    Small BBQ chicken pizza
    Allie G.

Pizza Haven never disappoints! We order from here every time I come up to Rindge, and it's stayed delicious and consistent since the first time I had it in 2015. Last night I got a small BBQ chicken pizza with a side of ranch and loved it! Too big to finish in one night but perfect if you want leftovers for the next day. The rest of my group loved their food, as well - all the pizzas and grinders were fantastic, and the chicken parm pasta entree was pretty good too (chicken and garlic bread were great, but the pasta was super mushy). Would and WILL return!

Decent pie in a very unassuming restaurant. Dining area is small but was clean. No beer or alcohol here. Soda fountain was shut down on my visit. There was a big cooler of sodas and teas. Ordered the pepperoni and combination pizzas. Sort of a thin crust style. Didn't skimp on toppings. Also got the antipasto and garden salads -- fresh and tasty. No veteran or military discount.

I was in town for a funeral, decided to get a pizza while I was here. The funeral was OK, the pizza was great -- no Tombstone Pizza for sure! The place seemed busy but they quickly and cheerfully took my order. Price was a little high, but I appreciated that they had a Pepsi fountain but also stocked Coke bottled sodas for those of us who are followers of the Coke Zero. They also didn't try and charge me a dollar for some marinara sauce, which was good. The pizza came out and looked and smelled great. The crust wasn't too thick, tasted crisp and was crunchy, cheese stretched to infinity and the sauce was well balanced and not too sweet or acidic. If I'm ever in the area I'll stop there again, encourage you to do the same!

    Buffalo chicken NOT SPICY SEASONING

First and last time here. $10 for a Caesar salad and there was actual dirt and bugs right on top. Either no one cared or is really oblivious because it was on the top leaf. Clearly they don't wash the lettuce. This was so obvious. On the menu, the chicken is listed as spicy chicken. When I paid, the receipt said Buffalo chicken so I asked the worker specifically because we don't like the Buffalo sauce, but love the spicy breading. He confirmed my question, while on his phone, and then I got my 3 meals all covered in Buffalo sauce. $50 meal gone to waste. From working in a pizza place before; this is so unacceptable...

Not anything close to a good Pizza....

New to Rindge and looked forward to trying Pizza Haven. Disappointment is everything I experienced. Three pizzas and a calzone later. The pizza is not anything close to good (warm, no hot. The crust is none existant). The calzone had little to no ingredients and was well overdone (more like an overcooked pita bread with a little inside. I can't bring myself to try to again because I don't see how they can possibly rise above two stars (I gave one star simply because we didn't wait for the order long). Sorry for the bad review but I need to be honest.

Randomly found this food truck parked in another lot during the off season. Seems like the only…read moresource of information on this place is directly on their website that gets updated maybe twice a year. Haven't found a facebook page or anything else. Waited and kept checking to see when they would open and finally they did in June. Showed up and they only take cash, no meat combo meals, had to be a half rack of ribs, and menu was almost exclusively burgers and fries. So I gave my hopes up and figured this place must not be worth it. Happened to be driving by one day and happened to have cash on me. Figured I'd check it out just to know for certain what I was missing. Just so happened that a meat combo was the "Special" of the day. 1/4 rack and pulled pork which was pretty much all they had for actual "BBQ" stuff. I don't consider burgers part of BBQ. And now I'm looking at their menu online which has been updated and they now serve Brisket on Friday and Saturday nights. And they change up their sides every week. Happened to catch them with Baked Beans and Pasta Salad that day. Ribs were 3 bones for a 1/4 rack. Slathered and char grilled quite a bit, which are 2 things I don't want on ribs. But damn it was good for a charred rib. Meat was as tough as you expect it to be for a rib all charred up but the sauce had a sweet fun heat kick to it. The kind of heat that doesn't burn at all but it feels like it might. Fruity sensation to it too. Other parts were a bit more tender and I think the original pork flavor gets a little lost in these ribs. With the char and the sauce it was hard to find a real good pork flavor but it was still very good. Pulled Pork was exactly how it was supposed to be, not completely torn apart, still big chunks that are soft and easy. Seasoned well, very moist, great pork flavor and seasoning flavor. Exactly the kind of pulled pork I want. Side of sauce wasn't completely necessary but I tried it on the pork. Thick style, I don't think it was the same stuff as on the ribs. But it was sweet and slow and did it's job. Pasta Salad was excellent. This was legit homemade Italian grandma olive oil style. Cut up peppers, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, Fussilie pasta. Flavor and texture made the stuff so easy to eat I could have just face planted myself into it. Beans looked amazing. Obviously some pulled or shredded meat, I want to say brisket. Maple and Brown Sugar flavors hit the tongue instantly, It was crazy. Tiny hint of smokey flavor from the brisket. Pinto beans could have used a tad bit longer in the pot but it wasn't a deal at all, just a preference. Slaw had a great sweet vinegar taste like any good slaw would. Pretty much only cabbage shreds but honestly who can tell the taste between carrots and radish when they've been pickling in the same juice. Slaw was gone before I could even think about it anymore ... so that should tell you something. Surprisingly good food truck. I just hate that it's cash only, I completely understand why, and that the sides change every week and it's not updated anywhere. But I will have to go back and try their burgers and fries and brisket and hotdogs soon.

