So, I traveled 1 1/2 hrs to arrive here. Service was great, everything explained to a tee! Although I was after bbq, it was more than I could enjoy in house. So I had this burger, and Mac and cheese with those Texas Twinkies for an app. Both very good, although my Twinkies had zero heat from the jalapeños. Still worth the go! Now, I took bbq home, ribs and brisket, and two types of sauce. Not a huge fan of dry rub ribs, but I have to say, even reheated two days later, still awesome with some sauce, or without. Now 4 days later I got to the brisket. Still good! I'm sure I could have added some yum if I had the bbq fresh. Not a complaint to be had. Nice setting, clean, and I'll be back!

Hostess advised there was a half hour wait, we said no problem. 5 minutes later, called me to say there was room! We sat at a table right in the middle. We could see how busy they were on a Friday night! Ordered a pulled pork sandwich and hubby got the hot dog with brisket chili sauce. It took a while, but I could see them working hard. The hostess not only greeted people, but also brought food to the table. The waitress was also running around making sure everyone had their drinks and took their orders. At one point, lost my napkin and she quickly picked it up and brought me a whole bunch more. When the food came out, you knew it was special. My pulled pork was melt-in-your mouth Good! The coleslaw tasted homemade and the bun was delicious too. My husband's hot dog was very good and tasty, he said. He was very happy. We made room for dessert. Shared a key lime pie which also was delicious. Overall, this place was a winner. Great staff and great food. Can't get better than that.

We were in town for a ski trip and found this place on Google. Tried walking in around 8 PM but there were no seats. Funny enough, there was an empty table, but they didn't have enough chairs for the four of us--they only keep exactly the number of chairs for each table, not a single extra one, so they couldn't seat us. The restaurant is pretty new with a clean, modern design. Compared to most of the older, more worn-out spots in the area, this place feels fresh and brand new. When we finally got seated, they were out of their famous brisket--super disappointing since that's what we came for. We all ended up getting pulled pork instead, which turned out to be really good. Each table gets a basket of BBQ sauces, and they were all solid. My favorites were the house sauce and the North Carolina one--both went perfectly with the pork. For appetizers, we got the shrimp cocktail. It was grilled, but served cold--tasted like it had been frozen before. Oddly enough, the smoky charcoal flavor with that cold texture worked surprisingly well. We also tried the French onion soup. It was flavorful but way too salty for my taste. Overall, a good spot in the area for a solid meal.

Brisket tray, added pulled pork served with cornbread, pickles, coleslaw & hand cut fries

This place definitely hit the spot. My husband and I had an early dinner. Cozy and clean place. Andrew was our server and was really friendly. Drinks were good, I had a moscow mule and my husband had a stella. For appetizer, we ordered the street corn dip. Wow this was very tasty, I couldn't stop eating it. We shared the brisket tray and added pulled pork, it's served with cornbread, pickles, coleslaw & a choice of hand cut fries or smoked gouda mac & cheese. Food was so delicious and cooked to perfection. The hand cut fries were nice and crispy. There were also 8 different sauces, our favorite was the Alabama white sauce and my husband also enjoyed the house bbq sauce. The s'mores were out of this world. Definitely make room for dessert. We look forward to coming back to try everything else. This place will definitely be on my list every time I visit Vermont.

Decent and abundant bbq in the mt snow area. They easily accommodated our table of 6 and we all had a blast trying the different sauces. Could see this being a good spot for takeout given how small the interior is, especially if you're on a group trip like we were

Best BBQ we've ever had! Absolutely incredible spot. Service was too notch and food was out of this world.

Brisket Chili

Hubby and I stopped by one day after snowboarding at Mt Snow. Not a big place but they served up some delicious barbecue! We order the Brisket Chili, Smoked Wings, and Brisket & Ribs Platter. Tender and flavorful meat, everything was exceed our expectation! It's definitely a joint we would revisit on our next ski trip up here.

