    Club Sandwich - meh.
    Adria E.

Worth a try. I ordered the Hail Mary. It was good; heavy, rich, filling. My husband order the club sandwich. It was basic; boring, light on flavor. So I guess hit or miss depending on what you order... The interior is relaxed, diner style that is VERY heavy on the religious decor. Staff was nice and helpful.

Oh. My. God. What a wonderful place!…read more Took a day off from skiing due to that four letter word "r*in" and I realized I needed some culinary therapy. So wondering about of the Yelpsphere, I came up to this wonderful eatery that has been opened now for a year and I spent know it existed. So I decided to go in. I'm glad I did The Bend at Sugar River is a deli, coffee house, sandwich place, and upscale to-go food item shop. It does a brisk business but it doesn't seems to be full. There is an expansive and charming patio outside that is puppy friendly. Inside, the seating is more or less sparse but still charming. The menu is extensive. Soups, salads, breakfast items, and both hot and cold sandwiches. I had their French Dip sandwich. Delicious. As well, my oat latte was super! They also have refrigerated stands with both full meals to go, frozen foods and cheeses and salads. Service is awesome. Really so. The storekeeper told me about the place and their growth plans. It is amazing. Overall superb.

Such a beautiful place to sit next to the Sugar River with friends or by yourself. I am not proud to say this, but I incredibly picky when it comes to coffee. Over the past two years I've been blessed enough to have traveled all over the world; Portugal, Spain, Italy, France, Australia, New Zealand, Greece. The list goes on and on. Yet, the best cappuccinos I've tasted are at the Bend. I find myself finding reasons to go to Sunapee, so I can stop at The Bend. The food is delicious and made with care & pride. Silas and all the employees are very welcoming! They truly make you feel special, almost a feeling of being home. The smiles, laughter and exceptional service is unique. The Bend is a hidden gem!

If…read moreyou are going between 10am-12pm, expect a wait, and possibly to use street parking because the parking lot is rather small (not easy to turn around in if other patrons are also looking for parking). That said, the coffee, food, and service are worth it! There are two seating rooms and one of them opens out to restrooms and a very small shopping/business mall. The tables and chairs are thick, heavy, rustic wood reminiscent of a country kitchen, and the acoustics are pretty good! No echoes or a need to yell to friends or family at your own table. The service is stellar! Lots of students work here and they are top notch. The food is outstanding. Their hash browns are literally the best I have ever had. They are wispy and crispy, and will not leave grease on your plate or in your belly. The eggs are always perfect, no matter how you ask for them, and the pancakes are the best you can get without making them yourself at home. They are served with a syrup, but for $2.00 extra (at the time of this posting), you can get real maple syrup instead. By the way, their coffee is not limited to regular and decaf. There is a delightful coffee drinks menu for options to enjoy at your table or to go! Tucker's also does take out, so you really have not excuse to miss this delightful place.

I don't even like coffee. Truly. I've tried Dunkin', Starbucks, and plenty of small coffee shops,…read moreand it's always been a hard no for me... until The Barn Cafe. Somehow, they worked actual magic with their iced maple latte (with whipped cream), because I cannot stop ordering it. I don't understand it -- I just accept it. The food and desserts are on another level. Everything tastes incredibly fresh, and you can tell real care goes into the ingredients. The whipped cream alone deserves its own shoutout -- it holds its texture, tastes amazing, and is clearly not the cheap store-bought stuff. Their dessert cups are dangerously good: the chocolate mousse, strawberry trifle, and the raspberry/strawberry cheesecake cup are all to die for. Now let's talk savory food -- because wow. The jalapeño popper bacon melt is unreal. Perfectly cooked bacon, flavorful jalapeños with just the right kick, and everything comes together in the best way. I've also had their mushroom Swiss melt, and I don't even like Swiss cheese... yet here I am thinking about it days later. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting -- usually quiet and relaxing, though it can get a little busy during rush hours (for good reason). Whether you want to sit and enjoy the space or grab something to go, it's always a great experience. On top of all that, the staff are incredibly kind, sweet, and genuinely welcoming. They're always helpful, patient, and very understanding, which makes the experience even better every single time. Bottom line: I go here all the time, I'm consistently blown away, and I will absolutely keep coming back. If you haven't been yet, you're missing out.

The atmosphere is on the quieter side, which some people might enjoy. That said, the omelette I ordered with bacon, tomatoes, and cheddar cheese missed the mark this visit. It came out soft and the inside was cold, with the cheese unmelted. It just didn't feel like it was fully cooked through. I'd love to come back and try it again on a better day -- the spot has potential and I'm rooting for them to get the hot dishes dialed in.
