    Browning lettuce

This used to be our go to pizza place. When I visit family, it is 7 of us so a decent sized order. Last time we ordered we got steak and cheese subs with no cheese. Upon calling, we were told the cook did put cheese on the subs. We explained we are looking at the subs and there is no cheese-nope, we were told there absolutely was cheese and that we were wrong. Tonight we ordered a Greek salad. Lettuce is brown. It's Winchendon so there aren't many food options which means we order a lot from Christos. After these two experiences, we will be going elsewhere.

So this is a steak special. No onions no mushrooms soggy bread and no mayo that was requested.

Ok so this is my first review here on yelp. I usually do my reviews on Google. But today warranted alot of extra work on my part to make sure that people know how I and my husband were treated. So to start we had an order that cost 47.32 and I tipped so it round to 50.00 dollars. I ordered a large bbq chicken pizza a small cheese pizza a steak special and two bbq chicken ranch melts. The sub was soggy and was missing the mayo I requested the onions and mushroom and there was absolutely no cheese. The ranch melts had NO ranch. When I first called I had a dropped called when I called back within seconds I was immediately put on hold. I spoke with an employee first then a manager. We were spoke to in a snarky way. The pizza was burnt and if you like to eat the crust you might have broken a tooth attempting to do so. I was told that my sandwiches were made correctly... They were not. By the end of the phone call no solution was arrived at and we were told not to come back to the establishment. 50 dollars down the drain. I was asked to bring the food back.. it is a health violation to take the food over the counter. Their policy is to either have you bring it back and they'll either refund it or make a new one... They told us that they basically didn't believe us that the sandwiches were wrong. It was a complete insult. They weren't going to give me anything for my troubles. Just offered to make it the way it was supposed to be made WHEN I PAID FOR IT! So I would suggest NOT going there and I am ASHAMED to have this horrible establishment in my neighborhood!!

    Doughy pizza

Pizza was doughy. Called to tell manager and she hung up on me. Called again and she didn't even apologize. Chunks of something in my ranch too. Left a message on Facebook messenger and they read it and didn't respond.

I was delighted to discover that their food options have expanded with two food trucks outside the Brew Barn -- one being TimberFire. The enticing waft of wood smoke from the brick pizza oven in the back -- mounted on a cart for transportation! -- immediately piqued my interest. But it was the chalkboard sign announcing that gluten free and vegan options were available that made me jump in line (and jump for joy). That magical combo of GF crust and dairy free cheese is still not that common, and it's even harder to find ones that taste good. Since I have a gluten sensitivity and am allergic to many forms of dairy, I was intrigued to try. The Tall Man and I each ordered one of the specials, The Fungus Among Us, which features mushrooms (of course), caramelized onions, and garlic cream sauce. He got the full gluten and dairy experience (aka refused to share in my limitations), while I got mine on GF crust and vegan cheese. In lieu of the sauce and their other alternatives (I also can't eat much tomato, and their pesto has parmesan), I suggested straight up olive oil to stick it all together. I was already holding up the line with my multiple questions, but they were very friendly and were happy to answer while busily stretching dough and checking on pizzas in the oven. 20 minutes later, we picked up our pies plus one for friends. (Unlike the Brew Barn, which will text you when your food is done, TimberFire calls out names so you have to stick close by.) Verdict? Delicious, especially straight from the oven on a chilly fall day! They used a premade GF crust, but one that had a pretty good crispy texture when fresh. Vegan cheese was all melty and creamy, so I didn't miss the sauce at all. The mushrooms were fantastic and generous. The Tall Man really liked his version of the pizza, reporting the sauce to be clutch. Our friends' Fresh to Death (aka margarita) pizza was pretty good, maybe not as wow-ing but satisfying both adults and children. I was quite happy with my pizza's flavor, but wish it were larger for the price ($18 per pie), with the GF one being smaller (10"?) than the hand stretched counterparts. They're closer in size to a medium pizza elsewhere. The Tall Man easily finished his whole pie in one go, while I ate half and saved the rest for leftovers. So expect a pricier lunch for 1-2 people per pie, or mix and match with other food options if you plan to share. Thank you for delivering a tasty GF DF experience!

For my money the chicken pesto is one of my favorite pizzas and the Bianca a white sauce and onion is a close second. The canolis made to order are on point and good too include. The wait time is 40 or more minutes for what seems like any order is a lot and the fact that when you get there your pizza is out and sitting on top of the oven isn't great, wish they could dial that in... there is one hardo i am assuming "manager" that doesn't let people sit and eat there pizza in their dining area an hour before they close which can be very annoying, I enjoy eating my pizza hot when it comes out. Seems like a mixed bag on whether we get an order that's messes up, sort of the Manny being Manny analogy just grapellis being grapellis, will you get your cheese pizza with pesto? Maybe. Still one of the best pizzas in the area and worth trying the monthly specials.

First time there, my spouse and I had the eggplant parm sandwich and the chicken tenders sandwich, seasoned fries, and onion rings. It all survived the 10-minute trip back to our office still hot and didn't get mushy. The fries and onion rings were flavorful and crunchy. The bread on the sandwiches was a little chewy, but the fillings and sauces were excellent. The chicken tenders were perfectly cooked with a nice crunch to the breading. Ketchup is served in small lidded containers, which I really appreciate (can't stand messy packets). The next time, I tried their Italian sub. Very tasty and a great price with three kinds of meat and a wide array of toppings. Quickly served, and the counter help was very professional. All items were wrapped with care, and you can tell the cook takes pride in their work. I will definitely be back!

Their cheese or pepperoni slices are as close to New York quality as you can find anywhere outside the tri-state area; wonderful crust, excellent sauce, and perfect cheese ratio. Given the number of bars and college students in town, they do enough business to constantly churn out fresh pies so you're likely to get something that's come right out of the oven. It's got just enough of the rushed New York mentality to match their near New York quality, yet a chill enough vibe to remind you that you're still in "The Valley" - so kudos to their awesome staff. As of my last visit, they have switched to Pepsi products, which is even better. They do have a massive selection of creative toppings as well. Many traditional pizza purists may disagree, but most of the ones I've tried are very good too, and they're always fresh.
