Labor Day and attempting to spend a bit more time at Sunapee before leaving and stumbled upon this gem... Mussels w/ shrimp and fries disappeared before they could pose for a pic (they were amazing btw) as was the corn-bread. Maine Lunch on-tap was also a great bonus. Key-lime tart with strawberry sauce and coconut was also quite amazing. Don't overlook this as a great stop at the Marina on Sunapee.

Mussels and fries for the little one.

We are so excited the Blue Canoe is here! The food was fantastic, service was fantastic and so happy to be sitting on the water in Sunapee harbor. There was a 40 minute wait (Thursday at 6:45p in the summer) but we went to Hoptimystic and had a beer...then our table was ready. My daughter had the oysters and I had the salmon poke. We ate every last bite! So happy they are busy! We'll be back, like tonight again for dinner!

The ambience is wonderful, kinda casual, kinda classy. They have a varied menu of seafood and specials as well. I had the crab rangoon dip that was absolutely delicious, wings with gochujang could be more spicy. Service was also pretty good with our waitress being very responsive and attentive!

Food is invariably excellent and the staff is well trained and very helpful. As usual, we went in and were seated immediately. I had their Gorgonzola salad with salmon on top and washed it down with their Rags to Riches IPA. Our entire party was quite pleased with the evening. Our only lack of satisfaction was in the lack of the giant pretzels they used to have. No more. Instead, they have locally made ale pretzels which although healthier, are almost impassable with a hard texture that is unpretzel-like. I encourage the Flying Goose to bring back their old-style pretzels or redo the ale pretzel recipe from scratch. Great evening.

At lunchtime, the parking lot is like a beehive with cars and trucks of people working in the area pulling in and back out with freshly made sandwiches, salads (not green salads, but the kind made with real mayonnaise), and those huge dill pickles that used to stand around in barrels at old time delis. There are individual servings of desserts in a refrigerator, a smattering of fresh produce, fresh breads, snacks, beverages (including beer and wine, and there is even a tiny wine alcove), ice cream, birthday candles and other things you might need once in a while but can't seem to lay your hands on. In the mornings, there are house-made breakfast sandwiches in a warmer so people can grab and go. The people work hard and are kind and friendly. We stopped in on Memorial Day - along with everyone else in the area - to pick up potato salad, seafood salad, and macaroni salad, and they were prepared! It was all hands on deck at the deli, shelves were stocked, and there were extra checkout clerks.
