Had sandwich remade twice and it still wasn't right. Had a hard time understanding English in person and over the phone.

Very disappointed. Usually they are our favorite place to go. Tonight changed that. I ordered food at 645pm...they got here at 9:15pm we called after 2 hours of waiting!! The pizza was ICE COLD, we ordered large mozzarella sticks for a Angel that were also ICE COLD, the grinder literally was falling apart from being so soggy!! When I cashed to complain he said ok I give 15%off it next order...NO there will be no next order and I WILL be telling my family and friends. If I could do no star rating I would!!! read more

We were just up there. They totally mangled my wife's sub. They added mayonnaise, lettuce, and tomatoes to a chicken teriyaki sub when specifically told not to. Dry, overcooked chicken. I found all this when i got home. I called to complain and they offered a discount on a future order alongside two apologies as recompense. And y'all want tips? What a damn joke. Because "I'm sorry" puts food in her stomach. There isn't gonna be a future order. My sub wasn't bad, the half i got to eat. Try giving a s**t just a little bit before asking for tips on takeout. I called in my order which included 4 pizzas 30 minutes before I was intending to pick up my order. I arrived and my pizza had not even been put in the oven yet when I arrived 30 minutes after ordering it. I was given a 25 minute estimate after placing the order. Upon walking in it was a solid 8 minutes before any employee even acknowledged me. At this point it's nearly 40 minutes since I ordered and was quoted a 25 minute pick up time. I was told they were "short staffed" (there were 6+ people behind the counter working) and someone was working on it. Saying it would be at least 10 more minutes. As I'm waiting I watched a short pregnant woman vigorously rub her sweaty forehead and stick her hands in the cheese. Unfortunately for me after viewing this I did not eat my $40 worth of pizza. Honestly I just want a refund but I doubt that will happen since none of the employees even acknowledge their customers. read more

Winchendon has plenty of pizza/grinder places to pick from. Gabby's is one of the best. They have good service and we all enjoyed our meals. The chicken wings were cooked perfectly! They have a few beer and wine choices if you are dining in and they have online ordering as well. read more

Gabby's is a great stop for when you're not in the mood for cooking and want a cheap dinner. The homemade bread is delicious and the sub portions are rather generous- most places I order a large but here a small is more than plenty. The ingredients have been consistently fresh and nothing so far has been over/under cooked. Although they have a very extensive menu, they don't have a large section of specialty menu items that some other places have. That being said, they're good for the basics The only downfall I've had so far is when they make their Italians they put a small line of the hots and the oils at the bottom of the subroll- they don't mix it which leaves the top half of the sandwich bland. I like my Italians dripping with oils and hots so I often have to ask for them to load them up. read more

The subs here are so yummy and the portions are so generous that I can't even finish a small. Their bread is awesome and fresh.

Still takes time to get the meals but the service has definitely improved. The home made bread is delicious and goes well with all their sandwiches amd calzones. Recently I saw gyros offered, and will try them. The ice cream freezer (with treats like Choco Tacos and Oreo ice cream sandwiches) is a real hit. Unfortunately gabbys is not what it used to be. Previously loved going to Gabbys for their subs but the recent turkey with fixings I got there was bad. The sandwich itself is $9 and instead of using real turkey, the sandwich had thin sliced deli turkey that had been warmed up. The stuffing was flat and my sandwich had no gravy which is supposed to come with it. The bread was good as usual but didn't make up for the rest. Real cooked turkey definitely tastes much better than deli turkey. Disappointing since I use to love their subs. I gave 3 stars instead of 2 since I used to love their subs and the bread is much better than commercial sub shops. read more

Had a large pepperoni, pepper and onion pizza delivered. It was the greasiest, soggiest pizza I have ever had in my life. Even if you tried to fold the pizza slice in half to eat, the crust was so grease laden it would flop over and the toppings fall off. The grease was literally dripping from the pizza so much it dripped all over a brand new pair of dress pants I had just worn for the first time that day, ruining them. Good food, you get what you expect every time. There does seem to be an issue with the speed of getting the food to you though. The delivery service lacks quite a bit. Have been told a half hour for a pizza, and it's turned into 1.5. When I finally got the pizza it was cold. They offered me a $2 off credit for next time I ordered. Not a good trade off. read more

I've been ordering from here for a year now. We order 4-5 times per month and the food and service have been slipping lately. Last week we placed an on line order and when I went to pick it up, it was almost ready. Paid as I should've and sat to wait. New person starts to run the register and 11 people come and go and no one says anything to me about my order. After 25 minutes I go back to the register, have to repeat what I ordered, was told he couldn't find it in the register. Told him I have already paid just waiting for the food. Amazingly he walks over and picks it up. It was warm, not hot so it had been there awhile. Today I again order and this time things were even worse. Asked for the order to be ready for 515 pm. When I arrived one of the male employees snapped at one of the female employees because I had been standing there for about 5 seconds. Presents as completely un professional. When I get my order, the box was cold. I had an appointment to get to so I took the calzone and left. The look of the COLD calzone appeared as though it was completed long before the requested time. The cheese had no shine no appearance of being fresh. When I attempted a bite it was just not good. Had no chance to return this evening and looks like I will not be returning again. read more

My wife and I were new to this area and gave this place a shot, got sick off the food they made us. Not only that, but the 15 minute wait time quickly turned to 45 minutes to an hour delivery for a sandwich and a dinner meal.
