich Master and I'm grateful she did. Not only do they have the usual subs and sandwiches but they have a whole line of creative sandwiches as house specialties. Comments under their breath about your order, rudely staring at you for no reason, not paying attention to new customers that walk in.. They need to get their acts together. The owner eats right in the middle of the restaurant which isn't a good look. Eat in the back dude, and save the dinning room seating for your customers! Also address people that come in! We ate here this past Monday. Ordered, no problems, picked up, everything was on time. Then we had to make a quick stop to do some grocery shopping, before eating our meal. Discovered that we were missing a sandwich (the best, most delicious one, per previous experience). It was now 10 minutes until closing time. We rushed over and got the staffs' attention. Not only did they make us a brand new, beautiful sandwich, but they did so in less than 10 minutes. It was wonderful! We felt so bad for showing up late, and have now learned to check the bag before leaving the restaurant, but they were equally apologetic and happy to fix the error.
