Review is solely for their coffee as we did not get any food. I will admit I was a little concerned reading the majority of the reviews that mention food anyways. Reviews did all seem to rave about their coffees though. It's a rustic feeling spot and a spot I could definitely see being a spot some locals are regulars at. They do have a couple small tables outside and seating inside too. Lastly for food wise they did appear to have some pastry/baked goods on display, that looked pretty good. Coffee wise their offerings are quite limited so don't expect a huge menu of offerings or anything like that. Iced coffee, hot coffee, lattes, cold brew and that's roughly it with some flavor syrup options too. My wife got a pumpkin spice latte and I got an iced coffee with French vanilla flavor. Service was not rude like others had mentioned but certainly not anything very welcoming or overly friendly. Drinks were made in a good amount of time. Now onto the reasoning for the two star review though, is my coffee was undrinkable until we got back to our place to strain it. Drinking from the straw resulted in an absurd amount of coffee grounds to be drank. Not exactly a great experience. Overall afterwards it was a decent flavored iced coffee but I'd skip out on returning again. Whenever we are in Vermont, we go to Coffee Barn. Oftentimes, the workers are extremely unpleasant. We went this morning and were immediately met with hostility after asking a genuine question about their iced coffee sizes. The two ladies making the coffees, one who's name is Courtney (yes, she willingly gave us her name), would not even give us eye contact or respond to our question. It turns out they overcharged us the day before and gave us the wrong size, so we were just trying to understand what the sizes were. We were not demanding a refund in any way. Courtney started becoming very hostile and told us to leave. "You can leave. You got your coffee."We got the manager Dan involved, which was honestly pointless because he saw the dispute happening and didn't even get involved in the first place. Neadless to say, if you want a pleasant experience, just make your coffee at home. The coffee isn't even good. The workers hate their live's and will make you feel incredibly disrespected and uncomfortable. 0/10 experience. We will never be going back to this terribly unprofessional business environment. read more

The coffee here is really good and the iced latte was actually one of the best I have had! The breakfast is pretty basic and simple in quality, however the service was not very good. The person behind the counter touched the food with her barehands & was also eating while dealing with food for people's orders. Once she finished my sandwich, I thanked her- but she made no response at all and seemed to be very ungrateful for the fact that there was any business in the establishment at all. The ambiance feels very disorganized. To me, it seems that this place needs a real revamp to be a hit stop. It seems that the locals like this place a lot, however it's not very inviting for tourists. This coffee was absolutely delicious. The espresso was probably some of the best tasting espresso I have ever had in my life. It's cute and quaint inside and they have food options here as well which was great. They had non dairy milk options, but I do wish they had one vegan food option or even avocado. The rest of my group agreed that they did have good food and we were all blown away by how good this coffee was. It's close to mount snow and they have seating inside where you can sit and chat, eat, or play games (they had chess and a few other little games inside). I threw out my coffee from here mainly because these owners/workers were incredibly rude to not only me but my father-in-law. If you want coffee, do everything in your power to not get it from here. If this is the only coffee shop in a 20 mile radius, drive 20 miles and get coffee somewhere else. I'm telling you, do not come here unless you want to be insulted and leave in a terrible mood. Also, our coffee was $5 each. So you pay $5 to be verbally abused. When I complained to the workers about their service, they did not apologize about anything they just responded saying "Ok. Ok." The bathroom was the most disgusting bathroom I have ever visited and there was no toilet paper. What an awful experience. I hope this place loses business and shuts down because they do not deserve to be interacting with people. read more

Went here for a girls trip and had ordered 6 (somewhat complicated) lattes and each one was delicious!! Their espresso is incredibly smooth and the owner said they had 29 flavors. We also were able to relax and sip our coffees while playing some games they had. The only downside was we went back the next day and they are closed Wednesday and Thursday. The only place making espresso coffee in West Dover, as far as I'm aware, so five stars from me! They're taking COVID-19 seriously; putting signs up requesting you to wear masks, use a separate entrance and exit, etc. Staff wear masks. Ample sanitizer and wipes available. They have outdoor seating, although some customers are eating inside the cafe. Gender neutral restroom. They have WiFi! They have bagels and other light meals, as well as an assortment of large cookies, muffins, and croissants. We had a croissant straight out of the oven and it was delicious. The blueberry muffins are the best in Dover and Wilmington, seriously full of fruit! The coffee itself is Starbucks style, so if you like that, you'll like this. They froth the milk, dump it in the cup, and then pour a double espresso in. So there's no crema and you have to stir vigorously to get the coffee and milk to mix. Why is this a thing? It's so simple: you make the espresso into the cup, then splash the frothed milk through the espresso, and it tastes and looks a million times better. Good news is that they have a bunch of non-dairy milks (oat, soy, almond, coconut). read more

We came here before heading over to Mount Snow and I definitely wasn't disappointed. I got a bacon egg and cheese on a bagel, and it was a very filling breakfast at a reasonable price. The sandwich was pretty big and it they didn't skimp on any of the components. The eggs were seasoned with a good amount of ground black pepper, and the bagel was excellent - it was hard and buttery. Floors looked liked they hadn't seen a broom or mop in weeks, every surface was sticky and the garbage was overflowing at 7:30 AM. Do yourself a favor and support another local establishment that is respectful (and appreciate) of their patrons, clean and serves better food. From NY & when I came in, I felt very cozy, it is a Happy place to enjoy my morning coffee. Their selection of coffee is nice. I purchased their Ethiopian Roast as well as the Colombian Roast; which both were delicious. The smoothie really isn't a smoothie, but more of a milkshake where they add sugary fruit puree/syrup to it which totally takes away any health reasons you seek when trying to drink a smoothie. The main woman at the counter was nice. And that's where the good stuff ended. I got oatmeal. The bowl had a hole in it and milk slowly poured all over the counter. The woman hands me towels and is I like over filled it. And so then I start cleaning it up for her and realize the liquid coming out isn't stopping. So I look and find the hole in the container and point this out. Generally they were low on inventory. The credit machine broke and they reset the internet in the place and I waited for that. There wasn't a lot of space in the place and another quest ran into a table and a bunch of stuff spilled all over. My girlfriend was there with her dog for a while - maybe 10 minutes, and then a different person who worked there started yelling about the dog. It took quite a while to get food / coffee. Not sure if the owners are new, but something is very different. We have stopped here many times on our Fall getaways to Vermont. We stopped this weekend and everything was so unorganized. There is no room in there now, the electronic menu boards dont work anymore, the line waiting to order snaked around everywhere. The women at the counter was trying to take orders and make lattes. The food was still good, but took 30 minutes for a basic bagel sandwich. Definitely not ready for their busy season. There are now more places in the area to grab a quick breakfast or lunch.