Sides on our visit included cole slaw, fries, cucumber salad, and baked beans. The half-rack of 8 ribs was generous, meaty, smoky, with a very nice, sweet, southern-style sauce brushed-on and also provided as a bonus dip. While the *flavors* were lovely in the slaw, beans, and BBQ sauce, the cuke salad had very little if any dressing, the beans seemed undercooked, and the ribs were overcooked. Ribs should be fall-off-the-bone tender, and we had to tear at every bone. Mind you, we picked them clean because, again, the flavor was good. But definitely overly dry, indicating a too-hot, too-fast cooking this time out. Easy-to-miss this BBQ trailer tucked into the far leafy corner of White's Sugar House & Farm Stand parking lot just before Route 202 if you're going east on Route 119. There aren't always practical street addresses in this mostly rural area, and the old farm sign is all but buried by the surrounding tree growth in summer. Slow up as you approach the lighted intersection, and keep your eyes peeled for the Old Fitzwilliam Rd street sign, even though it's just the driveway. Despite the dry ribs, we prefer indie places to chains, so we are still glad to have tried it. Southern sauce this good is harder to come by up north.

I was greeted by a very busy parking lot on that Saturday afternoon. Committed to waiting in line for my sweet treat, I was pleasantly surprised to see the crowds were massed around the take out window for food and not ice cream. Great for me but also made me wonder what I was missing out on. It would seem everyone was drawn to the seafood platters here which, had I had a hankering for, looked heaped with appetizing fried morsels. Alas, I diverted to the other set of windows. I was waited on right away after perusing the extensive list of flavors. I was hoping for Coffee Oreo but discovered they were out. Not to worry, they had plain 'ol coffee and I was on my way. A small serving was HUGE! I couldn't finish it all, even having worked up an appetite. The homemade ice cream was creamy and flavorful. Fairly standard though as ice cream goes but the ambiance and experience at the place maintains a higher star rating. Plenty of park benches and picnic tables sprinkle the property. Rolling fields and farmlands surround the establishment. Large parking lot. Ice cream, take out, dine in, and country store all available. I only experienced the ice cream so the rest will be left to my imagination. Fun stop post-hike.

After checking out the Halloween decorations along town streets, I stopped by 21B Bar & Grill on Main Street, which is not affiliated with 21 Bar & Grill in Keene. I did not have a reservation since this was a last minute decision to have dinner here and I took a seat up at the corner bar. I was given menus to look at and I got an ice water to start. I was going to order the Beef Wellington Puffs for an appetizer, but they sold out. I ordered the Blini ($13 plus tax) for an appetizer and the Pumpkin Fettuccine Alfredo ($19 plus tax) for an entrée (special dish). The Blini came out first which were three dark round smaller pancakes topped with smoked salmon and crème fraiche. This starter was pretty good, but it did not resemble the blini in their online picture which had 4 stacked small light colored pancakes and less salmon. The Pumpkin Alfredo with a slice of garlic toast was a good portion of firm cooked fettuccine noodles smothered with a thick creamy pumpkin alfredo sauce (orange color). 1 thoroughly enjoyed this entrée and decided to get dessert, which was a Pumpkin Tiramisu ($10 plus tax) which was a small piece layered with espresso soaked ladyfingers, cool creamy layers topped with whipped cream. The check was presented which was $43.96 with tax and before tip. Overall, the food had was very enjoyable and the staff seemed pleasant. They were asking customers where they were coming from including locals from Jaffrey & Peterborough, folks from across the MA border, and myself driving from Concord after work.
