Pretty good local family pizza shop in Leominster. Been trying them all since I moved here and none have really disappointed. Papous is a nice family spot with a good size menu and specials. Tried their pizza the other night and was impressed. The cheese and sauce ratio were great. Fair prices in todays world. This was my first time trying Papou Pizzas and I must say I had a fairly decent experience. Friendly people working here a decent wait time (30 minutes or so) and plenty of seating. Now for the food... I must say for the size both the small pizza and calzone was overpriced. The quality of both was good, both my significant other and I truly enjoyed each bite. The marinara sauce wasn't the best but the calzone itself was good. It had a good amount of flavor and cheese, not overly greasy as well. Overall I would rate this restaurant and their food a solid 7 out of 10. read more

Any time I'm in the area I stop here for their French Bread Pizza! It's so good, so filling and comes at a great price! Little frustrating that these guys still haven't put a Menu out for customers whether on a website, Facebook or just on the internet. The chick who answers the phone is down right rude!!! We used to go on Thursday nights and now if we order I'll either walk in or call and hang up till I get the gentlemen or older lady!!!! The younger girl can't seem to write down the right orders, then u call and complain and she will tell you it's your fault Cmon Papous u can hire better people!!! The owners are terrific. mEHHH. Came in our of necessity waiting for my laundry to finish up next door. Took home a bacon/onion pizza and a steak n cheese. Order total was under $25, I had a few laughs with the owner and the younger kids running the place., Definitely an old school joint that once used the light up menu board, but now they just have little signs instructing you to use the paper menus at the counter. Pretty large menu for a little place like this. Being in there made me feel like they had a wild heyday but a little run down, albeit very clean dining area. I live about 20 mins away so I had to endure the scent of food all the way home. Now let me tell you that this was the most peculiar part.. I swear the pizza continued to cook or something in the box... cause It was the strongest and most versatile scent patterns I've ever experienced outside a yankee candle.. 5 mins upon departing- I smell cheese and onions -- very strongly! 10 mins... sweet, sugary smell almost vanilla musky, and apple 15 mins.. Spicy, effervescent eucalyptus smell 20 mins - home - Pepperoni/sausage smell Open the box to find they put one-half bacon and once half onions - no worry I'm still eating it! The crust is the generic out of the box greek style - super thick.. ultra beefy crusts, def from frozen. but even though it was thick it was pleasantly soft and doughy but held up well and didny have any soggy factor. Steak and cheese was not great, but not bad by any means. lots of meat, just lacked any flavor beyond salt and pepper. Not terrible but probably wont get again. Overall, it was middle of the road, and just that. when I got in my car the next morning it was still oppressively strong and foul stinking of onion -potpourri party! read more

I lived in Leominster most my life and had never been to Papou's until I no longer lived in the city. Location is a little bit south of downtown, prices are in line with other establishments like this, but staff service, cleanliness,and food quality are well above the competition. I travel all over the world to various restaurants venues. It just happen to be my first time at this restaurant establishment. The employee staff where very unprofessional and rude. The steak & cheese I order was just steak and cheese with no seasoning. I would highly suggest that you not go to this restaurant establishment until they improve on there customer service skills. read more

Hard working staff, a true family owned Pizza Shop. They simply don't come like this anymore. You go in and are treated as a member of the family. The menu is impressively large with options ranging from pizza to fish. Their subs are amazing too, along with their dinner plates. One of the best things about Papous is that they will make your meal by your request. They go above and beyond to make orders to the specification of the customer. For those complaining about the delivery, I get it. They use Ken's Taxi as many of the local shops do in Leominster for economic reasons. Simple solution: if you don't like the delivery service pick up your food! It will be worth it! Truly an establishment that has made its self a little piece of Leominster history. Tried Papous for the first time this week. We got the meat lovers pizza and french fries. We were put in a food coma. There was so much meat on this pizza that we probably should have our cholesterol checked. It was so good. We will definitely be trying Papous again! read more

I LOVE their Fried Haddock. It reminds me of the ole Robinson's Fish and Chips we'd have every Friday when I was a kid. When I lived in the area I would have it every week or so. Now that I've moved away, when ever I get back in Leominster I usually go there for either the Fish and Chips or Baked Haddock and rice. If I had a choice into the negatives I would give it. The first time I visited Papou's it was for an onion pizza. But what I discovered when I got home was a cheese pizza with eaw onions for a topping. I had promised not to return but was convinced that a newer 'cook was since employed. Having gone back after a long hiatus, I ordered a pepperoni pizza, thin and crispy. I got a half cooked flat wheel of dough, raw at the edges, soggy, and lacking pepperoni. This, to me is garbage! I'm not one to just leave bad reviews on these types of sites. I love to leave good reviews in fact. But I was so digested after my visit here today. I watched the two workers making subs with NO GLOVES. Yes, the cashier who handled the money is also making your sandwiches tonight without gloves. I may even contact the Dept of Health on this one. And also to mention I decided to pick up my order tonight because the first time I ordered from here I got delivery. The delivery took over an hour and they charge a hefty $4 delivery fee. read more

Food can be really good but very inconsistent, charged different prices, different items included in dinner , one time fries and texas toast, another time nothing with entree. Today I tried a Sicilian pizza for the first time! I have to say this is one of the best pizza's I have ever had. I ordered it plain with a little light on the cheese, It was the best! The edges were crunchy and the middle was light and the dough was perfect. Just the right amount of cheese! Total perfection!
