What a cute little place nestled in downtown Keene. Great atmosphere and the food was delish. Coffee was also very good. We were served quickly and our waitress was the nicest person ever. Came back many times to make sure we (my boys and I) were good and was very accommodating to our needs (which we were needy that day). Would 100% come back here.

Went to Yellow Belle Cafe to try something new in the Keene area for breakfast on a Sunday. Yellow Belle Cafe is a newer spot easily found on Main Street in Keene, with a towards back of cafe coffee/bakery case for a quick stop in and go option and the main space devoted to table service seating. I had the build your own omelet with home fries, bacon and sourdough toast which was well cooked, filling and better than your average diner/breakfast spot. My wife had one of their signature dishes, Huevos Rancheros which was flavorful, though a bit spicy for her being someone that tends to go the mild level route (although I liked it as I love some heat). Rest of crew had some fruit, an egg and blueberry pancakes and all said their food was good. We had hot drip coffee, which was decent, but came in the worlds smallest cups and it wasn't clear upon ordering whether it was free refills for your $4 (which it was) and we had a few refills through the meal by our server- I would have drank more. Food came out with reasonable wait-they were busy. Overall impressions: 1) cuter cafe with variety of good breakfast (and brunch) options offering espresso, cold brew, baked goods, etc and better ingredients, all of which tastes fresh. 2) coffee mugs are way too small and due to this you are often left without coffee until server refills- would love to see a bigger standard size. 3) Cost-For 4 people with one of our party it was about $80 plus tip, which is steep considering portions, what was ordered and many add ons cost extra. If they adjusted down some of their items cost it could mean more people returning more frequently to be a bit more affordable, but clearly they are busy despite this. Bottom line is Yellow Belle Cafe is a nice addition to Keene and we'll be back, just not as often as we'd like due to cost.

Delightful atmosphere, food was good, some of the best hollandaise sauce I've had in a very long time! The Brunch Bestie drink was very juicy, not really well balanced, but if someone is looking more for a juicy than boozy drink, this one is for you! The service, even though there was only one server, was still good!

Farmer's breakfast is delicious. Omelette's are great too. We liked everything so much we went back for coffee and donuts. We sat at the bar and Megan was the server/bar tender. She was terrific. We came back and Sadie took care of us. The atmosphere is pleasant and clean. Hope this business continues to thrive.

A well-lit cafe interior with customers seated at tables, some engaged in conversation, and a bar area on the left side.

They are presently open for dinner 5 nights a week and weekend brunch service, 10am to 2:30pm. The place has the main bar area with seating and table seating on the left side and separate dining rooms to the right side. The bar offers 8 draft beers, wine list, cocktails, digestifs, and non-alcoholic drinks. The food menu offers a selection of appetizers, salads, burgers, steak frites, pasta dishes, risotto, seafood, chicken dishes, and desserts. The weekend brunch selections also include stuffed French toast, omelettes, benedicts (crab cake & lobster), croque madame, eggs & bacon, steak sandwich, & a dry aged burger. The prices are moderate high. I stopped by here around 1:50pm for brunch. I headed to the bar and took a seat. I was informed the kitchen was closing at 2pm, dining room/bar closes at 2:30pm and reopens at 5pm for dinner service. I promptly got my food order in, choosing regular food items also on the dinner menu. For a starter, the Steamed Mussels ($16 plus tax) had 20 steamed mussels with slices of Spanish dry cured chorizo, garlic, oven cured tomato in a savory hot broth, with 3 slices of charred soirdough bread slices to dip. For an entree, the Braised Short Rib Cavatelli ($24 plus tax) was a good portion of soft cooked cavatelli, tender lean pieces of short rib, mushrooms, truffle, creme fraiche. The sauce and flavors were similar to a stroganoff type dish, pretty good overall. I did request a box for the cavatelli to eat later. Overall, the food was pretty good and freshly prepared. The service was slightly rushed receiving my food together at the same time (I actually prefer this) and check presented before I was done, which came out to $43.40 with tax and before tip. I would stop by again for brunch so I could get the breakfast items.

One of a kind restaurant for sure. Cloth lining bacon's signature dish of David Burke. It Is very mouthwatering and activated my palate for first course. AKA droolingg while the staffs torching the bacon. Wings and Rings are very unique. The calamari rings are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside (NOT RUBBERY). Wings glazed are the mixture of sweet, savory, and tad bit of spicy. BEST mussels I've ever had. Plum and juicy in a buttery bursting flavor broth. Crispy skin salmon. I usually only eat raw salmon but I enjoy crispy salmon skin on top of ratatouille whole lot. Wild mushrooms risotto is wicked creamy and full of flavor and the crunchy of pepita (pumpkin seeds?) just elevates the dish, along with sweet eggplant for finishing touch. it is so smooth. Desserts are delicious with Flourless chocolate cake and Cinnamon roll cake with vanilla ice cream and caramel drizzle. I am so glad to have such a great french/artisan restaurant in New Hampshire. I can't forget about Eliza for great service. And theirs raspberry lemonade is so refreshing with fresh raspberry for some acidic drink. I masked the price from the receipt because it well-worth the money.

I nod at the taps and ask for a 603 and an Allagash. One of the bartenders, Emily, pours an Allagash, and then goes off to a fridge and gets a 603 Seltzer. Whatever, I don't want to be difficult so I just take the seltzer, and it was pretty good. 30 minutes later after I've finished my first drink, I go back to the bar and ask the same bartender for a Switchback. She then told me I had to close my tab. It was only 9:30, but I gave her the benefit of the doubt and closed my tab as requested. I asked her after why she made me close my tab, and she said "I'm not going to give you another Switchback". My tab had no Switchbacks on it, just an Allagash and a seltzer, so I don't know where she got "another Switchback" from. I said "Excuse me?", and she told me she wasn't comfortable serving me because she thought I was drunk. I wasn't going to stand there and argue with her, so I said "alright", told my friends and wife, and waited for them to finish their drinks and left. Right after we left, a crowd of at least a dozen people barreled out of the door and some of them fought each other. Three police cruisers pulled up before we were out of sight. It seems like those guys were never cut off, but I was after a seltzer. Feel free to check the Keene Police report on that, but as far as The Pour House, go there if you want confused and uptight bartenders, and loose and violent patrons.
