We had high hopes but it was just mediocre at best when it came to the atmosphere. Lacked so much potential and the food we ordered was a little disappointing. Beer I would give 4 stars but prob wouldn't desire going back to that location itself.

Snow Republic Brewing has quickly become a welcome addition to the afternoon scene! We have been there twice now and I was really impressed with their beer list - a fantastic selection with something for everyone. The atmosphere is great, a nice, relaxed pub vibe, and the service was excellent; friendly and attentive. It's refreshing to find a place open in the afternoon with such a solid pub food menu, and everything we ordered looked and tasted delicious. While the food was definitely a highlight, a few minor tweaks would elevate the experience. We ordered an appetizer, and while it was tasty, we were a little surprised that it wasn't served with app plates and utensils. Providing those would make enjoying the food much more comfortable. The basecamp sauce was a little thick , and it would be great with a honey mustard sauce (the mustard was missing on our second visit) Also, while I understand they focus on their impressive beer selection, it would be wonderful to see a more robust wine list with some additions (such as Pinot Grigio) to the wine list for those who prefer something different. Overall, though, Snow Republic is a winner. The great beer, good food, pleasant ambience, and excellent service make it a place I'll definitely be returning to. Highly recommended for a casual afternoon bite and a quality brew!

Food, service, ambiance. All of it. Amazing. Staff were extremely polite, food came out in a timely fashion. I'd rate the burger, fries and Coleslaw a "10". Keep up the good work.

    Beautiful inside and out

This place was amazing! We found this by chance! The server was Gordy and checked in. The food had great portions and was quick. We will be back again ! Thank you

Just opened like 2 weeks ago! The Basecamp Burger was very juicy and delicious, highly recommend. Also really loved the Pollination Station beer which has lavender and rose hips and is super floral. The woman taking orders and working the bar was also very friendly and kind. Definitely check this place out!

Delicious Burgers without the bun (they will have gluten free buns available soon!J

The Harpoon Brewery in Windsor, Vermont is famous for its brews, but I really like their menu…read more Simply put, it is comfort food and it is good. Most of the menu items here are not like a gourmet Vermont experience. Instead, they are simply, darn flippin' good! Menu items here are simple and breezy. Get the baked potato with pulled pork, cheddar, bacon, chives and sour cream. If I made the same dish, as easy as it seems, it would definitely not turn out as delicious. With this glorious baked potato, there was a white, shredded cheese. I am not used to this at all because usually you usually get orange cheddar cheese on a potato, but this is Vermont. People new to the region - like me - notice simple touches like white cheddar cheese and it's little things like that that really make a difference in having an authentic New England experience. And now onto the Hebrew National Franks: they are on New England rolls. I didn't know what those were until I ordered them, but this makes a total difference. They are soft and heated and have a shiny, buttery finish. On their winter menu, I have also tried the Space Cake beer fried chicken sandwich. I thought it might be a sweet, fried, hot honey kind of chicken sammie, but I don't think that option is on their menu yet. The fried chicken coating was good. This Space Cake sandwich came with sweet potato waffle fries. Oh my goodness! Definitely get these. Get them as an appetizer. Take them home with you. Whatever. You need them. They're delicious. This was all on their winter menu. On their summer menu, I enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich with steakhouse fries. Thoroughly fabulous. We also enjoyed the butternut squash salad with fresh cranberries from their summer menu. The lettuce was so darn fresh. It really makes a difference in the flavors and the whole experience here. Now onto the beers: there are so many draughts to choose from! Aside from a suite of brewed-on-site Harpoon beers, you can also get at least 3 UFO hefeweizen brews and 3 Clown Shoes beers. The UFO wheat beers are a favorite here: I had White (orange and coriander), Maine Blueberry and Strawberry Lemonade Shandy The Clown Shoes beers seem popular here, but were too intense for me. The Vodka Whips - inspired by the beloved Maryland Orange Crush drinks - are good. I thought was ordering a Cardi B Whip Shot, so when I got it, I realized these two drinks are not the same. Vodka Whips vs. Whip Shots: who knew. Camp Wannamango by Harpoon is a not-to-miss. I also liked the Maple Bourbon Barrel-aged Mountain Ale. Not a fan of any of the IPA's anywhere, including here, unless they are doubles. The Harpoon Cider is tasty. The Dunkin' beers are fabulous branding and interesting. Some I like ... while others are - again - just not watered-down enough for me. I hope someone is laughing at what a lightweight I am when it comes to sturdy beers. This brewery is perched on the side of a mountain with one of the best views of the valley below. For a travel day during the winter travel season it was busy but not overly full. The place is cash only which is posted and they have an atm in the front room for ease. The mountain rustic decor matches the place and area. There was counter service for food and drinks. They had both canned cocktails, wine and locally made beers to sample. The beer selection is great if you like IPA's. We ordered two pizzas and both came out quickly from their in room wood fired oven and were absolutely delicious. Definitely worth a stop if you're traveling near by or during leaf peeping season

Firstly I will say they did have a sign saying cash only, but do have an ATM for those without any. It is also a place you sit yourself and then order at the bar. It is located at an absolutely beautiful scenic view and they do have some outside seating so you can have a brew and pizza with a nice view! Beer wise I enjoyed their All Day Drinker and it was a light and crushable brew with more malt than hops shining through. My wife got their lemon drop sour which was refreshing with a hint of tartness. They also had a cider as well as some IPAs and non-alcoholic options too. Pizza wise they had a good variety of options including some not so traditional choices. The prices ranged from cheese being $20 and going up to $25 for the most. Those not interested in pizza are out of luck unless the one salad sounds good to them though I will say. Since we had 6 people in our group we ended up choosing 4 different pizzas. Our selections were Meatiator (think meat lovers), Potato Pie (mashed potatoes, bacon, sour cream, etc), Honey Apple Pie (honey, apple slices, cheeses, bacon, ricotta, basil), and lastly Okie Dokie Artichoke (garlic oil, lemon marinated artichoke hearts, roasted red peppers, sausage, cheese, and red pepper flakes). It gave us a really good variety and like I said above our whole party enjoyed the pizzas. Had a great cook to it, with lots of toppings that packed in lots of flavor. The Okie Dokie may have been the crowd favorite while the Honey Apple Pie was the most surprising flavor. Leaned towards sweet with the honey and apples but wasn't quite dessert pizza. Great spot to come for a pizza and beer/drink while also taking in the nearby view!

They are located in a great spot, with plenty of parking available. We were lucky weather wise to be able to enjoy the patio, which I highly recommend if you visit during a time that allows it. All of the staff were very friendly and service was quite quick. They do offer wine, cocktails, mocktails and plenty of other non-alcoholic drink options so don't let brewing company scare you away. My wife got their Peach Kolsch and I got their Patio Season (lemon fruited wheat beer) and we enjoyed them. Both paired well with the nice weather day! Food wise my wife got Taco Salad that she very much enjoyed. I got their Peach BBQ Chicken Sandwich that had pulled bbq chicken. It was very tasty and you could get the sweetness from the peaches in the sauce. I do wish it would have been a little more peach forward though. Fries were hot and well seasoned but could have had a little more crisp to them. Overall solid spot, would check it out for those looking for a brewery that serves food and even for those just looking for a meal too! They offer a great variety of food on their menu that everyone in your party should find something to their liking. Like I said above, if weather and time of year allows enjoy the patio!
