Located on Emerald Street in Keene is a fun cafe featuring a variety of drinks and food. We visited on a Saturday around lunch time and the line to order was long and the tables were all full, but we decided to wait anyway. The line moved fairly quickly. My family and I order an açaí bowl, salad with chicken and a Portabella Rice bowl along with an Italian soda, lemonade and ice tea. The seating area has a variety of couches, tables and chairs along with a craft area. The staff were very friendly. The food was fresh and flavorful. This was probably one of the best rice bowls I have had. It seemed like a popular hangout spot for Keene State Students. I will absolutely be retiring to Brewbakers. read more

Ordered five breakfast sandwiches this morning for our family. They did not give us the right meats on the sandwiches. One sandwich had a half a slice of ham for the ham on it. The sandwich that was supposed to have short ribs had three shreds of short ribs. The bread was so dry and not buttered that you couldn't even eat it. The edge of the toast were burnt on one and one was missing ingredients that had been added. For $56 it was a disaster. read more

Wow! Brewbakers has transformed over the years! If you are in town after a long absence, it's time to meet the new Brewbies. They still have great coffee, but they are now located in a big space on emerald Street(the old blueberry fields spot, I think) and they are using it to its best potential. They have coffee, beer, excellent sandwiches and baked goodies, loads of seating, a take out window, a stage for events, a makerspace and retail. And if still feels like a cute community coffee shop. They had a community craft fair last weekend. The staff are always kind. The drinks and food come out at a reasonable pace to the crowd size. A great asset to the Keene area. It has a small lot against the building and a much larger shared lot across the street as well as street parking. Easy to get to. Lots to enjoy. Still looking forward to some day coming to an evening event. Will keep you all updated out there in yelp land. read more

Nice multipurpose space where you can have coffee, eat and also enjoy live events. The coffee is very good. In regard to the food, you can enjoy breakfast items, sandwiches, salads, bowls, pastries. Coffee is very good and the fare is acceptable if small portions. It is also a bit on the expensive side, which is kind of surprising because its main clientele are people from the nearby Keene State College. Definitely a liberal Vibe, but the scenery is nice and the coffee very good. Parking is on street and if you have the right app it's fairly easy to find nearby spots. read more

Brewbakers is by far my favorite place in Keene. Relaxed atmosphere, great caffeinated (and non) drinks, food (baked goods, salads/sandwiches/small plates with vegetarian and vegan options), fast service. They also have live performances that looked interesting, and sell used vinyl. Parking can be a challenge during the day, although later in the day it wasn't much of an issue. Unlike usual coffee shops, Brewbakers is open until 7pm. read more

What I like: the cinnamon crullers. Coffee and breakfast sandwiches. I also like the gal who wears super interesting eye makeup and always surprises me with a new design. WhatI don't like: when the person taking orders from folks in Line doesn't try to hurry along someone having a 15-minute conversation over a simple breakfast sandwich order while we're ten people deep. I waited for literally 12 minutes to order two crullers while this woman in front of me and six others go on discussing her breakfast sandwich order and coffee. Then she took forever to figure out how to pay with a debit card. Really? I think you need to have some common sense to tell someone there's other people who are waiting to place their order. It took all that time for someone to go to the other register to start taking orders. That woman still was carrying on while I moved to the new ordering window. Just saying. A busy little spot that just so happened to be serving up pretty much everything I like to eat! My husband ordered a chèvre/olive toast on sourdough (he was quite pleased!) and I ordered a veggie brunch bowl. The tomatoes in my brunch bowl were the most flavorful tomatoes I've ever had. My Oma and I came here for lunch. She was not impressed. Though we thought it was a cute setting, great energy when you walk in; People are sitting at tables on laptops, taking calls, hanging out on the couch; It reminds me of something you'd see in NY or Boston! 3 stars because my Oma and I ordered a similar sandwich ($12) each and they both came out wrong. It's my first time here, and I brought my Oma since it has great reviews, but I took her feedback into consideration as I wrote this review. Coffee was alright, not the best, but it will do! Oma had an iced matcha. She didn't finish her drink, so I'm not sure if she enjoyed it. Next time if my experience is better than today, I will definitely increase the rating on this review but it's a shame. I had high hopes for this spot but maybe it was just one of those days. Between minimal parking, sometimes long lines, and a long wait for your order, it can be quite the trip. However, if you have the time, it is well worth the wait! A lot of reviews say the staff is unfriendly and rude. I've definitely experienced a couple rude staff members, but most of the staff is delightful. The Powerbowl is to die for! I went to brewbakers when I was in college when it was a little tiny place on Main Street. This is the best little coffee spot ever! I only visit Keene to teach every 3 months or so at Antioch. I come from CA and literally get happier and happier the closer I get to Brewbakers. The best part is the baked goods! I met Emma, one of the bakers, and must say her talent is unmatched! The chocolate chip cookies are unlike anything I have EVER had before. I bring home a dozen with me now every time for my family. Sometimes they are not in the case so definitely ask if there are any baked. These are the best cookies in the world!!! Where do I begin... the staff is sensational, the drinks are perfectly made, and the donuts/bakery items are out of this world! I come here regularly for my coffee fix and I am pleased to say, even with my complex order, my drink is made to perfection each and every time. I am greeted with a smile even when the place is packed and with a Line out the door. The old fashioned donut is a must try along with the vegan/gluten free chocolate chip cookies! Great food! I had a fantastic and epic avocado toast that I'm still thinking about. The space is great, plenty of room, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The only reason I'm taking off a star is because it took awhile to get our food, (I'm not sure if this is due to short staffing post covid or if there is a small kitchen) and because parking was pretty tricky. Either way, it's worth the wait but maybe try somewhere else if you are in a hurry. We will definitely be back the next time we are in town! read more
