A tried and true excellent, consistent & delicious choice for when I come east to visit my father-in-law. The service is phenomenal, but the food is even better! Fresh ingredients and served quick and with a smile. Decent prices. This time I got the chicken pesto wrap and the kale, spinach, red onion & cucumber were crisp and flavorful. The grilled chicken was tasty and the feta cheese went surprisingly well with the fresh pesto sauce. Of course the portion sizes are huge. Awesome lunch, brunch, and breakfast menu. They serve breakfast until closing. They stop seating at 2:00 p.m. but allow diner's to leisurely continue their meals without interrupting them. We were a waitresses nightmare asking her about every dish. She enjoyed talking about the menu and the restaurant, laughing and joking with us. Most of their food is locally sourced using seasonal ingredients. We settled on traditional diner food: pastrami on rye and tuna melt with homemade chicken and rice soup. Both were excellent! Got the breakfast burrito and sourdough breakfast sandwich to go. Portions were massive. Burrito was delicious and greasy, but filling. Really only needed one half -- easily could be split with another person. Same with the sandwich! Waited a while to be helped inside (to pick up food) so I did switched gears to the drive thru and was tended to immediately by the same people who weren't serving me inside. Truth be told, I stayed far away when it was Asian fusion, food served on plastic, and counter service. Now it is incredible breakfast and lunch with table service. I love the remodel so quaint inside. They have complementary coffee while you wait. Unfortunately, when I went it was busy and coffee was out. Breakfast was excellent. I preferred the hash browns to potatoes. They were more flavorful. Service outstanding despite being busy. Dessert counter. They serve alcohol so big plus there. I've been here for breakfast a few times. Breakfast shouldn't be hard to cook, right? At least you'd think so. But I've been amazed, over the years, how hard it's been to get potatoes well-done or dropped eggs cooked soft. And, unfortunately, I'm a little picky about things like that. I'm happy to say that everything I have eaten here has been cooked exactly as advertised and/or to my preference. It's tasty, fresh and besides being cooked perfectly, the portions are good. I have been here twice and both time were just meh. Went on the weekend so we knew going in it would be a moment to be seated. The hostess was super unpleasant. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Love the coffee bar up front while you wait.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] However after we sat down we asked our waitress 3 times to refill our coffees and bring creamer... we should have just gone back up front to fill them up. Not to mention the other people in our party who didn't get coffee didn't get their drinks until the food came outs legit the other tables around who sat down after us got their drinks way before we did. I just left Taste after rejecting my breakfast. Everything was cold. Eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffle. All COLD. A cook? who throws potatoes & sausage on a plate after heating them for 2 minutes.!? Waffle was dry, tasteless, barely warm. Mediocre diner food, at best. Wildly popular place, just because there are no other breakfast spots nearby. They used to use disgusting margarine on toast and cooking eggs! I asked for cheddar scramble once and got a flat layer of eggs cooked in a grill with slices of cheese laid on top, barely melted. I have rejected poached eggs with whites loose and raw. Other times, poached eggs were mostly hard boiled. The girls work hard serving, I have known one who remembers me and is terrific, but not seen her for awhile. In dire need of new head cook, kitchen manager. read more

This is expected for a popular place with decent (if slightly over-priced) food. I cast no disparagement on any business or their employees for trying to make it in today's social environment. My wife absolutely adores this place, and I like it well enough. I recommend everyone try the experience at least once. I have passed by Taste so many times when I've been in West Leb and have never gone in until today. I was very curious about it. Well, I was very pleasantly surprised. The ambience is very simple and at the same time very clean and inviting. I was very impressed with the menu. You can get a huge assortment of breakfast items as well as a huge choice of lunch items, from sandwiches to wraps to salads to combos. The service is quick and the food is delicious. This was a pick up order, I took this picture as soon as I opened the box. The "croissant " is more of an odd shaped bun than a croissant. No acknowledgment of empty drink nor any acknowledgment that I was even sitting there. Never got checked on to see if anything was needed. Got my own take out container. I wonder how long it would have taken for it to be noticed if I was dishonest and just walked out without paying. Food was hot for the most part. Ever since they became a Breakfast/Lunch spot you can tell this is what they are amazing at! Plus it has a drive through window. With so many places packed on the weekend it was fantastic to just call and pick up a tasty and hefty breakfast. I tried the pig pile omelette and it filled my ass up the whole day. The food is really good, but their online/To Go process is atrocious. If they don't forget to make the food you ordered, they will actively ignore you when you come to pick it up. Whether the window in the lobby, or the drive up window, they will ignore you for as long as they can. It's too bad because the food is really good. The service is something else entirely. read more

Really bad experience. The food was "just okay" at best, my friend did not get toast and did get bacon after specifically asking for toast and NO bacon. Upon asking for toast, they gave him uncooked bread. My other friend and I ordered the same thing and payed for maple syrup but did not get any. Atmosphere is nice, but that doesn't make up for it. read more
