I walked in and they said they would have to check if they could take walk ins but I was lucky and they were able to seat me at the bar. The bar was perfect for me and a nice atmosphere inside. The bartender was nice and attentive. The menu has a variety of different foods so hard to make a decision! Everything sounds so tasty. I at first ordered the falafel plate. About 10-15 minutes later they told me they came back and told me they didnt have any croquettes which was sad. I think ordered a special Korean chicken plate that was good. We were in NH for 4 days and out of that we were at Gypsy cafe for 2. We love this place it has a lil bit of everything. we tried their malai kofta, fried fritters, Indonesian noodles, Brazilian rice, butter pasta(from kids menu) and corn and cauliflower patties. Everything was delicious and the service was good. Just one thing to be mindful of is they do require you to make a reservation in advance eventhough the place might not be as crowded at 5:30 PM. The restaurant has a pretty nice menu, mostly Mediterranean type dishes. I had the Australian lamb chops for my main entree. It was on the specials menu and was very tasty. We also had their hummus appetizer which was very good. It comes with hummus, Baba ghanoush, olives, feta cheese, Tzatziki sauce and pita points. Great appetizer...baba ghanoush was a little on the oily side but tasted pretty good. For dessert, we had the salted caramel lava cake...to die for! I honestly wish I could give Gypsy Cafe zero stars. My family -- including my 3-year-old child and my wife, who is currently recovering from cancer -- came in hoping for a relaxing meal. We ended up spending nearly $300 on food and drinks. We ordered appetizers, entrees, and multiple beverages, and we were still actively eating and drinking when the owner approached our table. Instead of checking on our experience, she told us we needed to leave because she had another party waiting for our table. We were stunned. Our plates weren't finished. Our drinks were still full. My toddler was still eating. My wife, who has been through more than enough physically and emotionally, was just trying to enjoy a normal family night out on her birthday . And yet we were rushed out mid-meal so they could seat someone else. There was no apology, no compassion, and no effort to handle the situation professionally. After spending that kind of money, being treated as if we were disposable the moment another party showed up was incredibly disrespectful. Restaurants get busy -- we understand that. But forcing a family, especially one with a young child and someone recovering from a serious illness, to leave before they've even finished their meal is unacceptable. We left feeling embarrassed, frustrated, and honestly pretty hurt.
