Food is SOO good. Portion size doesn't disappoint! Staff are friendly! So many good spots to sit and enjoy, pet friendly

Busy busy on this gorgeous day but the staff did a great job working through the food and ice cream lines! Delish burger and home cut fries, but the ice cream and milk shake were definitely the winners as we sat in the sun with a cool breeze. Such a great area to sit and enjoy the tasty treats and space for pups and kiddos to stretch their legs and check out the babbling brook

The menu can be overwhelming with choices, but that's a positive for your taste buds. Reasonably priced, quick service and staff are very friendly. We enjoyed sitting at the picnic tables near the Creek. Fries and onion rings were hot and tasty. The Asian bowl and kid's chicken nuggets received two thumbs up. My bacon, blue cheese burger was a bit of a let down. It was cooked perfectly, but somewhat dry and lacking flavor even with all the toppings. Would definitely give it another go and , overall, enjoyed our visit.

On our way to NY we took the scenic route through Vermont. We passed this little stop thinking we'd hit it on the way back. Once we got to the town past it we turned back. I'm so glad we did! Good prices for good food with amazing views around us.

We went on a massive 2-week family road trip, 12 states, dozens of meals. When I asked the kids (there are 8 of them...) what were their top meals, this place was in everyone's top 5. For a family of 10, that's pretty impressive! This a seasonal grill (think fixed location food truck) set beside a stream. Of course, if you're eating on the property, the weather must be cooperative. They have picnic tables set in a pleasant mowed area and they are being extra-safe regarding COVID-19. The highlights were Korean tacos and Buffalo Fries. The tacos were outstanding with BBQ and slaw. The fries had a great sauce and plenty of bleu cheese. Yum! It was fairly pricey for a roadside stand, but you're getting top-notch food in a picturesque setting! Honestly, I doubt I'll be back because this was a once in a lifetime trip. If we are back, though, this place will be a meal. Maybe 2!

I love this place. They use local veggies. They have great food. They have a cute little brook to splash in while you wait. And it's about the half way point on a road trip we take often. I ordered the Korean bbq tacos and honestly they were one of the best I have had. A dream. There were perfectly diced veggies either in the salsa or slaw. It gave such a nice textured crunch. The aioli on top was just the right amount. Sometimes tacos are drippy and messy with the fillings, sauces, or grease coming out. Seriously, they somehow perfected the quantities. No dripping on my hands! My son loved his chili cheese dog. The chili had lots of beans and big chunks of meat. He was surprised at how good just the chili even was. My husband ordered the pineapple bacon burger. The meat itself had great flavor. The bacon and pineapple just pushed it over the edge. The only slight disappointment was the chicken nuggets. Definitely the frozen kind. My bad though. I should have ordered chicken tenders but didn't realize until after. My daughter still liked them and was happy. Everyone was thrilled with the food and the great spot. I wish this wasn't only a seasonal place. We come through here every few months. I'll enjoy it during the spring/summer trips and look longingly at it as we pass through in the winter.

For good reasons. Our family informed us that the husband and wife owners of Folly used to be based in New York City. I believe they are the only two people operating Folly. The wife is front of house and the husband is the chef. They are able to manage this because the upscale dining room is small, and because they're good at what they do. We shared a very well curated cheese plate and I also tried some of my wife's Folly Salad, with arugula, spinach, dried cranberries, thin-sliced pears and a Poppy Seed dressing. Well presented and simple, but balanced flavors. I ordered a strip steak with truffle leek cream, which was served with al dente green beans and fried farm potatoes. The steak was sliced in large strips to display a perfect medium rare. It was tender and delicious. The sides were on point too. I also tried a bite or two of the ricotta gnocchi with vodka sauce and Misty Knoll bone in chicken with wilted spinach, shiitakes and bacon. Both looked and tasted great. I doubt that there is a better fine dining experience in the area. Be sure to make reservations. There aren't many tables and the food is reasonably-priced for this level of experience. 5 Stars

It's clearly a husband-and-wife operation, and while some might find that charming, I found it frustrating. As someone who works in the industry, I have no problem waiting or understanding when someone's busy. But it was hard to get her attention, and she seemed annoyed even pouring us a second glass of wine. The food took forever, and it honestly felt like they used the "intimate experience" as an excuse for the slow pace while charging whatever they want. It's one of those places people like the idea of more than the actual experience. I don't usually write reviews, but I left feeling pretty annoyed. For the time and money, there are definitely better options around.

Which, looking at her wedding photo on the wall leads me to believe she is one of the owners. The woman behind the counter seriously deserves an Olympic medal for somehow making a bakery feel hostile. I asked a couple of simple questions about the products and was met with so much visible annoyance that I started wondering if I was accidentally asking for state secrets instead of information about cinnamon rolls and coffee. How can you have a bakery and just visibly hate the people in your establishment?? When I got back to the car, I looked up the reviews because I genuinely thought, "Surely this can't be normal." Reader... it was and it seems to be happening at an alarming rate. Clearly she reads these reviews....clearly SHE is the problem. Apparently a bearded guy is also a total jerk but thankfully we didn't have the displeasure of dealing with him ...we saw some tall guy sans beard behind her but he kept to himself. Review after review described the exact same experience, which was oddly validating and equally disappointing. I'm just happy we parked in an actual parking spot bc apparently that's something else that's very triggering to them. It's a shame because the baked goods are genuinely tasty. But a cozy roadside bakery isn't just about great pastries. People come expecting warmth, friendliness, and a little Vermont charm. Right now, the cinnamon rolls are doing all the heavy lifting and honestly when it's served alongside that kind of coldness and attitude, they just simply aren't worth it. Hopefully one day the hospitality catches up to the baking.

The forests surrounding the restaurant are lovely, and sometimes you might even see a bear! But the food is what sets this place apart. I had the duck, and it was perfectly prepared. The skin was crispy, the meat was moist, and the wild cherry sauce was a perfect tartness and acidity to offset the rich flavor of the duck. The salad that came with the entree was also noteworthy. The little leaf lettuce was crisp and fresh, and it was perfectly dressed. Also, the dessert was truly unexpectedly good. It's rare a place can do such a good job with both the food and dessert, but such is the case at Two Tannery. I tried both the warm berry crumble and the coffee crisp tart. It keeps the vibe lively without feeling like a chaotic playground, and it's a great way to kill time while waiting for a table or hanging out after a day on the slopes. The Food We sampled a bit of everything, and for a brand-new kitchen, they are already hitting their stride: The Wings: These were the standout. Crispy skin, juicy interior, and the sauces actually have some personality. Definitely get an order for the table. Roasted Chicken: This is the ultimate comfort dish.
