There aren't a ton of options for breakfast in the area but the reviews for this business were pretty good. The pictures were also appealing. We ordered 2 omelets and they weren't what we expected. The meat lovers omelet just had the meat added between the folded eggs. The Italian omelet was pretty much the same. The hash browns were pretty decent but my favorite was the sour dough toast. They make their own bread and it's good. Having said that....potatoes so so, small serving, one small piece of ham....toast and eggs fine. My breakfast sandwich was hard, dry and MEH. Found this restaurant by accident. It was everything the name says it's going to be... Delightfully delicious. We had the eggs Benedict, blueberry pancakes, Crispy bacon, and the French toast was delightful. Not to mention the Vermont liquid gold!! We put a splash of the liquid gold in our coffee and boom!! If you're looking for fast, try a drive-thru. If you're looking for a decent breakfast place, this is it. We bring two of our three young grandchildren here, and they let us order family style to split up amongst all of us. (Two adult full orders, extra plates, extra drinks.) They have activity/coloring books and a small assortment of toys to keep the kids entertained. They kept my husband's coffee cup full and even offered me more hot water for my tea. The pancakes are huge and the eggs are fresh, they offer quite an assortment of meats with their country breakfast and allow substitutions. Excellent portions, we always end up not being able to finish everything. The home fries are standard fare, I prefer mine with onion, but often forget to ask. Staff are friendly and the bathroom is clean. Quirky tablecloths complete the somewhat lacking direction of the decor. Kids love to go there and aside from our ever-shrinking pocketbook, we love going too. (Prices are affordable.) read more

This morning while driving through Brattleboro this little restaurant caught the corner of my eye and I decided to give it a try. When walking in I was warmly greeted by the waitress who let me know that they do both sit down and take out meals. I decided to grab some pancakes and a coffee to go. I was surprised at the speed in which they were able to take my order and get me out the door. I don't believe that I was there for more than 5 minutes. When I got to the office I was amazed at the size of the pancakes. A stack of three was able to feel me and two coworkers! The coffee was delicious, and for the price I paid, I can't wait to go back. This restaurant has a small restaurant area as well as a bakery. All the items they had out looked delicious. They had some decorated cupcakes which looked amazing as well as muffins and pastries which looked phenomenal. As I was waiting for my food at the restaurant I overheard someone talking about how delicious these pastries are. The final fun fact about this restaurant is that they have an area near the front door that sells unique knitted hats and homemade jam. This restaurant is definitely a family friendly spot where you can get an incredible meal for an incredible deal! read more

Check about an hour to get our breakfast, even with them putting a Russian after we were concerned at the 45 minute mark. Service was decent otherwise, coffee good, food did taste good. my wife's order came wrong, go figure, and the cook actually had the gall to come out and argue with us about it, trying to point out that was cheese on her sandwich, when I was clearly no cheese. that alone, is our only enjoyment at this restaurant. read more

Delightfully Delicious has been open since April or so, but I finally stopped in with my mom when she was visiting last week. It doesn't look like much--don't go for the ambiance--but then your food comes, and it's great! Mom's eggs and bacon were delicious (she talked about the bacon for a while afterwards). My portobello bomber was so good I ordered the asiago/roast beef to go for my hubby, and we went back the next week and got the exact same order again, plus a good greek salad and a giant slice of tasty, tasty butterscotch pie. The portobello bomber comes with huge potato chips that have to be homemade, and their mixed fries (sweet potato and regular) are thick and delicious. The rest of their baked good look amazing, but I haven't tried them yet, so I can only report that I plan on trying them all... It's not cutesy or artsy or themed or any of the things most Brattleboro restaurants are or try to be. It's just good, diner-style food, made well, served hot. It has a more creative menu than most diners, with better vegetarian options (as usual, not a lot happening for the vegans out there). The staff are friendly, service is quick, and it certainly feels and smells like it's kept clean, which is always something I notice. The upshot? The gentleman who waited on us was genuinely apologetic. It also appeared that they were teaching their children/grandchildren some responsibility by having them assist with waiting tables, bussing tables, answering customer questions, etc. I love that! Menu item I ordered was misprinted said it came with something it didn't. So after entering, being seated and looking over the menu I spied, Homemade Hash, my favorite! The order arrived promptly, the server was very attentive, but the hash was as canned as only Hormel can do. The taste gave the secret away, salty, metallic. Closer inspection found the tiny square potatoes that no human hand can produce. If I ever go back I will avoid the hash and anything with Hollandaise. This is a non-trendy, casual, unassuming place with decent food and good service for a decent price. Tucked into a small shopping center next to a laundromat you could miss it if you're not careful when driving south on Putney Rd. On the morning we were there for breakfast (based on Yelp recommendations) there was only one woman who was manning the cash register, taking orders, serving, and busing 7 full tables. She managed all this single handedly while keeping her cool, being a bit jovial with the customers, and not loosing a smile; the woman was a machine! Based on this, service was outstanding... she was outstanding! We both had the blueberry pancakes, which were very tasty... in fact I'd say they almost tasted like flat blueberry muffins... they where very yummy and should not be missed. I also had the corned beef hash with two eggs over medium. The eggs were done right (often places don't get that right) and though the corned beef hash was from a can (yeah the menu says "home grilled" not "home made", there is a difference), it was still very good. Coffee was pretty good too... not watery and with a good flavor. The menu has your average breakfast fare, a handful of omelettes to choose from (not a big selection), two kinds of pancakes, blueberry and plain (with what tasted like real maple syrup, it is Vermont after all!), breakfast sandwiches, a few different eggs benedicts, and some other usual dishes; nothing exceptional or unique. All in all the food was good, the pricing decent, and the service (on this day when they were short one person) was exceptional. We will definitely go back when we are in the area. read more

We stopped at Cumberland Farms otw to having our car serviced at the Auto Mall and the owner was very nice in allowing us to enjoy our outside coffee with our meals. The corned beef is canned, but the toast is very thick. I asked about a sub for the home fries and the waitress did give me some options, but in the end the home fries were really good! read more
