Athenian sub
Jillian C.

BEST takeout spot in Clinton and surrounding areas by far! Whatever you're craving, they have it! From pizza and calzones to subs and gyros they have it all and they offer unique creations that your typical takeout spot wouldn't have! Very large portions for an extremely fair price! Fast and friendly service who know how to cook! Right on High st and easily accessible for pickup. They have seating inside too if you're looking to dine in. You really can't go wrong by choosing P&S!

Italian Sub

Friendly staff and good food. Italian sub was fresh and tasty, but meat was cut a bit thick IMO. Inside is clean.

Cheese Pizza Slice

Ordered the large fried chicken parm sub with just provolone and no peppers (have never had a chicken parm with peppers) and it was really good. The chicken tasted great and was slightly crispy, however it was cut up into cubes which would cause it to fall out, so it was a little messy. There was a good portion if marinara so the chicken not the sandwich was soggy. I thought the bread of the sub was fine, I ordered it toasted, however it was only slightly crispy. I would get it again, especially for the great price of $9.40. I also ordered a slice of cheese pizza, which was pretty good and was a decent size. It had good structure and the crust was crunchy, the sauce was nice and sweet which I really liked.

Flavorless pizza, tastes like frozen pizza shell dough, not much sauce or toppings, no garlic, salt, olive oil, etc. needs flavor

Clinton is absolutely drowning in places to get a decent sub--sorry, a decent grinder--so honestly,…read moreyou'd have to go out of your way to find something that sucks. Mr. Z's Pizza doesn't just avoid sucking; it clears the bar with room to spare. Yes, it's a pizza place first, but today we're talking sandwiches and pasta, because this shop handles both like they've got something to prove. I went with a pastrami grinder: onions, toasted, mustard, Swiss. This thing came out packed. Flavor on point, execution flawless. The bread had that perfect New England balance--crusty enough to give you a little resistance, not so crusty that you feel like you're gnawing through drywall. They offer two bread options: house-made or frozen/reheated. I went with the latter because the house-made sizes are basically "medium-ish" and "food challenge." The large one could feed two people comfortably, three if they're lightweights. I wanted a clean 8‑inch sub, so premade it was. My wife ordered the ziti and meatballs, and you need to understand something: Mr. Z's is known for its baked pasta. There's a layer of cheese on top thick enough to make all of France weep into its fancy little coffees. Underneath that molten blanket is perfectly cooked ziti and genuinely delicious homemade meatballs. It's the kind of dish that hits you right in the comfort-food cortex. I also know from experience that their Italian sub is dialed in, and the pizza? Fantastic. New England pizza parlors occupy a sacred space that chains simply cannot touch, and Mr. Z's fits right into that tradition. This is the kind of shop where you come for the food and stay for the food because everything they make is just... good. Between Mr. Z's and P&S, Clinton honestly doesn't need another pizza joint or sub shop. And I haven't even gotten to TC Landau's yet.

Please read, I know this is a long review, but it is worth reading. I do not want anyone else to…read moreget sick or have a similar experience. If I could leave zero stars, I would. For the first time, we ordered from Mr. Z's Pizzeria on 267 High Street in Clinton after discovering our usual restaurant, Primo's, was closed that Sunday. We ordered two large cheese pizzas for $32, which felt expensive given the quality received. When we got home, the pizza was extremely salty and also excessively greasy well beyond what would be considered normal for a properly prepared pizza. It was difficult to eat, and some family members were unable to finish it due to health-related concerns. The slices were also unevenly cut and appeared poorly prepared, which added to the overall impression of low quality. When I called to address the issue, the same young lady who originally took my order answered the phone. She was polite, professional, and offered to check whether a refund, credit, or resolution could be provided. She then transferred me to the manager, who I believe is named Rob. I calmly and respectfully explained the situation. However, during the call he immediately placed me on hold and then disconnected the call, which required me to call back. On the second call, I again attempted to explain the issue and request a refund for one of the two pizzas, as the second box was completely untouched due to the quality concerns. My intention was to obtain a refund so I could order food elsewhere for the children, as they were unable to eat the pizza. The manager remained dismissive and repeatedly stated that the issue was simply that we "didn't like the pizza." He also stated that even the owner would have the same response and declined to offer any refund or alternative resolution. He further stated that he had been working there for 15 years, which came across as justifying his approach rather than addressing the concern at hand. He indicated he was too busy to continue the conversation, despite the restaurant being empty when I later visited in person. When I returned to the restaurant, I brought the second untouched pizza box with me to clearly demonstrate that we were not attempting to obtain anything free, but rather seeking a fair resolution due to the quality concerns. I also left the pizza at the establishment, as it was not suitable for consumption due to how excessively salty, greasy, and outside normal expectations it was. At that point, the situation escalated further. The manager repeated that we "simply did not like the pizza," refused to acknowledge the issue, and stated he would not change his recipe for me. He also indicated he was calling the police and appeared to be on the phone with them; however, no officers ever arrived. Overall, the interaction felt dismissive and unprofessional, with no effort made to address or resolve a legitimate customer concern. The young lady who assisted both in person and on the phone as I mentioned was kind and professional, which stood in contrast to the manager's behavior After looking on Yelp, I saw the ratings are not good, and I would have never ordered from here if I had known. I highly recommend others do their research before ordering. Don't waste your money or risk your health. In the end, this was not about the money it was about how we were treated as customers and the complete lack of respect and professionalism shown when we simply tried to voice a legitimate concern. Customers have rights, and basic respect should always be part of any business experience. The Manager Rob its extremely rude he doesn't care about the customer he is a total Jerk.

