Small portions of sides. Missing from this photo were the fried cheese curds that were good.

Over the years the owner has moved around Rindge. Memories don't serve me much but the food during our last visit certainly did. We stopped in on a Monday night for dinner and found a dead restaurant with few cars around. But the owner was kind, patient, and helpful. He explained what he couldn't and could do for us depending on food availability and prices. Needless to say, with a name of sandwich master; there was a massive selection. We got the pilgrim sandwich, a double cheeseburger with onions and mushrooms, and a variety of sides. We can't really say that anything about the food was bad. The flavor, portions, and quality was great. Everything was made on demand and the meats were plentiful. Great presentation and it came out in a relatively quick timeframe. Food comes in paperboard to go containers. This makes taking home the unfinished food breeze. Great job by an owner who has made the area his home for many years.

This was recommended to us to go. We are not from the area. But now wish we were. Little skeptical going up as it didn't seem open and location a little weird. The menu was huge. We had a lot of reading to decide what to have. Interesting sandwich choices. Great portions, good prices, great people working there. I was surprised to see that it appeared to be slow. There wasn't anyone there. 2p on a Saturday. When we are around we'll go again

Landfill sandwich. AWESOME

Awesome sandwiches with great taste. Always leftovers. They are huge. Try the Sandwiches Gone Mad menu. You will not be disappointed.

I MEAN HOLY MOLY GRILLED CHEESE CRAZIES My boyfriend talks about this all the time and after our hike, we got to enjoy this place. First off, the menu can be a little overwhelming. But take your time. Apparently the menu has expanded since back in the day per my boyfriend. We both got the sandwich in the grilled cheese situation, what they're known for. We got buffalo chicken and the spicy chicken. Both are different, obvi. I'd don't anticipate the spicy chicken to be super spicy. Habanero sauce plus jalapeños?! Dang. I actually love spicy food but man this was HAWT perfectly grilled and filling. We spent $25+ for two of the sandwiches with fries. It takes 20 minutes to cook, so hang out and chill. I will come back for this, when I'm back in town!

Sandwich was killer! Truly "have the best stuff between the bread." Great costumer service as well. Highly recommend.

The best Rueben evah!

This was recommended by a local, as the place for a "killer" sandwich. They weren't kidding! The tastiest Reuben I've ever had. Perfect balance of ingredients with house made corned beef. Very clean restaurant with very warm welcome. If we lived in town we would probably buy stock in the place!

Is this really a weekend-only restaurant? All over the windows signs ask for help wanted, same on their website, week after week "help wanted." Maybe Earl's family shows up on weekends to help? It looks closed and dark during the week?

We are open everyday except for Wednesday. The windows are tinted.

Hiraeth Place - Caprese grilled cheese

I hadn't expected to find an excellent take-out kitchen in the Irving gas station in Rindge, but…read moreit is there. Hiraeth Place is a modest-looking small kitchen with an impressively large menu of sandwiches, salads, wraps, soups, etc., and desserts including brownies and cheesecake. On my first visit I got the "Naked Gun" turkey sandwich-- on fresh bread with real turkey (not deli sliced turkey). Delicious. Also a rich, savory and creamy Hungarian Mushroom soup, packed with mushrooms. Then on the second visit, a caesar salad, tossed and dressed on the spot, and for dessert a rich and delicious slice of cheesecake. Then later, a chewy chocolate brownie. Everything was first rate. Try it. Highly recommended!

I stopped by Hiraeth Place very recently for takeout. I ordered two sandwiches to go including the French Onion Grilled Cheese ($7.50 plus tax) and a Pastrami Sandwich ($9 plus tax). Both sandwiches were prepared hot and fresh to order and ready to go in 7 minutes. I enjoyed my two hot pressed sandwiches out in the vehicle. The hot pressed French Onion Grilled Cheese had provolone, gruyere, caramelized onion jam between buttered slices of brioche. The sweet and savory flavors hit the mark. The hot pressed Pastrami Panini had thin slices of deli pastrami, dijon, gruyere, pickled onion between crisp slices of marble rye. This sandwich was also very good. I will definitely have to try some of their other hot sandwiches like their tuna melt, spicey boi grilled cheese, & buffalo chicken wrap on the next visit.

