The menu can be overwhelming with choices, but that's a positive for your taste buds. Reasonably priced, quick service and staff are very friendly. We enjoyed sitting at the picnic tables near the Creek. Fries and onion rings were hot and tasty. The Asian bowl and kid's chicken nuggets received two thumbs up. My bacon, blue cheese burger was a bit of a let down. It was cooked perfectly, but somewhat dry and lacking flavor even with all the toppings. Would definitely give it another go and , overall, enjoyed our visit.

On our way to NY we took the scenic route through Vermont. We passed this little stop thinking we'd hit it on the way back. Once we got to the town past it we turned back. I'm so glad we did! Good prices for good food with amazing views around us.

We went on a massive 2-week family road trip, 12 states, dozens of meals. When I asked the kids (there are 8 of them...) what were their top meals, this place was in everyone's top 5. For a family of 10, that's pretty impressive! This a seasonal grill (think fixed location food truck) set beside a stream. Of course, if you're eating on the property, the weather must be cooperative. They have picnic tables set in a pleasant mowed area and they are being extra-safe regarding COVID-19. The highlights were Korean tacos and Buffalo Fries. The tacos were outstanding with BBQ and slaw. The fries had a great sauce and plenty of bleu cheese. Yum! It was fairly pricey for a roadside stand, but you're getting top-notch food in a picturesque setting! Honestly, I doubt I'll be back because this was a once in a lifetime trip. If we are back, though, this place will be a meal. Maybe 2!

I love this place. They use local veggies. They have great food. They have a cute little brook to splash in while you wait. And it's about the half way point on a road trip we take often. I ordered the Korean bbq tacos and honestly they were one of the best I have had. A dream. There were perfectly diced veggies either in the salsa or slaw. It gave such a nice textured crunch. The aioli on top was just the right amount. Sometimes tacos are drippy and messy with the fillings, sauces, or grease coming out. Seriously, they somehow perfected the quantities. No dripping on my hands! My son loved his chili cheese dog. The chili had lots of beans and big chunks of meat. He was surprised at how good just the chili even was. My husband ordered the pineapple bacon burger. The meat itself had great flavor. The bacon and pineapple just pushed it over the edge. The only slight disappointment was the chicken nuggets. Definitely the frozen kind. My bad though. I should have ordered chicken tenders but didn't realize until after. My daughter still liked them and was happy. Everyone was thrilled with the food and the great spot. I wish this wasn't only a seasonal place. We come through here every few months. I'll enjoy it during the spring/summer trips and look longingly at it as we pass through in the winter.

Great roadside burgers and shakes. Everything was made fresh to order. They have great outdoor seating.

Popular outdoor drive-in restaurant serving ice cream treats, burgers, hot dogs, fish frys, sandwiches, salads, kids meals, & Pepsi fountain drinks (self-serve). This Wahoo's does not serve Fish Tacos like the Wahoo's in California. Bummer! There are wooden directional signs pointing to other Wilmingtons including Wilmington, CA which is 2,871 miles away. Gravel parking lot and picnic table seating outside. The clientele here is mostly tourists passing through the area. I ordered a Flurry ($3.75 tax included) with soft serve twist ice cream, Reeses Pieces, & topped with whipped cream, decent tasting and very sweet on a hot day. The service here was friendly and quick.

The old tavern feel and decorations were nice. And to look outside, you can imagine the feel when the snow starts to fall. For lunch we ordered the tomato soup and the onion soup. Anna our waitress made the recommendations. The soups were delicious, the onion cover been a little hotter but it was still delicious! For lunch we got the Italian meat bowl. The only one that was working was at the bar. I wish she had placed us closer to the bar section before putting us in the very back with no air flow. Too bad they didn't have outside seating because it would have a lovely evening to dine outside. I was determined to have some clam chowder while in Vermont. The one here was too salty. It also had bacon bits which probably added to the salt content. For my entree, I ordered the chicken piccata. Again, I thought the dish was too salty. But I will say that my plate was filled with a large portion of the chicken, mashed potatoes, and vegetables. I'm not sure whether it was the large size of my meal or the fact that I was too warm to finish. So we took the remainder back to the hotel for another day. He ordered the ribeye and it too was a large portion that he did not finish. The meat was perfectly cooked with juices. We would have loved to linger as our evening was coming to a close and we had no other plans but after hearing other customers say it was too warm in the restaurant, we decided to head back to the hotel early. Service was wonderful though.