The delicious, from-scratch Brazilian food is of the kind you will find at popular "by-the-kilo" restaurants in Brazil. (Take this from someone who has been to Brazil many times.) The food is served buffet style. You fill your plate from a wide selection of such Brazilian delectables as feijoada (pork black bean stew), moqueca de peixe (fish stew), various Brazilian salads, and more. All the food here is clearly cooked with attention and love. There is also a selection of succulent barbecue meats available that can be added to your plate. Your plate is weighted, and you pay "by-the-kilo". Also available are various juices and many yummy desserts like flan. I made myself a hefty plate with added meats and was charged $20, which I thought was very reasonable given the amount I took. (As you can see from the photo, my eyes were bigger than my stomach, but my stomach is catching up after a few visits here...) This is a casual, family-run business led by the "simpatico" Felipe, who is happy to explain the food and show you the various meats available slow roasting in the kitchen. And shoutout to the friendly and efficient hostess Elena who makes everyone feel very comfortable.  If you are interested in having authentic Brazilian food and atmosphere without the inconvenience of traveling thousands of miles to do so, then be sure to checkout Delícias da Nossa Terra in Clinton. You will be glad you did.

The inside didn't have any real servers (I don't think) so I had to stare down the busy bartender to get service. As a first-time visitor, without navigation going, it's not obvious you're even near the place because it's in a residential area, and the building is partially blocked by a large fence around the outside dining area. Inside it has a very comfy "local" feel, with seats at the bar, and a larger dining area with a variety of tables that can seat larger parties. The beer selection isn't extensive, but they have enough of a variety to satisfy everyone. And our waitress was fantastic, very knowledgeable and extremely friendly. I had checked the menu and reviews before visiting, and I noticed particularly good reviews about the pizza. I have to say, I was impressed. As "pub pizza" the quality was again "unexpected," with a variety of specialty pizzas, and a fantastic, crispy crust to the pie. I came here with local friends who enjoy doing the Wednesday night pub trivia. It's run by Pop Quiz Trivia, our favorites in the Boston area. They only give out prizes for the top 2 teams here, so be sure to consume that "thinking juice."

They extremely over charged as well as belittled and insulted me after telling me he has enough customers and he'd rather loose one than refund me, he also -Hung up on me when calling back after dropping off my order and leaving. -told me it was my fault for being overcharged because I didn't ask the total... -continues to tell me "I won't do anything for you I have other customers" inferring I was no longer a valued customer. -Brothers Pizza will mislead you and sneak around with their words so badly that they would turn a millionaire to broke if they could. Lastly I'd like to mention I've been going to Brothers Pizza for some time now and despite the horrendous disgusting customer service I've received each time I ignored because not many people deliver in town, however now I will never return and wouldn't even recommend a starving person I'd rather help myself than put them through Brothers Pizza. Only single reason to EVER go to this restaurant is if you turkey need a delivery however there are some better alternatives in town that deliver as well (p&s pizza, mr. z's, etc) and provide customer service that doesn't leave you helpless and stressed. DO NOT EAT HERE
