Grew up on this place and can say the steak and cheese grinder is the GOAT of steak and cheeses. I usually get mine with mushrooms and extra provolone and American. The owners are locals who make you feel as welcome as possible even if the dining in option is limited to a table and chairs inside during the colder months but the center of town has plenty of places to hangout and eat outside during the warmer months. It's a to-go type of spot that has great pizza, fantastic subs, and good fried foods. Salad snob here- I very much appreciate that the romaine is always fresh and not precut and bagged. I do wish they had spinach but most small places do not! Stopped in for a bite, wife got the antipasto, she said it was one of the best that she ever had fresh and loaded with meats and cheese. I got the bbq rib sandwich tasty, sweet bbq very good. Only one set back, just one table to sit down and eat, this place is more for take out, will be back for sure. read more

I've ordered from here a few times. Every time dissatisfied. First time I ordered a calzone and the dough was very undercooked to the point where I had to cook it an additional 30 minutes in my oven. Second time I ordered a meatball sandwich and (when ordering meatballs.. you would expect a ball of meat no?) I got 4 rectangular slabs of dry mystery meat. Doesn't even deserve a one star but that's the lowest, ordered a steak and CHEESE, got no cheese on it.. also ordered a chicken stir fry sub and it was cold but I picked it up 15 minutes after ordering as instructed? I'm just so appalled and embarrassed by the time that I've wasted on this establishment there is such a clear incompetence in the employees that work there and amount of inconsistency between everything I've ever ordered and I've gone several times to complete dissatisfaction. We eat here regularly--about once a month (whenever we don't feel like cooking). The pizza is very good. Excellent crust and decent sauce. It always satisfies. The menu tries to be a bit adventurous (pesto and chicken pizza), but we generally stick to the basics (sausage, black olives, sometimes pepperoni) and are never disappointed. Friendly staff, good service. Take-out only, but there is a picnic table out front and some casual seating inside. A local place but worth a stop if you are driving through New Ipswich. Being a local Ive tried all the pizza shops in the area and this is my go to pizza joint. Even friends and family that have tried their pizza always request this place when they return for a visit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The pizza is very good, crust is delicious with the right amount of sauce and tasty ingredients. Their prices are very fair, the service prompt and friendly. The town is small and there aren't many options for food. While it's nice to have a little place like this, I feel the food quality is inconsistent. We had two great meals when we first moved here, then several less exciting meals. Recently we decided to give them a shot again and we were pleased. It's hit or miss. read more

This place sucks! Every time I order from here something is messed up, but today was a new low. As soon as I opened my sub I saw a long hair and immediately brought it back inside. I asked for my money back and was refused. The girl behind the counter was only authorized to give me store credit and after calling the manager, who was outside avoiding the situation, she still refused to give me my cash back. In the end I was out $7 and didn't have anything to eat! I will never order anything from here again but if you do, you might want to tell them to hold the hair. We lived four houses down from Pizza Haven and the only thing that I really liked were their fried mushrooms. Taste wise I preferred NI House of Pizza up the road. The owner was always very nice and the prices were reasonable. Overall it was a good place to pick up a quick bite. read more

If you want a perfect Pizza, awesome Subs nice crispy fries this is the place to go. The thing that tops it for me is anything fried you order they put it in a paper bag so it won't get soggy... I've had many meals there every Sunday night the family picks Pizza Haven too. read more

Everytime we order here they not only take forever to make the food but they always mess something up. They have normaly like 6 people working there and somehow it still takes like 40 or more minutes for food. Unfortunately its the closest pizza place. read more

When I walked in, a teen girl was trying to clean the counter with a disgusting rag, she stopped to take my order, then my money, then she went out back & I watched her grap my sub roll, cut it & started making my sub. I stopped her & pointed out she had not washed her hands, she just looked at my like she had no idea why I would say that. So this is my local Pizza place that is in the small town of New Ipswich. The food and pricing are very good, but the people idk..... The owner (idk his name but he has been working there for a while now) is the only one that actually is friendly and talks to you. Other than that its just school kids looking for another way to get money without any effort. Most kids who work there are Finnish (like the rest of the town) and they don't even look at you. They're not friendly (as none of them were when I went to school back in the day) and not sociable. One kid comes out and he only looks at my for a split second and then stares into his iPhone and asks what I want. I said what I wanted to order and he said okay and gave me a number so I could be called to let know when my food was ready. All this and still no one looked at me. Some of the kids I knew from High School others not so much. Its just the same old same old, Finnish kids without any effort to look you in the face and make conversation. I have no idea if they're embarrassed or scared, but it was certainly snobby and I'm pretty sure there was nothing wrong with the way I looked, since everything was fine. not only did they do this to me, but to other people as well. I was waiting at one of (and the only) table and chair available in that small shack and an old couple came in, along with a young adult my age who had ordered.