This place has been a Wilmington staple since 1997, and you can tell they've spent the last nearly 30 years perfecting the craft. The atmosphere is incredible. While the original 1850s building was lost to a fire in 2010, the current space is a beautiful, faithful replica that feels historic and cozy. It's the perfect spot for a post-ski dinner or a summer night out. Here's the breakdown of what you need to order: The Chowder: This is proper New England clam chowder. It's thick, rich, and loaded with clams--not just a bowl of potatoes and heavy cream. It's the ultimate comfort food. Steamers: You have to start with the steamers. They are clean, sweet, and served the traditional way with a side of broth and drawn butter. It's a messy, delicious classic that they do perfectly here. Whole Belly Clams: These are the gold standard. They're lightly breaded, perfectly fried, and have that sweet, briny pop you usually only find at a roadside shack on the Maine coast. If you're a fan of "the bellies," don't skip these. The Lobster: I went for the steamed lobster, and it was impeccable. Succulent chunks of fresh meat and just the right amount of butter. It tasted like it was caught that morning. It's rare to find a spot that balances a "fancy night out" feel with such unpretentious, high-quality food. Whether you're a local or just passing through for the foliage, make sure you stop here.

The cheese fondue was substantial, served with bread, apples, cornichons, cocktail onions, chunks of ham, two different kinds of sausages and assorted potatoes, all gorgeously presented on wooden slab. The French onion soup, which we shared as an appetizer was also delicious. Great wine and my fiancé sampled the Vermonter cocktail, a potent concoction of bourbon, sweet vermouth and angostura bitters. Very strong and flavorful! We finished the evening with a slice of apple strudel, complete with a sparkler candle for my belated birthday. Great presentation! The decor and atmosphere here is stunning with fur throws over the seat backs, roses, candlelight and Alpine themes like antler wall sconces. Bathrooms were very clean and decorated with cute retro skiing photos. After we praised the fondue as exceptional, our server offered to bring out the owner so we could meet her. Our whole experience here was very strong until the end of our meal when then service slowed down, which the server explained was due to a large party upstairs, so it took awhile for us to get our dessert. Not a huge deal. While the owner was great to chat with, she then asked if we wanted to enjoy our dessert at the bar so they could seat a larger party using our table and the one next to us (awkward, especially after spending over $200 on dinner, no thanks). Also, we did not appreciate the 2.5 "operational fee" added to our check! Were it not for these last two points, this would have been a five star review because the atmosphere, food and drinks were great!

We were greeted warmly by the hostess and seated right away. They don't have a kid's menu, but they have plenty of kid friendly food to choose from. I love how the dinning area has stone wall and chairs with white fur on them. Great romanic place for dates or special occasions. There were 5 of us and we ordered the pork schnitzel which was perfectly pan fried and seasoned ($36). The ham and cheese crepe was $22, small but very good... I was still left hungry so we also ordered the beet spatzel ($18), it came in a bowl with goat cheese , so good. The chicken entree(forgot the name) was big enough to share by my kids. It was cooked with skin on, which I prefer, crispy skin and tender meat, sooooo good. It was supposed to come with parsnip puree but they were nice enough to sub it with mashed potatoes for my kids. It was devoured! We also shared 2 deserts: apple strudel and bread pudding. They were good, but not the best we've had... For $16 each, maybe this can be skipped. But overall, great meal! Oh forgot to mention they have an apple schnapps shot for $5 that comes in a little Dasboot shot glass. So yummy!! A must try!
