After a long day of skiing we were too tired to go out, so we ordered from Honeypie! Our Airbnb host recommended this place but honestly it was the Yelp reviews that sold me on it-- i had to try their dessert! Our group ordered a bunch of burgers and took heed of some reviewers' warnings-- the burgers are kinda small so you'll want a double or a whole other burger if you're hungry! For me, they were just the right size to satisfy! I got the sLAMBer burger which was SO GOOD, such an amazing mix of flavors that I couldn't stop gushing about how good it was! I heard similar sounds of approval from friends enjoying their burgers (the jam one was really popular in our group). Fries weren't spectacular but when you want fries, a GOOD fry is all you need. Now the honey pie! 3 of us ordered a slice and I think everyone enjoyed it! It's a sweet baked good unlike anything I've really had before and the salt flakes on top help to cut the sweetness. It was a bit too sweet for me to eat on my own in one sitting but I still liked it! I wish they delivered but we didnt mind picking up the order since it was only 6 min away by car! What a giant waste of time. Came here for a nice meal with the kids. The menu looked really alluring and we love pie. So, we decided to stop by...only to find out that the eatery has no high chairs or changing tables in the bathroom. What am I suppose to do with my baby? Put her on the floor to change her and hold her while eating? The stupidity is astonishing. Listen nowadays, you need more than just half smiling staff and good pie. You need to actually put an effort in to the food you make and the services you offer..and even then you might not make it. So, serving my kid burnt grilled cheese and then trying to hide it by flipping the sandwich the other way...you're lucky I was exhausted and didn't complain. I am complaining now that I have finished eating and saw my kid barely ate her sandwich because it was too tough. We ordered the Moroccan hotdog which barely had any flavor, the slaw was nice though. The Papi was actually good but the bread was over fried and therefore too crunchy. The grilled cheese was horrendous. The honey pie was absolutely delicious. I would have bought more if I wasn't so mad about everything else. The canned wine didn't even take the edge off. The kicker was when I asked the cashier for a take out box, she told me my options were either a coffee box holder (open mini box) and/or a brown bag. What the heck? It's a local place for us and every time we think to go our timing is off. It was worth the wait. We got burger, fries, the cauliflower side dish and drinks to go. Fries were crisp, the shoestring variety and seasoned lightly - good start. The burgers were cooked just right, on the smaller side for a burger joint and on a potato bun. We got the caramelized, onions, Swiss, bacon and special sauce and devoured them. The cauliflower side dish was a real treat - tasty and seasoned well. We would have loved to get a shake or dessert but we were stuffed ! Parking was full and extended across the whole front of the place and in the back lot as well. It was a little chilly for the outdoor seating so we hung out in the car with the dog and ate in the car. We would definitely go back again. Next time we want to try the sausages. read more

Non meat eaters, my son and I shared the veggie burger and the unique and tasty sandwich of beets, cheese, fried egg, and other assorted veggies. The burger was fine, the sandwich I'd order again. The fries were crispy and salty, but just missed. The soft serve vanilla -- don't miss it. Everything was made fresh and was delicious starting with their Vietnamese salad to the juicy burgers, the grilled cheese and beets. For about two years, I've wanted to visit Honeypie whenever we stay at a family member's Mt. Snow area house. I first saw Honeypie when I was buying craft beer across the street, and I could just tell that it would be good. The way it resembles a converted gas station like some of the best BBQ places. The almost always full picnic tables. The cool cursive font of "Honeypie". I have to say, I nailed that call. Honeypie serves food including burgers, fusion sausages (Spaniard, Moroccan, Vietnamese, etc.), sandwiches and shakes. There is some limited inside seating, but most people get takeout or eat outside. Service was friendly and pretty efficient. My wife, son and I loved our meals. My "Vermont as Funk Burger" had two smash burgers, a fried egg, Bibb style lettuce, sautéed mushrooms, tomato and "Woodcock Farm Timberdoodle Cheese". All the ingredients were high quality and the burger was great. I can tell this was an intentional style choice, but the one change I would make would be to use a larger bun than the small Martin's Potato Bun, which struggled to contain the ingredients. The shoestring fries were good crispy. My Black and White Shake was very good, although I think my son won the Shake war with his Strawberry. The cauliflower dish with sliced jalapeños, cilantro and lime was good and a reasonably healthy option. My son loved his cheeseburger and my wife loved her Veggie Bean Burger. I look forward to returning to Honeypie when I'm in the Mt. Snow/Stratton area. I'm not sure if they close for part of the year and I would recommend checking before you drive there. Went to Honeypie for the second time last weekend. Love this gem! Very popular sandwich spot in the Stratton Mountain area. Lots of people picking up orders. We chose to eat there both times. The restaurant has a few tables and some stools by the window. It's sparsely decorated, but very clean and welcoming. There is much more seating outside for nicer weather. This time I had the Joey (a grilled Pork nitrate free Hot Dog on a toasted potato bun). I added caramelized onions. Very good! I'm happy to say that there are 4 draught beers available-I had a brown ale from Big Tree that was delicious. There is beer in cans, as well. My sister had a Pesto Grilled Cheese sandwich that she enjoyed. We shared fresh-cut French fries that were cooked perfectly. The portion was generous and we didn't finish them. My sister got a Maple Milkshake and I would be lying if I didn't say that she raved about this shake for the rest of the weekend! We did have to wait awhile for our food to come out, so if you're in a rush, you may consider calling your order. The employees are super friendly and helpful. We will be back, for sure. read more