Randomly found this food truck parked in another lot during the off season. Seems like the only…read moresource of information on this place is directly on their website that gets updated maybe twice a year. Haven't found a facebook page or anything else. Waited and kept checking to see when they would open and finally they did in June. Showed up and they only take cash, no meat combo meals, had to be a half rack of ribs, and menu was almost exclusively burgers and fries. So I gave my hopes up and figured this place must not be worth it. Happened to be driving by one day and happened to have cash on me. Figured I'd check it out just to know for certain what I was missing. Just so happened that a meat combo was the "Special" of the day. 1/4 rack and pulled pork which was pretty much all they had for actual "BBQ" stuff. I don't consider burgers part of BBQ. And now I'm looking at their menu online which has been updated and they now serve Brisket on Friday and Saturday nights. And they change up their sides every week. Happened to catch them with Baked Beans and Pasta Salad that day. Ribs were 3 bones for a 1/4 rack. Slathered and char grilled quite a bit, which are 2 things I don't want on ribs. But damn it was good for a charred rib. Meat was as tough as you expect it to be for a rib all charred up but the sauce had a sweet fun heat kick to it. The kind of heat that doesn't burn at all but it feels like it might. Fruity sensation to it too. Other parts were a bit more tender and I think the original pork flavor gets a little lost in these ribs. With the char and the sauce it was hard to find a real good pork flavor but it was still very good. Pulled Pork was exactly how it was supposed to be, not completely torn apart, still big chunks that are soft and easy. Seasoned well, very moist, great pork flavor and seasoning flavor. Exactly the kind of pulled pork I want. Side of sauce wasn't completely necessary but I tried it on the pork. Thick style, I don't think it was the same stuff as on the ribs. But it was sweet and slow and did it's job. Pasta Salad was excellent. This was legit homemade Italian grandma olive oil style. Cut up peppers, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, Fussilie pasta. Flavor and texture made the stuff so easy to eat I could have just face planted myself into it. Beans looked amazing. Obviously some pulled or shredded meat, I want to say brisket. Maple and Brown Sugar flavors hit the tongue instantly, It was crazy. Tiny hint of smokey flavor from the brisket. Pinto beans could have used a tad bit longer in the pot but it wasn't a deal at all, just a preference. Slaw had a great sweet vinegar taste like any good slaw would. Pretty much only cabbage shreds but honestly who can tell the taste between carrots and radish when they've been pickling in the same juice. Slaw was gone before I could even think about it anymore ... so that should tell you something. Surprisingly good food truck. I just hate that it's cash only, I completely understand why, and that the sides change every week and it's not updated anywhere. But I will have to go back and try their burgers and fries and brisket and hotdogs soon.

Friendly service and decent food with a handful of Food Truck specialty menu items of BBQ ribs,…read morepulled pork, hot dogs, hamburgers, and a few sides. Sides on our visit included cole slaw, fries, cucumber salad, and baked beans. The half-rack of 8 ribs was generous, meaty, smoky, with a very nice, sweet, southern-style sauce brushed-on and also provided as a bonus dip. While the *flavors* were lovely in the slaw, beans, and BBQ sauce, the cuke salad had very little if any dressing, the beans seemed undercooked, and the ribs were overcooked. Ribs should be fall-off-the-bone tender, and we had to tear at every bone. Mind you, we picked them clean because, again, the flavor was good. But definitely overly dry, indicating a too-hot, too-fast cooking this time out. Easy-to-miss this BBQ trailer tucked into the far leafy corner of White's Sugar House & Farm Stand parking lot just before Route 202 if you're going east on Route 119. There aren't always practical street addresses in this mostly rural area, and the old farm sign is all but buried by the surrounding tree growth in summer. Slow up as you approach the lighted intersection, and keep your eyes peeled for the Old Fitzwilliam Rd street sign, even though it's just the driveway. Despite the dry ribs, we prefer indie places to chains, so we are still glad to have tried it. Southern sauce this good is harder to come by up north.

You order at a window and they call out your number when the food is ready. We meant to order two clam strip dinners bit we somehow ordered two half pints of clams. We also ordered onion rings. After we received the food we went back and ordered the fries. I was slightly bummed because I really wanted to try the coleslaw. They have a nice seating area inside and they have seating outside as well. There is also a nice gift shop and restrooms. The portion size was really big and the clams cooked perfectly! The onion rings were so good! Fries were edible but not great. I wish they had hand cut fresh fries but they dont. Next time I come i think I'll try the haddock.
