I thought this was the best BBQ food north of the Mason/Dixon line. Worth while stop anytime.

The food is reasonably priced and comes out quickly. I found the fries were a little under salted, but they were the perfect level for the salty burger (the beef, not even the bacon). After stopping at the local (and not good) Newbury Comics location semi-close by in Manchester, we continued on our way until we stumbled across Papa Joe's Humble Kitchen and figured we would give this place a shot for lunch. The outside looked like a side of the road burger joint you would find in New England and the inside matched it perfectly. This isn't exclusively a burger place, but the menu does revolve around burgers and sandwiches and I just had to give the specialty a try, The Full of Bologna Burger! As someone who really likes burgers and also likes bologna, this was a no brainer and it was pretty dang good if I do say so myself. The bologna and the beef mixed pretty well together and the french fries I had on the side were pretty good as well. Overall, Papa Joe's Humble Kitchen is a fun roadside restaurant that's definitely worth trying if you are in the area. The staff here were friendly, the restaurant itself is small and charming, and the food is on the cheaper side, greasy, and tastes dang good. Will I be back? Probably not since I don't even know where Milford, NH is, but I sure would recommend this place to those looking for a solid lunch in Southern New Hampshrie!

I may be in the minority, but I REALLY wish there wasn't live music (often with a cover charge) nearly every single weekend night. Personally I avoid it if there's a loud band playing music I don't want to hear (and often with a cover charge on top of it). If they made live music more of a special occasion or at least a more sporadic thing, I'd be there far more frequently, spending money. I've talked to a few others who feel the same. Management, if you're reading this, please consider that live amateur music is not everybody's thing. Acoustic (background) music is one thing but having a loud band almost every single weekend night at a neighborhood bar in a tiny town is overkill. Some people just like hanging out and talking and with background music on. I dunno, just strikes me as a neighborhood bar trying to be a live music venue that is really just a neighborhood bar. Still a good spot overall!

Great people watching, and dog friendly if that's important to you. Personally, the inside would have been too dark to have lunch on a beautiful sunny day. Beer selection was good, and the menu was well rounded American fare. We split a burger & fries & it passed the test. The waitress was friendly and attentive. This restaurant fit the funky vibe of Peterborough and it's worth a stop if you're in town.

After a few hours on Mount Monadnock, I had ice cream on the brain (or perhaps... the stomach?)…read more A quick search once I had better signal in town suggested Kimball Farm and off I went. I was greeted by a very busy parking lot on that Saturday afternoon. Committed to waiting in line for my sweet treat, I was pleasantly surprised to see the crowds were massed around the take out window for food and not ice cream. Great for me but also made me wonder what I was missing out on. It would seem everyone was drawn to the seafood platters here which, had I had a hankering for, looked heaped with appetizing fried morsels. Alas, I diverted to the other set of windows. I was waited on right away after perusing the extensive list of flavors. I was hoping for Coffee Oreo but discovered they were out. Not to worry, they had plain 'ol coffee and I was on my way. A small serving was HUGE! I couldn't finish it all, even having worked up an appetite. The homemade ice cream was creamy and flavorful. Fairly standard though as ice cream goes but the ambiance and experience at the place maintains a higher star rating. Plenty of park benches and picnic tables sprinkle the property. Rolling fields and farmlands surround the establishment. Large parking lot. Ice cream, take out, dine in, and country store all available. I only experienced the ice cream so the rest will be left to my imagination. Fun stop post-hike.

Its always busy here but tje line moved fairly quickly. You order at a window and they call out your number when the food is ready. We meant to order two clam strip dinners bit we somehow ordered two half pints of clams. We also ordered onion rings. After we received the food we went back and ordered the fries. I was slightly bummed because I really wanted to try the coleslaw. They have a nice seating area inside and they have seating outside as well. There is also a nice gift shop and restrooms. The portion size was really big and the clams cooked perfectly! The onion rings were so good! Fries were edible but not great. I wish they had hand cut fresh fries but they dont. Next time I come i think I'll try the haddock. Also right next to the food is ice cream! We ordered two thick frappe and they are THICK! We will be back!