They were Featured Each Week At That Time At The Wilmington Inn For Their "Wicked Wednesday" Events & They Always Got Rave Reviews. Each Week Mr Ruble Would Change Up The Menu With New & Delicious surprises with flavors and tastes from all Around the globe. And each Time I Went, The Food Was perfection. It wasn't long before Brandon Ruble Was The Talk Of The Town and Over the last two years or so, he went on to purchase a food truck for "Nomad Chefs" & Everybody Loves It. And Not long ago, I heard he had a brand new Food Truck & Started A Whole New Brand Called "The Smokehouse". They are currently at the River Valley Market & I'd been dying to go but kept missing it for one reason or the other, but last week I got there at just the right time. I even Got A Chance To Meet Brandon Ruble himself & He Was Just As Sweet As He Is Talented. It's easy to see how hard he works & How Well. A true master at what he does. A seasoned professional. Dan Took my order and he was awesome. Funny, sweet & Very Accommodating. His sweet tea was out of this world & Some of the best I've ever had. I Ordered the Brisket with Sides Of Coleslaw, Baked Beans & Homemade Cornbread. I Was Hesitant to order the brisket as my recent experiences doing so at other establishments didn't turn out so well. It takes a special touch to get brisket just right and not over or under cooked. Usually people miss the mark one way or the other. But The minute I opened my to-go box, I knew this wouldn't be the same. You could literally see how juicy it was & The meat was so tender it was almost falling apart In Your Mouth. To say that it was perfection would be an understatement. And the Flavor? Sooooo delectable. Rich & Full Bodied. Just perfect. Holy smokes was that delicious ( No Pun Intended). This was hands down The best brisket I've Ever had in all my life and I'm no spring chicken. Theres such a huge difference in the taste when its made by someone who is a true artist. Someone who puts thought, and time into all of the dishes that he adds to his menu. Someone like Brandon Ruble. I would highly recommend this food cart 100%. It Is Without A Doubt, The Best & Most Delicious Meal You'll Find & even The Fairest Price. Not Only Will You Love It, You Will Leave Full And Happy & You'll want to come back & So will your whole family. As You Eat Or Wait For Your To-Go Order, You'll Smell The Two Extra Large Smokers Going The Whole Time. The menu has something For Everyone, including Chicken Wings, Burgers, Fries & Even Hush Puppies. The main attraction though is the smoked platter. You choose your meat , IE Brisket, Pork Etc & pick two side dishes. No matter what you pick it'll be delicious. You will be very happy. I guarantee it. I went back a few days later with a friend of mine who's usually the hardest critic and doesn't like to to try new things. He sticks with the places he knows and goes there habitually. But even he went crazy over "The Smokehouse". His quote exactly was "This Is Better Than Any Place In Town". And THAT is the hugest statement of all in a place like vermont where there's delicious food everywhere. I highly recommend "The Smokehouse" Food Cart, In Addition to The "Nomad Chef's" Food Cart & Or Anything Else Brandon Ruble Puts his hands on. This man is absolutely gifted. The meal that I Had At "The Smokehouse" is only one of the many incredible creations that we've all come to know & expect from Mr Ruble When He Puts His name on Something. As far as I can see, there's nothing this man can't do. 5 stars

The food came out quickly and was delicious, and the service was friendly and efficient. You can tell this is a place that's well run and cares about its customers. This little New England restaurant, though, still had first-come, first-serve seating, and parking lot a bit crowded but found a spot at a corner to park. They originally had a 2hr wait for 14 ppl (we had a few tables ahead of us) but ended up giving us two tables if we were ok to cram together, which we were - super grateful for that! Didn't realize it before we went, but this shop was Kelly Clark's parents' restaurant, and the memorabilia was cool. Cheap beers and drinks, wings were ok (wings needed to be crispier and have more spicy buffalo sauce, the bbq version was just ok). The chowder was thinner compared to Anchor Seafood down the way, and the tuna nachos were ok (on light puffed rice chips w/ some seaweed salad to the side, mayo or similar across the top could've been better with some yuzu or ponzu sauce instead). Fried pickles were large and great, though, as were the fried cheese and pretzels. The truffle cheese fries were heavy but still needed more cheese and table didn't enjoy it as much. St. Louis Ribs were ok, but the Short Rib Stroganoff and the Lobster Mac N' Cheese were table favorites - and warmed up really well the next day with the generous portion helping balance the cost as it was basically two meals in one. Game and fun bathroom signs in the waiting area upfront. Staffers were busy but definitely worked to satisfy our tables' orders and needs and kept cheery while at it. Very tight seating spaces so make a note if you're on the bigger side, it may not be as comfortable depending on the seat you get. A bit spendier (there's food tax, LWB tax, and town tax...) but no credit card surcharge. Overall I'm giving this a 4 star b/c of the service. Food I've had better, but service was very helpful.

Most of their menu is Bao Buns, Steamed Buns, Rice Bowls, Ramen, or Banh Mi. We were going on a local hike nearby and popped here for lunch. The bao buns are good (we got the spicy chicken avocado bun), but the banh mi was absolutely delicious. The bread they use feels bakery fresh, and adds to the overall taste of the made-to-order bahn mi, made with all the usual banh mi vegetable toppings and sauces. Couple of things to keep in mind: - seating is outdoors on picnic tables. so if the weather isn't great, it's probably better for a quick pick up than dining "in" - there are no public bathrooms inside the market or otherwise. there is only one singular portapotty nearby in the parking lot. Since we knew this coming in more or less, considering that it's a food truck, I'm leaving a 5-star review for the unique flavors and freshness of the food varieties, as well as the value and service provided.

It keeps the vibe lively without feeling like a chaotic playground, and it's a great way to kill time while waiting for a table or hanging out after a day on the slopes. The Food We sampled a bit of everything, and for a brand-new kitchen, they are already hitting their stride: The Wings: These were the standout. Crispy skin, juicy interior, and the sauces actually have some personality. Definitely get an order for the table. Roasted Chicken: This is the ultimate comfort dish. The fire roasted meatballs were okay I definitely wouldn't order them again. The nachos are an absolute must as a share. They came out on a giant pizza tray and we add chili for extra protein! I was impressed our party was able to eat everything. Next we ordered our main courses. I ordered the baby beet salad which was nice and light with goat cheese pecans and beets which I absolutely love. My boyfriend ordered the corned beef Reuben which was delicious. His only complaint were his fries came out ice cold somehow but the sandwich was hot. The rest of our party orders buffalo chicken wings which were moist and had a nice spicy kick. For the amount of food and drinks we ordered our bill was around $200 with tip which was very reasonable being so close to Mount snow. All three are outstanding, but I like Maple the best. There's just a hint of maple, which adds a hint of a maple/caramel that accentuates the creaminess of the vanilla.
