    OMG yum margherita pizza

I am 61 years old and have been on a search for great pizza all my life. I am telling you that this is the BEST PIZZA I have ever eaten. Thin crust but not too thin. The dough is PERFECT with the occasional bubble. Basil is fresh cut off the plants next to the pizza oven. Mozzarella is plentiful - it's soft with the perfect bit of chew. Fresh cherry tomato tops the whole thing. You can taste the flavor of every ingredient in every bite. It's not too much or little. Really perfection. Please don't change guys! If anything, come down to the Carolinas and RULE the pizza world!

We did a tasting of the six brews they had on tap. I first want to mention, their stout, Tom Swamp Road was delicious. I love stouts, especially this time of year, and they hit the mark with this beer. Gate 37 gets an honorable mention too. Its a very light and lemony grisette. It was a nice and easy to drink. Their saison, My Conversation, was also very good. In fact I enjoyed all the beer, even Everything is Everything, which is an IPA, and i'm not normally a fan of IPAs. The beer was great of course. I have to say though, I really really enjoyed the vibe of this place. You could tell it is located in a small town, everyone could join in on conversations occurring around the bar and the two guys behind the bar didn't even have the slightest beer snob attitude. They were both friendly and knowledgeable. If i lived closer to here, I would certainly stop by here on a regular basis and grab a drink or three. Definitely make this one of your stops.

For not being a beer drinker, I haven't had a beer There that I didn't like. Next time you're driving route two swing off and take a road less traveled into Orange for a beer and a snack. Whenever we go out to eat I always suggest coming here because I look forward to trying new things but also love sticking to some of my favorites like the g Vegas nachos and southwest bowl. They also have the best fried pickles around. Even when the restaurant is busy, the servers are attentive and friendly. I love the ambience and that they have local artists Work posted all the time. I am huge in supporting small sellers and small businesses and I love that they do that too. It's also great that they let you pick from their own flights or you can choose your own!

We came here to try out their Monday Blues, and happened on their Monday Buck-a-Shuck oysters! We found a long room with over 70 seats set up at tables for four that looked combine-able, about 20 seats at the bar and at 2-seat hightops, both rooms with a wall of windows. The band set up in the bar window, but sit where you like, we found that we could hear the band everywhere! There's also a small enclosed outdoor patio with about 30 more seats at umbrellaed tables. The Jim Atkinson band is a foursome of Boston-area musicians that has been cranking out great blues, rock, & roots since 2017. We loved them, especially enjoying the creative keyboard and a real live sax! Their music selection was amazing, more their favorite solid blues than old-standbys, so we didn't recognize every song. But that's real music :-) The $1 New England oysters were big and juicy! They started at 4pm before we got there, and they still had plenty for us after 7pm! They say the variety changes with availability. These were not overly salty. This was dinner for us, and we started with their hot-skillet "Mexican Corn Dip" with zingy pico de gallo salsa and fresh crisp corn tortilla chips. We got a "warm energy" bowl of quinoa, fresh tart cranberries, baby spinach, roasted sweet potato, and goat cheese, flavored with some scallions and garlic-butter. Huge, delicious, and very satisfying! The Fish 'n Chips was a full-foot-long full of their own Moon-Hill-beer beer-battered haddock, piping-hot fries, fresh crunchy coleslaw, with tartar sauce. Yep, Huge, delicious, and satisfying! We tried their parmesan-garlic wings, but that wasn't our favorite. They were ok, but not crispy which we expected. Came with crunchy celery and creamy bleu cheese. Of course we leaned on their in-house Moon Hill brewery for several dry IPAs, their luscious Candy Mountain blueberry sour, (which could have been colder), and a very tasty non-alcohol Blueberry (Not)-tini, a bubbly beverage crafted with "Reàl Blueberry Purée", fresh lemon juice and lemonade. This is a nice community bar, brewery, restaurant, and patio. We are already looking forward to their big Octoberfest!

Several months ago, I was following my GPS to visit someone when this place caught my eye…read more It was so tiny. So hidden away. I mean, who the hell has even heard of Gilbertville? I made a mental note to come back another day, when I had time to explore the area. Spoiler alert: There's not much there to explore in Gilbertville. Although, if you're like me and willing to drive 10 miles out of your way to save ten cents a gallon on gas, they do have the cheapest gas around. But I digress... Yesterday I pulled into their almost non-existent parking lot and wondered where people park when they are full. I was there at 3pm, so it was empty aside from myself, two other people, and a dog. The space was quirky and eclectic, with random art on the walls, old pieces from antique shops, and a bar lined with metal seats. They also had a few tables. It was all dark old wood, and I imagine it would be an awesome spot to hit on a cold winter's day. I settled myself into a seat at the bar. Just a warning: those seats must have the AC blowing directly onto the metal, because my poor vagina felt like it went through a cold plunge. I was wearing shorts, but the freezing cold metal felt like it penetrated straight into my cervix. If you opt for bar seating while wearing shorts, pack a sweater for your genitals. Icy nether regions aside, this place was a perfect little hideaway to hang for a bit and enjoy some well-crafted beers. They don't serve meals, but they do have snacks you can purchase if you need some sustenance. Their white stout was PHENOMENAL, one of the best beers I've had in a while. It was creamy, sweet, and SO easy to drink. It gave me a cream soda vibe, but with a 7% bite. Solo factor: 7/10. The place was pretty empty when I went, so it felt very comfortable to be there by myself. But it's tiny, so I don't know if it would have that same vibe once it's packed. The bartender was awesome, and very attentive. The seating isn't necessarily ideal for someone who wants to spend hours hanging out there, but it was fine for the time I was there...and there were also other options for places to sit. Also, I saw that they have an outdoor area where you can sit, which I missed on the way in. And I would be remiss to not mention that their bathroom was freakishly clean for a brewery bathroom. I've been to two places over the past few weeks where I walked into the bathroom, saw what was waiting for me, and thought "Fuck it, I'd rather get a kidney stone." Yuck.

Love this place. Staff is great, music is sweet, and the beer is awesome. A few beers they always…read morehave and something different from time to time.

Thirsty robots needs robots!…read more It's Saturday and we head in about 30 minutes after they open. We are going to be at least 12 people. My daughters volleyball team is meeting up for lunch with their families before we head to a local tournament. Now- We go to breweries ALL the time. We haven't really faced this issue before but: they only had 2 people working and had 2 really small ovens. They cannot handle the demand of people or food orders. It took about an hour for us to receive a mac and cheese, a pizza, an order of pierogi's and a quesadilla. My husbands food never hit the table (a chicken, bacon, ranch wrap.) Other families who ordered right after us- it took an hour and 20 minutes to get the food. Pizza- My family said it was ok Pierogi's- (potato & cheese) was there any cheese in it? A lot of potato (pro tip: ask for some liquid cheese served with the pretzels for dipping!) Mac & Cheese- they put nutmeg in it. my opinion: nutmeg doesn't belong in mac & cheese. quesadilla- (cheese) HUGE portion! extra crispy cheese on the edges. I like this style! Then... the line! This is the food ordering, beer ordering and bill pay line. My husband was in line for over 15 minutes to pay the bill. I actually don't even know exactly how long because I had to leave him there to pay while I got the kids to the tournament! It's got a decent location, good size, cool little outdoor area, cool art on the walls and their food was decent but they just can't handle a crowd. Underprepared.
