I wanted to order something to be delivered to our hotel room. GrubHub can be a pain to set up and I was like hell with this. This spot was recommended to me by the front desk clerk and it was worth ordering. I ordered a Greek Salad and a think crust Sausage and Cheese Pizza. It was $20 that's a deal. Mythe salad was huge and fresh two people could eat it no joke. Full of lettuce, onions, green peppers, tomatoes and olives and cheese. The dressing was a nice complement of a creamy Greek dressing. Also it came with a warmed u large piece of pita and utensils a plus. The pizza was pretty good but being from Chicago and having that and NY City pizza it's respectable but a little doughy and toothsome. The cheese and sauce was good and the sausage was a little spicy in a good way. For the price it's good. Now calling in was a riot, the guy who answered was pretty matter s fact and took my order, address and room number, but did not take my name or credit card. Luckily I asked the front desk what's the deal and said call them back they will show up with it but it's best to pre pay. Not a problem and the guy was way cool. The delivery guy was cool and I appreciated the expediency of the delivery.. I think if I'm in the area again I'd try them for some other things. The price is right and the portions are huge. I'm a truck driver stuck at a warehouse this evening. Found this lil place on YELP. Reviews looked good so I thought...let's give it a whirl. I opted for the Cheeseburger Sub/Grinder!! So glad I did. I got the large version,toasted of course. It arrived within the time it was supposed to. Driver was friendly and polite. I did leave him about a 25% tip. Glad it worked out. Not getting loaded any quicker,but at least my stomach won't be mad at me anymore. Can't wait to get outta here as I'm heading back to Florida where it's a bit warmer. I ordered the calzone with sausage during the lunch hour. It comes with onions and bell peppers. It was a good size portion, but the problem for me was that it was too soggy. The liquid from the veggies sweat out during the baking process and makes for a sloppy experience. The dough in the middle was perhaps a little thin too, making it flimsy to eat. Not surprisingly, the crust around the edges was really thick. In terms of flavor, it wasn't too bad though. I saved the other half and ate it later. Ironically, I think it tasted better and easier to handle once I took it out of the fridge and reheated it. Overall, not great, but not bad. Regularly get my pizza from Billy. His greek style pie has a sweet tang to it and a very thin bottom crust with a doughy, large edge crust. Large fungi, black olive, and pineapple. This place needs to be called out for the way they do business !! We ordered a Pizza & a small order of wings a few weeks ago for delivery, and the driver told me it was $31.00 ?? I asked for a receipt & he said he didn't have one. I paid cash & gave him a $7.00 tip , but when he left I thought it was pretty expensive , so I called to check the pricing and the owner answered the phone . I gave him all my information. Ph# / Address/ and what we ordered,and how much the kid driver said it cost !! The owner informed me that my bill should have been $21.00 & he would talk to driver & take care of us the next time we ordered as we ordered regularly from them !! Tried to order last night & spoke to owner , he was very rude and said he never spoke with me or said he would take care of the pricing from the last order !! He also yelled at me and said I shouldn't have waited so long to order again and I told him that it was okay because we would never order from there again & would encourage others to do the same !!!! Such a nice surprise. I was on a bicycle andy desperate to use facilities; otherwise, in a car I would have driven by as I usually do. It's not fancy outside. Actually it looks a bit grim. I get pizza here a lot, much better than Pizza Fort. I usually get the standby pepperoni and mushroom, Hawaiian is always good too. The calzones are also pretty sizable. Only a couple times have I had the pizzas slightly burned underneath, but the cheese and the sauce are things I like about this place. The owner is very friendly, it works well to call ahead though. We have enjoyed the pizza from Devens Pizza in the past but last time we had it delivered the person delivering charged us $10.00 extra and when we asked for a receipt he didn't have one. We called the owner who told us he would "take care of us next time" . We ordered a month later and the owner said he would never have said that and denied the phone conversation. We won't be going there again. After posting this review the owner called and apologize about this incident and said he was wrong. Hosted an event inside of Devens. Ordered four large pizzas, asked if they could get the pizza in squares, two of the four were cut in squares and not evenly. The sauce was good but the pizza was your typical insert your name house of pizza with the frozen dough. read more

All my reviews are short sweet and to the point to keep your day rolling. Pros: the prices! Prices are insanely cheap! Menu selection is decent appetizers are good too! They DO deliver CONS: delivery took 65 minutes...for an Ayer TO Ayer delivery?!?! Pizza was luke warm crust HARD as a rock! Semi greasy and the toppings barely existant. I seriously question anyone here who reviewed there pizza as good..you obviously have NEVER tasted good pizza. Sorrentos while not perfect is also right near by and FAR superior (though more costly). The cottage is also a better alternative near by. All in all i can not reccomend this establishment based upon this experience read more

My family and I have been ordering from here for close to 30 years. I grew up as most people do, and moved a few towns away, but when I visit my dad we always order takeout from here. Their cheeseburger subs are amazing and taste the same as they did all those years ago when we first started ordering. Been going here for years. Even when it was called Archie's. The owner is very nice and takes care of his customers. He does not tolerate being disrespected or his shop as well which I have seen with certain people that go in there. As anyone else shouldn't. Prices by far beat prices anywhere else in town. Subs are fantastic and always loaded. Not a sub where you get a two slices of meat and all bread. Pizza is good, but not great. Great pasta dishes, and salads. The steak and cheese were BONE DRY. there wasn't even a NORMAL amount of cheese in there, nevermind EXTRA cheese! And despite the cheese, the meat itself was BURNT it was so dry. the mozzarella sticks were luke warm. haha do not waste your time. My review is based on a number of years going to lunch with my wife, usually 3-4 times per month. We have always ordered the same thing - the Devens Special sub - so I can't speak to the pizza or other subs. But we like the Special so much that we drive considerably further than to other nearby restaurants in order to get it. We do live far enough away (southwest side of Harvard) that they don't deliver to our house or we would try their pizza and other things for suppers. read more