I don't normal pan a restaurant, but they were rude and the food wasn't good...and over priced. You can stop reading now and find somewhere else or you can hear the details if you need to be convinced to go try better Vermont food- because there are great places- this isn't one of them. First off 3 burgers, shakes, fries and the tip before you get the food we're just about $100. I've had cheaper meals on the slopes. You'd expect decent food right? Not here! The shakes weren't even frozen- like thick flavored milk for $8.50 each. The burgers- my 15 year old said he thought that ski slope burgers or even McDonalds were better. These were greasy and small. The lamb burger hardly tasted of lamb- I wonder if they gave me the wrong patties. Now the service. The malt shake is swirled chocolate but nowhere on their website does it say this. So when they handed it to me I said, that's not what we wanted and the manager said - well that's what it says on our site. When I showed her she said "so what! this is the way we do it you'll have to buy another one." She was so rude through both exchanges and just wanted me to leave, she must have figured I was a tourist she wouldn't see twice. The worst part- I'd already tipped because that's what they make you do it-even for to-go food. She wouldn't exchange it and the shake really was terrible. Come to this place only if you want to be insulted, over pay for food and consume poorly cooked crud marketed as better than it is. I went in with so much optimism for this place, and it let me down; and they were rude and mean. Very un-Vermont. I bet I won't hear from an owner or a competent manager. Without knowing a thing about their menu, we went to Honeypie with a group of omnivorous friends who had dined there in the past and approved. We were optimistic, but realistic in our expectations. The menu lacks anything plant based without alteration. We started with as close as we could get with the veggie burger, a side of fries and a Shacksbury cider for each of us. We omitted the tzatziki, Cabot cheddar and potato bun from the burger, as they all included animal products. We were able to sub the bun with Grilled Earth Sky Time's Vönder Bread. We added Kimchi, Hot Peppers and Carmelized Onions to each sandwich, thinking we might be able to simply substitute them for the sauce and cheese, but we were charged $1.50 each for the Kimchi and Hot Peppers, 50 cents more for each topping than what is advertised on their menu. The additions were scanty. I added 2 little pouches of salt and 2 of black pepper to the burger for flavor. The fries were shoestring which was a nice surprise. The place does have a cool vibe. Word has it that it's a converted gas station. There was plenty of outdoor seating which made it dog friendly, a bonus as our companions had three dogs with them. There was a line when we got there at around 5:00 on a Saturday evening in July, but it moved quickly and the food was prepared pretty promptly considering the crowd. A couple pros and a few key cons gets Honeypie two stars from me. If we had to go back, we'd know what to order and what to expect, and accept how we'd be charged. read more

I had the best BLT, I have ever had; which is a surprising thing to day about a simple sandwich. The kitchen mentioned the kewpie mayo, and I noticed the bread was perfectly grilled (I think before the sandwich was put together). OMG!! WHAT AN AMAZING PLACE! Looking for good restaurants to try while driving south on VT Route 100, we found this restaurant mentioned a lot. It certainly didn't disappoint. We arrived a few minutes before they opened and grabbed a table under the old gas station pumps. The menu was posted outside so we were ready to order as soon as they opened the takeout window. We ordered the Vermont as Funk, Slamber, an order of fries, a Vietnamese salad, and the namesake honey pie. Everything was delicious, but that Slamber (lamb burger) was mind blowing incredible. The tzatziki sauce took it to a whole new level and made us want to order another. The salad was probably the weakest part of our order, but that being said it was still very good. Prices were a bit high, but in this case, you get what you pay for. The ingredients were all top quality and presentation was awesome. The staff were all very friendly and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place. We'll be dreaming of that Slamber for months to come. read more

This is such a fun little restaurant. Honeypie is a old converted gas station, now burger joint. This is a take out or outdoor seating restaurant only. They serve burgers, sausages and sandwiches and have daily specials. They also serve milkshakes and local beers. One of their specialties is their honey pie. My husband, had a burger, I had a veggie burger, my daughter had a grilled cheese. My husband and I each had a beer and our daughter have a maple lemonade. We split a slice of honey pie. All of our food was fresh and delicious. If you are in the area I highly recommend stopping. Seating is limited so bring a blanket so you can eat on the lawn. read more

Wowowoww so glad we stumbled on this place! We stayed nearby and Honeypie was on the recommended list from our AirBnB host. Burger, shakes, fries, pie... we're in!! During COVID, they're running takeout service only with a few picnic tables out front for seating. Since we were staying so close, we decided to take our food home. We went ALL OUT and ordered everything that caught our eye. Two burgers (The OG + The Vermont as Funk), fries, fried cauliflower, shakes (blueberry lemon + coffee), and of course... honeypie. Now, I haven't heard of honeypie before, but since it was this restaurant's namesake, we needed to try it! Everything was soooo good. I loved my OG burger. I needed to try the classic and I'm so glad I did. The hubs was obsessed with his burger as well. The fries are shoestring and stayed crispy on the drive home. I thought the shakes were a little thin for my liking and melted too quickly. But that honeypie? Incredible. I wish we ordered more than one piece to share! My first experience with outdoor dining in VT. You can call in your order, or wait on line six feet apart. Everyone wears masks. There are picnic benches -- one of them with chairs made of rocks -- and also a grassy knoll next door where you can bring a blanket or chairs and sit. What a great addition to the Stratton community! I opted for a Bring-It burger with a lettuce wrap/bunless (they give you enough butter lettuce that it actually can keep your hands clean). On top was bacon, american cheese, grilled onions and kimchi! We also got fries and the salted caramel shake. After consuming my 15,000 calories, I realized this place was a great burger place with fresh ingredients and very helpful and pleasant staff. The place only opens at 12, so don't expect breakfast there. It is also closed Tuesday and Wednesday, so beware if you're skiing during the week. It's the same owners as SoLo Farm to Table, so you know the quality of ingredient sourcing is excellent, and you can taste it in the food.
