We LOVED this place! A new local staple! Gavin was fantastic and everyone was very welcoming and the service was great. Chill atmosphere, amazing food! Can't say enough good things:)

Busy Saturday evening with about a 1/2 hr wait for our party of six. It was worth the wait. The salad was fantastic as well as the pizza. We also had wings, clam chowder, burger, and kids meals. Everyone was satisfied with their choice. We even met Helen and she was a nice lady to talk to. I would recommend this place for dinner!

At lunchtime, the parking lot is like a beehive with cars and trucks of people working in the area pulling in and back out with freshly made sandwiches, salads (not green salads, but the kind made with real mayonnaise), and those huge dill pickles that used to stand around in barrels at old time delis. There are individual servings of desserts in a refrigerator, a smattering of fresh produce, fresh breads, snacks, beverages (including beer and wine, and there is even a tiny wine alcove), ice cream, birthday candles and other things you might need once in a while but can't seem to lay your hands on. In the mornings, there are house-made breakfast sandwiches in a warmer so people can grab and go. The people work hard and are kind and friendly. We stopped in on Memorial Day - along with everyone else in the area - to pick up potato salad, seafood salad, and macaroni salad, and they were prepared! It was all hands on deck at the deli, shelves were stocked, and there were extra checkout clerks. So wondering about of the Yelpsphere, I came up to this wonderful eatery that has been opened now for a year and I spent know it existed. So I decided to go in. I'm glad I did The Bend at Sugar River is a deli, coffee house, sandwich place, and upscale to-go food item shop. It does a brisk business but it doesn't seems to be full. There is an expansive and charming patio outside that is puppy friendly. Inside, the seating is more or less sparse but still charming. The menu is extensive. Soups, salads, breakfast items, and both hot and cold sandwiches. I had their French Dip sandwich. Delicious. As well, my oat latte was super! They also have refrigerated stands with both full meals to go, frozen foods and cheeses and salads. Service is awesome. Really so. The storekeeper told me about the place and their growth plans. It is amazing. Overall superb.

Such a beautiful place to sit next to the Sugar River with friends or by yourself. I am not proud to say this, but I incredibly picky when it comes to coffee. Yet, the best cappuccinos I've tasted are at the Bend. I find myself finding reasons to go to Sunapee, so I can stop at The Bend. The food is delicious and made with care & pride. Silas and all the employees are very welcoming! They truly make you feel special, almost a feeling of being home. The smiles, laughter and exceptional service is unique. The Bend is a hidden gem!

A…read morefew days ago, I treated my mom to a stop there for lunch, and it was a wonderful experience. It was lunchtime on a Friday and New London was bustling, yet picking up lunch couldn't have been easier. The sandwiches--made on Blue Loon's own breads--were freshly prepared, neatly wrapped, and stocked in the refrigerator case beside the baked goods. We also picked up a few scones to take home. What impressed me most was the staff. Three young students were working that day, and they were some of the most poised, cheerful, and courteous attendants I've encountered anywhere. One young man immediately understood what I was looking for, gathered everything efficiently, and his colleague had us checked out in no time. In a region already known for friendly people, their professionalism really stood out. The bakery itself was sparkling clean, and I appreciated that the tables were spaced farther apart than is typical, creating a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. Next time, I'd love to stay and enjoy a meal there. And the scones? They're some of the best around--always seasonal, always delicious. If you're planning ahead, pick up some clotted cream from the Lebanon or Hanover Food Co-op along with a jar of strawberry jam, brew a pot of tea, and you'll have a treat worthy of an English afternoon tea.

Some of my friends came with me and we really just enjoyed our time catching up over a coffee and pastry. It did end up getting really busy so make sure to come either during the off-season or early in the morning. The coffee was really yummy and the croissant was scrumptious too. They also sold a lot of cute snacks, merch, and other goodies. Can't wait to go back

That said, the coffee, food, and service are worth it! There are two seating rooms and one of them opens out to restrooms and a very small shopping/business mall. The tables and chairs are thick, heavy, rustic wood reminiscent of a country kitchen, and the acoustics are pretty good! No echoes or a need to yell to friends or family at your own table. The service is stellar! Lots of students work here and they are top notch. The food is outstanding. Their hash browns are literally the best I have ever had. They are wispy and crispy, and will not leave grease on your plate or in your belly. The eggs are always perfect, no matter how you ask for them, and the pancakes are the best you can get without making them yourself at home. They are served with a syrup, but for $2.00 extra (at the time of this posting), you can get real maple syrup instead. By the way, their coffee is not limited to regular and decaf. There is a delightful coffee drinks menu for options to enjoy at your table or to go! Tucker's also does take out, so you really have not excuse to miss this delightful place.
