I'm from New York- and they claimed to have "New York bagels" so naturally I had to test this. I will say living in Massachusetts and Vermont, this was the closest to a New York bagel I've found. Absolutely delicious. And to top it off- the brown sugar cinnamon latte was DEVINE! I am upset we haven't found this place sooner. We will be back for sure.

Me and my dad have been here before great place to eat before hitting the slopes, the french toast is so sweet its amazing, must try. My dad got the bacon egg and cheese on a roll and he said it was good. Just a nice place for breakfast and coffee, I recommend.

The coffee here is really good and the iced latte was actually one of the best I have had! The breakfast is pretty basic and simple in quality, however the service was not very good. The person behind the counter touched the food with her barehands & was also eating while dealing with food for people's orders. Once she finished my sandwich, I thanked her- but she made no response at all and seemed to be very ungrateful for the fact that there was any business in the establishment at all. The ambiance feels very disorganized. To me, it seems that this place needs a real revamp to be a hit stop. It seems that the locals like this place a lot, however it's not very inviting for tourists. I would personally only come here for coffee (& only if you really need it), not for food simply because of the lack of care for dealing with the public.

I feel bad writing this because three nice and senior people run the show and they are understaffed. But it Took almost 20 mins for a bagel and they got our order wrong. Make sure to keep your order simple and keep reminding them I guess. Our bagel wasn't bad actually but one of us didn't get what we wanted. Cappuccino was okay not great.

This coffee was absolutely delicious. The espresso was probably some of the best tasting espresso I have ever had in my life. It's cute and quaint inside and they have food options here as well which was great. They had non dairy milk options, but I do wish they had one vegan food option or even avocado. The rest of my group agreed that they did have good food and we were all blown away by how good this coffee was. It's close to mount snow and they have seating inside where you can sit and chat, eat, or play games (they had chess and a few other little games inside). Highly recommend trying a latte from this place

Walked in and saw whoever prepared my food coughing while sitting down and chatting with customers. He got up to make my breakfast sandwich and touched everything with bare, unwashed hands, unmasked after JUST COUGHING. I left my sandwich there because I can't risk that while still in a pandemic (or ever).

Swung by this cozy little cafe for a quick breakfast before hitting the slopes at nearby Mount Snow. There were quite a few locals there when we arrived so it took around 15 minutes before our order was ready. The Western omelette was overly greasy and burnt, but the Everything bagel that included two fried eggs and cheese was nicely melted and toasted.

This is a solid place to start your day if you're looking for a quick bite. The bacon, egg and cheese bagel sandwich was tasty (even by these NY standards), and they serve real espresso! They offer milk alternatives too, including oat milk.

Omelette was decent. Girl working there is less than nice. I'm surprised to find a crab this far inland.

The…read morecombination restaurant/convenience store/souvenir shop is like gasoline: you can't put anything else in your car as a substitute, so you pay whatever outrageous price is in front of you and can't question it. As the only proper breakfast option at the resort, I had the opportunity to have both breakfast and lunch here on two different days. First was lunch. While the panini was delicious, the coleslaw was disappointing and the combo was not worth the price. At any other sandwich type place, the sandwich and salad combo would probably cost about four dollars less than what I paid, plus the cost of drinks. Where you might pay $1.50 for a bottle of water at a grocery store, don't count on that price here. Cold sandwiches also cost a dollar less than hot sandwiches, so I suppose I could have saved a dollar and ordered something that didn't interest me in the slightest to save a few pennies. The next day was for breakfast, which was a little more reasonable than lunch. The scrambled egg combo came with home fries and toast, which were adequate, even though the eggs tasted a little buttery. Add in the cost of a bottle of orange juice, and you've matched the cost of yesterday's sandwich. The home fries were good, but I've certainly had better. I added Tabasco to my breakfast, which turned out to be a somewhat bad idea. If nothing else, it confirmed to me that I will always prefer Frank's over Tabasco. The shop part of the cafe has all the items you would find in most hotel shops, but absolutely nothing has a price tag on it. I shudder to think of what I could have paid if I had an overwhelming need for maple syrup. It's convenient if you can't leave the hotel and want to get your souvenirs right away, but again, "meh, I've seen better" is the most accurate description ever. I should hope after a long day of skiing, you have food already in your room and you won't need to pick anything up here. Basically, if you can get offsite for lunch, skip the deli and save this for breakfast only. I just hope they don't run out of French toast again.

And it's not even close. I'm a black iced coffee drinker. I prefer iced coffee (brewed hot and chilled) to cold brew (steeped at room temp or colder for a while) for technical reasons, but many places only offer cold brew these days. 1A offered both. Bonus point. The cold coffee was already stored in jars in a small fridge. I forget the price, but it seemed fair. The iced coffee was very good. Smooth. Very drinkable. No aftertaste. I've had the sense that the taste of other Southern VT Coffee spots is perhaps affected my mineral rich water. I did not have that sense at 1A. This was DELISH! The girls that work here are so nice. I visited twice in the same day and both times this place was swamped. They took it in stride and still had a smile on their face while working through the line. The Maple Reserve offers ice cream / creemees, coffee, pastries and serves alcohol. Just imagine a book store meets a coffee shop that also has delicious looking sweet treats (chai donuts was what caught my eye). Telling my wife those little bits about it made her eyes light up with excitement! We showed up and thankfully the major rush already passed and snagged a parking spot. Be mindful it is a small place with minimal parking. We walked inside and looked all around, my wife jumped to the books to browse (pictures of those can be seen on the Antidote Books listing). She did have lots of time to browse, because they only had one barista taking orders then also making them. This would be the only negative I would have to say of this place, I felt bad that it seemed the worker had too much to do. It resulted in quite a wait and I could see them losing some business during rushes from this. I know the space is small but having someone take orders and one making drinks could help. Despite this I still feel they deserve five stars! I got their Golden Sun Milk Iced Latte and my wife got their Iced Matcha Latte. Both were very tasty, expertly made for sure. Also we were lucky enough to get the very last chai donut, and it had a rose frosting. It tasted like gingerbread because the chai spices, wish we could have had more than one. A spot we would definitely return to and try more drinks and bites! No books that we wanted to buy but glad to have found a combo coffee shop/book store. Stop here and give it a try!
